He played football, Wrestling and has 3 brothers But, that he must have just shrugged it off, forgotten about it. The nerve died and he didn't know it and just recently Infection set in.

The Doctor did "part" of the Root Canal and placed a temp filling on it. I didn't realize they could do that. He wanted to drain some of the pus/infection and get him comfortable faster!!! He is on antibiotics and goes back to have the root canal finished in a mouth. The tooth is now loose (from all the swelling) but will tighten up. The Dr. Is going to call and check on him, but if all goes well...He should feel alot better tomorrow. Already the "pain" has greatly reduced.

They tried to Numb him for the partial Root canal...But it just wasn't happening. Son told them to go ahead and do it anyways *shiver* I have had one of THOSE before. Not fun at all. He was a trooper!!

The Doctor was AWESOME and even called for me to come back, to the room, to talk to me "twice" and showed me everything and explained everything to me.

Thank you all, so much, for the good thoughts and prayers.

Now, the next challenge will be trying to FEED this big guy, nothing but soft foods!!
Oh, I'm so glad he's ok.

Beer's a liquid. Just sayin'.

I'm not hungry at all!!!! Actually, the thought of eating something right now...makes my lip do the Elvis thing.

I suppose that I will have to make myself eat something later?!!!!

Well, I have to go and get ready for my interview. I'll talk with you all later!!!!
Good luck on your interview, Ms. Click!

Hi, Everyone!!!!

Just thought that I would check-in...before going to bed!!!! (But no one appears to be here!!!!)

I am forcing myself to eat a cup of warm turkey soup...without noodles of course, or crackers for that matter.

Next, I will take a shower and go to bed. I'm tired for some reason today. Also, I want to look rested tomorrow.

My interview, tonight, went okay...I think. This interview was for the 6 hr/week job...a nice extra, but if I don't get it I don't think that I will cry too hard. I will probably hear something tomorrow about it. Wouldn't it be nice if I got a bunch of good news tomorrow about the jobs?

Well, I hope that you all are having, or had, a good night!!!!!!

Tooter, I'm glad it's something fixable. I had an infected root canal - for several years. Mine wasn't especially painful, but fighting the low grade infection all the time really took it out of me! I'd had the root canal filled about ten years earlier, but they missed a bit. It was very expensive to fix . But I'm glad I had it done.

I've just made Tooter's flax muffins - they're much better than the recipe I tried last time. Add them to your list, L&F (who knows, you might even regain the flatulence you've missed ).

I'm not sure yet how the flax is affecting me generally - I'm feeling quite wiped out and PMS-y at the moment, and it's only day 19 so I don't know if it's going to be a short cycle or a long PMS . I don't think my temperature's fluctuating quite as much as it was, and I did feel quite normal for a few days. I even feel normal now - normal for PMS exhaustion . I'll keep taking it and see how it progresses.

Morning gals,

My weight is back on the rise, which I expected, I seem to be entering my two week "up" cycle.

Ailuros, hope you feel better, more energetic soon. Hopefully it wont be a long PMS.

Click, hope good things happen for you today.

Tooter, hope your son is feeling better.

Everyone else, have a fun day today. Where are yellowrose, RMAE, IxtapaCheryl?

Good day everyone! I did the Turbo Jam this morning and it kicked my butt and it needed it.

Tooter, I'm hoping he's feeling better soon.

LOL!

Cosmic Muffin posted this on our Support Unlimited thread. She actually lifted it from another thread. Definitely worth spreading around...

A WOMAN'S WEEK AT THE GYM

If you read this without laughing out loud, there is
something wrong with you. This is dedicated to everyone who ever attempted to
get into a regular workout routine.

Dear Diary,

For my birthday this year, my daughter (the dear)
purchased a week of personal training at the local health
club for me.

Although I am still in great shape since being a high school
cheerleader 43 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go
ahead and give it a try.

I called the club and made my reservations with a personal
trainer named Brad, who identified himself as a 26-year-old aerobics
instructor and model for athletic clothing and swim wear.

My daughter seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started!
The club encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

MON DAY:

Started my day at 6:00 a.m. Tough to get out of bed, but
found it was well worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Brad
waiting for me. He is something of a Greek god - with blond hair,
dancing eyes and a dazzling white smile. Woo Hoo!! Brad gave me a tour and
showed me the machines. I enjoyed watching the skillful way in which he
conducted his aerobics class after my workout today. Very inspiring!

Brad was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, although my gut was
already aching from holding it in the whole time he was around. This
is going to be a FANTASTIC week-!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

TUESDAY:

I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the
door.

Brad made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into
the air then he put weights on it! My legs were a little! wobbly on the
treadmill, but I made the full mile. Brad's rewarding smile made it all
worthwhile. I feel GREAT-!! It's a whole new life for me.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

WEDNESDAY:

The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying the toothbrush
on t he counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I
have a hernia in both pectorals. Driving was OK as long as I didn't
try to steer or stop. I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot.

Brad was impatient with me, insisting that my screams
bothered other club members. His voice is a little too perky for early in the
morning and when he scolds, he gets this nasally whine that is VERY
annoying. My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Brad put me on the
stair monster. Why the hell would anyone invent a machine to simulate
an activity rendered obsolete by elevators? Brad told me it would help
me get in shape and enjoy life. He said some other crap too.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

THURSDAY:

Brad was waiting for me with his vampire-like teeth exposed
as his thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn't
help being a half an hour late, it took me that long to tie my shoes.

Brad took me to work out with dumbbells. When he was not
looking, I ran and hid in the restroom. He sent some skinny idiot to find
me.

Then, as punishment, he put me on the rowing machine -- which
I sank.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

FRIDAY:

I hate that Brad more than any human being has ever hated any
other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic,
anorexic little punk. If there was a part of my body I could move
without unbearable pain, I would beat him with it.

Brad wanted me to work on my triceps. I don't have any
triceps! And if you don't want dents in the floor, don't hand me the damn
barbells or anything that weighs more than a sandwich. The treadmill flung
me off and I landed on a health and nutrition teacher.
Why couldn't it have been someone softer, like the drama
coach or the choir director?

------------------ ----------------------------------------------------

SATURDAY:

Brad left a message on my answering machine in his grating,
shrilly voice wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing him
made me want to smash the machine with my planner. However, I lacked the
strength to even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven
straight hours of the Weather Channel..

----------------------------------------------------------------------

SUNDAY:
I'm having the Church van pick me up for services today so I
can go and thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next
year my daughter (the little ****) will choose a gift for me that is
fun -- like a root canal or a hysterectomy. I still say if God had
wanted me to bend over, he would have sprinkled the floor with diamonds.

Thanks for the giggle, Hippie!

Pear, nice avi . As always.

Tooter, here's a cup of coffee to get you started. How's your son doing? Are the antibiotics starting to work?

L&F, hope the jobs work out (and that you'll still have time to talk to us).

Kiki, Lisa, Jean, everybody, hope your day is going well.

*taking the cup of coffee from Ailuros* Thank you. God bless you!!

Son is doing MUCH better today. What a relief! The Swelling has really gone down and the antibiotics are really "kicking in".

*taking another sip of coffee* Hey, you make a great cup of coffee! Umm... You didn't get this from RMAE's Boob, did ya?

No, I think her husband-to-be was taking care of that .

I'm glad the antibiotics are doing their stuff . Now you just have to head off the side effects .

Morning gals:

Hope you are all doing ok.

I got some old family pictures from my mom last Sunday and scanned them into the computer. I am going to try my hand at digital scrapbooking and see what I can create. Its my first attempt at this digitally. I like that you can do with all freebies, but you do pay to have them printed.

We ate at the Mexican yesterday and the salsa weight is piling on. Up two pounds this morning. I'm not panicking though, I have been graphing my weight like Ailuros suggested and I'm on the upswing path now so I know what is coming. I now realize its due to hormones more than anything.

I seem to be a permanent victim of my own hormones these days, but apart from that, I'm fine .

I know it's not your thing, but I love cooking, and have an excuse to do some real high carb baking over the next few days for various church functions . Inexplicably, pootling around the kitchen covered in flour and using ludicrous quantities of butter and sugar is my idea of fun . I don't even care if I can't eat it - making it is the bit I like best.

Have you tried 5-htp? It's really helped me to get a good night's sleep. I've been taking it for a few weeks now. And I don't feel dragged down the next day like I did with Melatonin.

Insomnia sucks. I'm sorry you're having to deal with it.

I take it, have for a few years now.. I doubled my dose a few weeks ago, and that really helped. I think I must be anxious about something, maybe? Don't know what, but it's a thought...

Thanks tho!

I took Melatonin years ago,,.. It worked OK, once you got past the, worse than nightmare, nightmares... But I agree it drags you down...
