No, I usually just buy what I can get at stores in my area. I've been "debating" too, If I should or not. You are talking about her baking recipes, right?

woe..... glad to see that you are still here with us. What part of Minnesota are you from? I'm from a town a little northwest (about a half an hour) of the Twin Cities.

Well, it's official. I leave for Minnesota very early in the morning-Sunday. I'll go around on Monday morning...get my name on some waiting lists, go to my school and get my books, then...make the 10 hour drive back. It will be a long haul, but it NEEDS to be done...and I can only afford to stay one night.

Right! I hate to order up a lot of things I may use only once. It seems the ones that cook/bake a lot use so many different products that I'm not familiar with.

So far my favorites are the flax muffins and CO bark. I feel I get so much bang for my carb buck with these two.

I would like to order some liquid Splenda for those things that I can't use the SF syrup in. I do use Stevia sometimes.

Thanks for responding.

I'll visit and post often - even if I cheat (which I'm not). I did so well in 2006 - and took last year off. Now I'm getting serious about 2008. I'm still afraid to get on the scale - but I promise I will in a weak moment. I'll do it on a day when I'm already in a bad mood because if I wake up in a good mood I don't want to ruin my day. Does that make sense to you?

Welcome, Cheryl.

I have read a lot of your posts on another thread and am glad I am getting to meet you. I sure hope you will stay around here in our group.

To make a very looooong (which I'm sure that everyone here is tired of hearing about) story short, I lived in Minnesota, going to College in Minnesota, moved my boys to Indiana by my parents (under false promises), am taking classes on-line this next semester through my school in Minnesota, and trying to move back there!!! (The last thread explains it in depth...if you ever need some interesting late night reading!!!)

Right now...I am attending North Hennepin Community College-in Minnesota. I am, currently, trying to be accepted into their Nursing Program...which is very hard to do these days. Some people are on waiting lists for years trying. I have all of my generals done...and to be accepted into their program for Fall 2008. My application, and $35 is due by January 31. Then, they let you know by April...if your getting in or not. If I don't get in...I may just need to change my direction....I don't have years to wait. ( I'm not a "spring chicken" anymore )

Just keep praying and using positive mind control. Tell yourself that "yes I am going to be accepted!" Good luck to you and I'll definitely send up a prayer for you.

I use to live in Wisconsin and for the life of me I don't know why. It is a beautiful state - but I HATE the cold, snow, etc. I do love Fall and the first snowfall - but that's it. Moved to Florida on 12/25/1999. I do enjoy visiting in the Summer but love coming back here.

I use to live in Panama and Texas - and love hot and humid weather. The hotter the better!

Thanks for your added prayers, and positive words. I hope that everything starts working out for me.

I like 72 degrees. It could stay at that temperature all year long, and I wouldn't mind. I hate the very cold, and can't tolerate very hot and humid!!!

Cheryl, I'm with you when it comes to the cold. I live in Southern California where we have an average year round temperature of 72 degrees.

It doesn't get very hot here, though, normally. We have had some unusual cooler weather, getting into the 40's at night and 30's one week but it always gets into the 60's or 70's in the daytime.

I visited in Washington State in Sept. and Oct. and was so ready to get back. I know, I'm spoiled!

There wasn't a good match for the homemade soup, or apple cidar vinegar on fit-day. So, these totals are not including the 1 cup of soup, or the vinegar, that I ate.

Last time I did this I used splenda, This time I am using liquid Stevia (Vanilla Cream flavor). My drinks have been really good. I'm starting to like them.

Jean, about the baking. In the Recipe help and Suggestion room, there is a user there called "KevinPa". He does ALOT of baking and revamping recipes for people.

Anyways, he also uses alot of the products that you and I don't have or use yet.

There is Something called Protein 5000 and 8000? (something like that) anyways, I looked at it on Netrition, it pretty much does what the "Vital Wheat Gluten" Would do (that we talked about for baking) except they both are even lower in carbs.

I still need to read more and learn more about this baking bit.

I don't want to buy anything that I won't use much.

The recipe help room is a great place to learn this stuff. I just need to take the time to experiment and decide if something is actually worth me Ordering on line.

I did well today on my "Choices"

Brunch was Eggs

Lunch was a hamburger wrap with mayo

Dinner was seared salmon and broccoli with butter.

I got plenty of Coconut oil in today.

I had 2 glasses of the ACV drink with Sweetener (giving LF a Look)

I also got some exercise in.

Yep, made good choices today and feel really good today.
