EXCUSE ME, LF? Am I seeing things or did you post that all you ate was "Water, Pork rinds and maybe CO bark later"? Are you on a starvation diet?

I'm halfway through my first cup of coffee, so forgive me if I got this wrong.

This is not a good thing.

Did you eat anything else? What's going on?

Ok, went back and read why.

Like I said, I'm only halfway through my first cup of coffee.

Are you going to be able to go out and get some food today?

Sorry for the Novel!!!!

I am just getting ready to take our little guy bowling with the cub scouts and don't even have a minute, but I want to be sure and say that this is likely THE healthiest thing you have ever done in your life. Now follow through. Go to a shelter if you have to. Sell what little you have left and get back to Minnesota. Do whatever it takes. And do NOT leave either one of your boys there to be influenced by that man.

I have no doubt there is far more to this horror story. Just know that he does NOT define who you are and what you are worth.

More later!

MomToEli, I agree.

Jean, help me out here. What was the Brand of CO you tried before (That gave you a bad reaction)? You said the one you tried that worked was Spectrum?

What do you think is the difference?

I know there is a price difference ($5) for 16 oz? Lost and found asked me about that awhile back (Before I bought the cheaper stuff at walmart in the cooking section). Now, the cheap cooking stuff is ALOT cheaper then the $5 spectrum. I didn't know the brand that Lost and Found was talking about and "assumed" it was the bad kind.

It's just got me wondering about the different brands. It's nice to know that there is a cheaper one out there.

I'll have to do some searching on it. Where did you get it?

The brand I purchased at a health food store is 'NOW', they sell the same size jar, 12 oz. at Netrition for $6.99 but I paid $13 for it.

The Spectrum cost $5.00 for 10 oz. and I bought it where I buy my groceries at the base commissary. It was with the cooking oils.

BTW, I ate 1/4 of the bark again last night, that makes 3/4of the batch today and NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No discomfort at all. Isn't that the weirdest thing?

I haven't gained from the little cheats on Tues. (no bad stuff, just too many carbs) and have had no cravings, when do you think it would show up?

Actually, I had gained about 1 1/2 lb. from starving myself and am back down 1/2 lb. Now, did I feel starved; NO, did my body react to it; YES! Now that I can incorporate the CO I see great things happening in my future...

I would never have pursued it if I hadn't been spurred on by your posts, then I followed through with the research.

Actually, I am beginning to wonder if the extra carbs at Christmas was actually good for me. I must have needed that little boost for my body to get out of starvation mode. It was in the form of an extra handful of cashews, 4 oz Merlot and Raspberry Walnut salad dressing. I added it up and it was well beyond my usual 25-30 carbs per day, more like 100. However, it wasn't over my calorie count.

MomToEli,

It sounds like you have a full schedule. I love to see parents so involved with their children. It's a good recipe for happy, healthy kids.

It is good to see you, even though you were rushed.

That does tend to help some people, to do that once in awhile. The only danger is if you go "over board" and can't stop.

I believe the book (I have read so many) that talks about it is Protein Power?
I could be wrong on this, Like I said...I have read so many. But, it's mainly low carb and One cheat meal a day? The "Cheat" is limited and has a time frame.

You could read up on this and experiment with It Jean.

The reason I never really did it, is because of IBS. I would tend to have it again with the Cheat meals.

We all have different bodies and different diet related diseases that we are dealing with.

I'll try and do some "searching" for you when I find the time.

Morning gals:

We're expecting snow today, so I think it will be a quiet day at home. Maybe a trip to the grocery store. I have a pork roast to put in the crockpot, but I wasnt sure what to put in there with it, maybe some broth and some wine. Any ideas?

hehehehehe Actually, the "Boys" and I have always said it to him. We actually think he looks more like "Mr. Higgins" and Hubby even admitted it himself. So, I'm not in "Trouble".

I'm the only one in the family that likes sauerkraut. I'm going to devise a sauce on my own. Maybe see if Dana Carpender has any suggestions.

It ended up being BBQ Pulled Pork from an envelope of seasonings. Too much sugar for me but the rest will love it. It smells awesome!

Tooter, sorry I had to run an senior friend over for a cuppa and haircut this morning and just returned. I knew you were going to send it but couldn't wait.

Believe me, this was worth the wait. I laughed so hard, it was a depends moment.

Not only the facial hair but the attitude makes it a look-a-like for sure! I'm glad he sees the likeness so he wasn't offended.

Jean
