MomToBe, I hope you were able to make it to church and that you also made it to the special dinner tonight.

Pear, good that you could get to church. Hopefully your daughters will work with you to create a Merry Christmas in your home.

Click, how are you doing today? I hope you are keeping on track.

I bet Tooter is one busy lady, running around getting everything ready for the big day.

Hi....Jean!!!!

Today has been another stressful day!!!!

Besides all of the other ongoing bullsh1t, I got a phone call from the ex's wife. She's the type that can't function if there is nothing wrong. There must not be anything wrong in their household right now. To be honest with you, I'm getting really sick and tired of everything!!!!!

I'm staying on track, but probably not eating enough!!!

Today:
~Water
~Porkrinds
~Romaine Lettuce w/ 1 can of tuna, small amount of shredded marble jack, 8 pieces of turkey pepperoni--
~dressing(mayo mixed w/ splenda)
~Bark

Click, a thought popped into my head when I was reading your last post. I am beginning to believe your father gets joy out of angerifying you. You aught to try to show him that things dont bother you so wont give him the pleasure. You could relate him to the classroom bully, if you stopped giving him the reaction he wants, he would often stop messing with you and move on.

As for your ex's wife, I find it really odd that she called. Was she trying to stir up trouble?

I saw you posted that you are a smoker. I was too until a few years ago. It was hard quitting. If I were you, I wouldn't try to quit now. You can't have your body go through too many changes at once. Perhaps once you reach your goal weight and are keeping an eye on your weight, you should quit. I tried the nicorette gum and the patch and the patch was much better for me.

As for your food today, you're right, you're probably not eating enought, but you're doing your best under the circumstances.

Click,

Thanks for the compliment on Amanda's picture. It is a more current one and Chelli took it with her cell phone at the Mall where she got her long hair cut off. They had a make-up day and the salon fixed her all up. No, she doesn't wear make-up, normally, she's too young.

Hi everyone. Miss you all.

I apologize for not being around. I'm into a small funk and working my way out. It's been 3 months since the dosage of my meds for hypothyroid had been changed. I was finally feeling 'like my old self'. Long thick nails, lots of energy, not depressed, etc. Endo decided my tsh was too suppressed and cut my meds in half! I argued with her that it seems I feel my best when tsh is low. I finally told her I would try for 3 months. Wish I stuck to my guns on this one. I can't seem to lose weight at all, I'm tired and all I want to do is lay around, I really hope I don't have to change doctors.

Sorry to vent and run. I just didn't want you think I left. I'll be quietly in the background for a while.

Wish everyone the Merriest Christmas and Happiest New Year ever!!
Miss you all

HI....Backspace!!!!!

I've missed you MUCH!!!!! Glad to see you are still here!!!!

Sorry to hear about your meds. You need to do what makes you feel best. If it means going to a different Doctor...then, so be it. Maybe, you could go back to the current doc and SHOW him/her how bad you feel, and just start taking the other dosage....the one that you FELT better on.

Have you, by chance, beeen using Coconut Oil? Maybe, this could be effecting your tsh levels. If you haven't been using it...maybe, you might want to give it a try......here's something that I found for you:

Thyroid-Stimulating, Anti-Aging Effects of Coconut Oil

Many researchers have reported that coconut oil lowers cholesterol (Blackburn et al 1988, Ahrens and colleagues, 1957). In 1981, Prior et al. showed that islanders with a diet high in coconut oil showed no harmful health effects. When these groups migrated to New Zealand and lowered their daily coconut oil intake, their total cholesterol and especially their LDL cholesterol - the so-called evil one - increased. The cholesterol-lowering properties of coconut oil are a direct result of its ability to stimulate thyroid function. In the presence of adequate thyroid hormone, cholesterol (specifically LDL-cholesterol) is converted by enzymatic processes to the vitally necessary anti-aging steroids, pregnenolone, progesterone and DHEA. These substances are required to help prevent heart disease, senility, obesity, cancer and other diseases associated with aging and chronic degenerative diseases.
Weight Loss Stimulating Properties of Coconut Oil - a Direct Result of Thyroid Stimulation

In the 1940's farmers tried coconut oil to fatten their animals but discovered that it made them lean and active and increased their appetite. Whoops! Then they tried an anti-thyroid drug. It made the livestock fat with less food but was found to be a carcinogen (cancer causing drug). In the late 1940's, it was found that the same anti-thyroid effect could be achieved by simply feeding animals soybeans and corn.

Here is the LINK: (Alot of interesting info here!!!)

Coconutoil.com - Research on Coconut Oil's Benefits

I hope that you aren't quietly in the background....we all love you and can offer you so much support through all of this....please, stay here (openly) with us!!!!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Over my lifetime, every angle has been tried with this man. Normally, the common procedure in this house, is to put up with him, and then, act like nothing is wrong....like excusing his poor behavior, justifying his behavior, better yet.....forgiving his behavior due to high blood sugar!!!!

This time, I will not allow him to feel justified, forgiven, or even like he is a human being to me....because in my eyes---he's not!!!!! To me....he's a poor excuse of life that is helping with the green house effect by poluting the air with his breath and consuming O2 without a good cause!!!

----that may be how you feel while reading this, but...unless I were to post a l-o-o-n-n-g explanation to this, you may not understand.

My sister lives in the area, and won't even come here for Christmas. She dropped gifts off at my Mom's work. (She told me that she got my Dad the movie, "Anger Management", and my brother some kind of cologne called, "Snake Skin"!!!):h yst:We thought that the two of them are so arogant that the intension would probably go right over their heads, but we had a laugh anyways!!!!

As far as smoking...your idea is what I thought that I would do. I couldn't successfully do everything....I tried!!! So, caffeinne and carbs went first!!!

Can anyone tell me.......if one is to indulge...and treat themselves....with a few Christmas Cookies....would one then need to go through the nasty withdraws again?

I haven't had any....but mom made cookies and special K bars (my favorite )....................and it is all sooooooooo tempting!!!!!!

Mom to Eli has been indulging on something called "Christmas Crack".........saw on another thread........

Mom to Eli says:

For the record, this Christmas Crack is sinful. Totally sinful. And evil.

Oh, and thank goodness I lined the pan with the foil. The foil sticks to this stuff. Next time (did I say next time? Maybe next YEAR!) I will butter the foil so perhaps it won't stick.
__________________________________________________ ______________________________________________
It's something made with crackers and........well........here it is

HIGH CARB RECIPE for anyone interested in making an easy, delicious, impressive holiday sweet treat:

Home-Made Heath Bar Candy (aka "Pine Bark" or "Christmas Crack")

1 small box (or one column from large box) saltine crackers
2 sticks butter
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
12 oz. bag semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line sided cookie sheet with aluminum foil. Lay the crackers out in the cookie sheet in a single layer, covering the sheet entirely (may need to break a few crackers to fill the edges). Set aside. Put butter and sugar into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Boil exactly three minutes. Pour mixture over crackers, being sure to cover all the crackers. Bake in 400 degree oven for exactly 7 minutes (any longer and you may have a burned, sticky mess - watch carefully!). Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over top while still hot. Use a knife or spatula to spread chocolate chips as they melt, covering the entire pan smoothly. Refrigerate until hardened. Break into pieces and serve, or store in an airtight container.
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _________________________________________________
So....being new to this woe.....does eating things like this, make you have to start all over....I do not want to, but everything is so tempting!!!! I am strong enough to get past it, but sure would love to enjoy as well!!!!!

Gosh....I hate the guilt that I feel if I do not do everything to my best ability!!!! I hope that this won't be like starting all over!!! I must say that it tasted good, but I wonder how I ever lived every day of life feeling this bloted (spelling?) and yucky.
