Pear, love the cat pictures. I sure do hope the enzymes are the answer for hubby. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Tooter, you really caught me unaware when you referred to 'wise one' as a smart a$$! Here I thought you were full of excellent information. Little did I know that you were thinking such a thing. I just thought it was your ancient age coming through. You know, all the wrinkles showing that you have earned through your many many years. ![]() What does that say about me, I could be your mother. My kids have always told me that my middle name is Trouble! I'm usually stirring someone up with dry humor. ![]() I hope everyone is snoozing away and I'll see you tomorrow. Jean |

Good morning everybody
. I'm spending today doing all the last minute bits and pieces ready to go away for two weeks. I'm looking forward to the time with my family, and seeing some friends who live near them, but at this stage I always wish I could just stay at home .We'll be eating lunch out on Thursday, when we drive up, and dinner on Friday. My parents always have a sort of small party with a buffet on Christmas Eve, there's Christmas dinner, my mother's birthday on 27th, and two lots of friends that want to see us for a meal - one to take us out, and one will cook for us. That's seven meals. The restaurant ones should be OK, I'll have to make sure there are plenty of things I can eat at the buffet, but I can do that by helping my mother get it ready. Christmas dinner I'll have a roast potato, a bit of chestnut stuffing, and a small piece of Christmas pudding. The only one that's not really under my control is when my friend cooks for us, and last time we went there they did fish with lots of green veggies, and since we helped ourselves to the veggies, they didn't notice that I skipped the potatoes. So with luck that one shouldn't be too much of a problem either. I hope you don't mind my thinking out loud here, but if I just drift into it, I can see a nibble here and a nibble there adding up to feeling terrible long before I get back home again. I don't find that one meal off plan is a problem, but if it continues, then I start to feel bloated, stodgy and generally a bit off-colour. I'll feel bad before I see the impact on my weight. When I go on holiday, it's the way I feel that motivates me more than having a couple of pounds to lose when I get home - I don't want to spend my holidays feeling bad, so I pay attention to what I eat most of the time. |

![]() ![]() ![]() I truly must be getting Senile!!! ROFLMAO It truly must be that DRY sense of Humor!![]() Jean, It reminds me of When My Husband and I were newly married and we went to his parents house for Dinner. My MIL is a Sweet Woman, who always seemed so prim and proper. So, there we are, eating dinner and having a stab at "dinner" conversation. There was a Pause and then MIL looked at me and said "Do you like Seafood"? I Said "Yes" and started to talk about Seafood. Well, I think YOU know what happened. She had a huge mouthful of half chewed food in her mouth, She Opened her mouth and stuck out her tongue with all that food on it"! She then Swallowed and said "SEE, FOOD"?!?!? My reaction was first SHOCK and my mouth dropped (She caught me off guard). Then I laughed so hard, I had tears rolling down my face.![]() Even after all these years, she still catches me off Guard! LOL

Ailuros, Have a WONDERFUL time! We will truly miss you. 2 weeks is a long time, I understand your feelings of just wanting to stay home at this point.
I so, Totally, agree that it's best to mainly stay on track when you travel and are away. Boy, If I don't, I truly pay a price with "Bloat" and "Not traveling well", so I totally understand what you are talking about. I learned the hard way, that I truly can't stray very far, or I pay a huge price of not feeling good. (I also truly live up to my user name) I have my fingers crossed that you will have Lots of "Better Choices" available to you, and that You'll enjoy your holiday and feel well!![]() MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! ![]() We will keep the home fires burning until you get back. |

Morning gals:
Hubby is all excited about the new enzymes. He's going to stop at the store to pick up something else with wheat to try. If all goes well, we'll be going out to a pizzaria on saturday. They have a salad bar, so I think I will be ok. Thanks for sharing, Click. Sounds like you're feeling better. Ailuros, have a wonderful time on your trip. And if I dont see you, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! |

I will probably stick close to the salad bar. They have lots of yummy toppings, and I can bring my own dressing so I know that its low carb.
Now he's thinking of getting one of those papa murphy pizzas to bake at home, so we'll see what he decides. |

My children....I can be myself. Extended family....they like everything to look way better to everyone else than it really is!!! It's so fake that, sometimes... I could just !!!! |

Hey...Gals!!!! ![]() I don't know what it is, but....I seem to have way more energy today!!! Maybe, I needed the gyro meat yesterday!!! I feel a lot better...not like a brick sh1t house!!!! ![]() So far today: Water, water, water, and more water Bark Got a weeks worth of laundry done this morning. Did everyone's dishes. On phone with advisors from two schools....getting information for the Nursing Applications. Have one of them all filled out...along with all of the required papers...and ready to go. Just waiting to hear back from the advisor at Purdue to finish that application. Another school that I'm going to apply with isn't accepting applications until March, but there is alot to do by that time. (Transcripts sent, testing, etc...)!!! I've decided that if I do not get excepted to a Nursing Program here, I'm moving back to Minnesota. (Regardless of whether I am excepted there or not!!!) I have applied to my current school in Minnesota as well. With any luck....maybe, I'll get in there!!! At this point...I just hope to get in somewhere....and be done!!!! ![]() |

*steps out of click's way* Wow, you are cleaning up a storm! I think you've made the right decision of moving where you are accepted. |

Hello, I'm back. Had a great visit and ate only two fried eggs and two slices of bacon.
Then I went to the commissary and found the cracklins that Tooter mentioned, boy are they yum. Thanks Tooter. I ate some on the way home in the car. I also found some low carb soy milk with 1 net gram of carbs so I can make choc milk with my SF syrup. Tooter, I got that burning tongue with heartburn yest. afternoon and into the evening. I took some Zantac right away and it was gone by night. Do you think it is possible to be allergic or sensitive to coconut oil? I used only one tsp and didn't eat the whole thing. I think I will use 1/4 tsp and see it I can tolerate that. I wanna use CO... ![]() When my daughter's friends came over I would always get them going til they figured out that I was messing with them, then they joined in the fun. I love to laugh and do so often, I think it keeps us young at heart and is also healthy. Many of them still stay in touch. This group is so successful because we seem to be pared up when it comes to laughter and thoughtfulness. Aren't we great!!! Pear, keep us informed on your hubby, I find that very interesting. What did you wind up eating for dinner? Ailuros, I wish you a very Merry Christmas and hope the trip turns out to be a great success. ![]() Click, Nick should be home in an hr or so and I will ask him about his friend and wife with the food poisoning and let y'all know. I am thinking the gyro may have given you some added calories that your body needed, see it may not have been all bad or bad at all. I envy your energy. One would think your family would enjoy having a maid & handy-person around. You are tenacious and I will say a prayer that you are accepted in the best place for you. Jean |
