Welp, gals....

Here's what I've had, so far, today:

4 eggs--scrammbled in butter with garlic powder and cayene pepper, drizzled with bacon grease
3 slices of bacon
1 inch square of cream cheese with sweetner (in place of my lunch that hog-face ate) Oops!!! Sorry!!! I guess that I am a b*tch!!
2 servings of pork rinds
dinner-----?

Carblog and Atkins are two totally separate programs, they dont interact at all.

Atkins comes with a handheld version and a windows version that interact together.

Carblog is stictly on your PDA. I can email it to you if you like.

I hope that explains it a little better. Sorry if I confused you before.

L&F, I guess I would finish the next semester and get that AA degree, its nice on your resume for backup.

L & F, you have a lot on your plate right now...pun intended! I think a lot of your anger right now is from feeling trapped. When you are in a situation where you have no control, it gets very frustrating. I, also, feel really bad for the boys, it can't be easy for them either.

CONGRATULATIONS on staying with this WOE, it will really help your confidence, especially when old friends in MN see you. It will make you feel sooo good.

I'm sorry I haven't been much, lately. I do a lot of running for seniors that can't get around, since I have retired, and it has kept me going lately.

Also, reading and trying to figure out my new palm has kept me off the streets and out of trouble. , unfortunately off the threads, also.

My scales needs a new lithium battery so I am using my manual but it looks like I have really lost weight this week. I just don't want to make it official til I can use the same scale. I really think the coconut oil has made all the difference.

Shhh, don't tell Tooter, we don't want her to get a swelled head. With all the tips and suggestions she has really helped us newbies right along.

Pear,

That is what I plan on doing...getting my AA. I signed up for the classes...through my school in Minnesota---to be taken on-line!!! That way...I'm not bound to be here for another semester!!! (And, I can start in January...if I'm taking it on-line!!!)
Also, I was told that already having a degree...might help me get into the Nursing Program!!! (All I have left for a 4 year degree in Nursing are the actual Nursing classes---all required generals are done!!!)

Pear,

Thanks for responding, yes, I guess I was totally confused and chose this palm to interact with my PC. It sounds like I will have to break down and buy the Atkins pkg. to get what I'm after.

I do appreciate the help you have been so kind to give.

L & C, it sounds like you are on the right track, you can make so much more money if you have the 4 yr. degree. My daughter is a nurse and makes good money and will always be able to find a job.

I'll put up a picture that shows her and the little girl that she has taken care of for four years. She was hit by a car and is totally paralyzed from chin down, can't even breath on her own. She is like part of our family, now.

The picture shows, Chelli, (daughter), Leilani and Amanda (granddaughter).

Keep up the good work, it's paying off.

Yes!!! I feel extremely bad for the boys!!!! We just moved here on October 1. My youngest, a freshman, had to change schools to come here...but, I will make sure that he goes back to his old school!!! My oldest...he was planning on going to Purdue...I guess that he will go in Minnesota---he left his friends and girlfriend to come here!!! I'm sure that they are very hurt!!! All that I can do is try to make everything better!!! Unfortunatly, the pay here in Northern Indiana doesn't correspond with the cost of living---So, I'm not going to stay here...to make things better---I'd have to quit school and work two jobs...plus, my student loan payments would start--$280/mo. I need to finish school!!!

By the way...I am proud of you!!! I really like how you spend your time with the Seniors!!! They are "The Forgotten" many of the times!!

Consider yourself the smart one then....I do not even know what a Palm is...except the part of my hand that I qlench all day lately!!!

I can not wait to get, and start using the coconut oil!!! How long have you been eating it? (Thanks Tooter!!! ) Does it give you energy?

L & C, the palm is a handheld device that allows you to record data and carry with you. For some things you can link it up to your PC and transfer info back and forth.

I have had the coconut oil for several weeks in my cupboard but didn't know how to use it til Tooter mentioned it. I bought it because I had read all of the Heath things about it. I have been using it this week only.

I wish you and the boys much success and know they understand that you were trying to make things better for them.

I hope that the boys understand!!! I can not even get them anything for Christmas!!! So, I plan on making coupons for a shopping trip in February...and wrapping those up!!!

Yes!!! I can tell that Chelli loves her job...almost, as though it is an integrated thread of life that runs through her being.

Gosh...only one week using the coconut oil. and you can tell a difference? I can't wait to get some!!!

Thanks for all of your encouraging words!!!!

My youngest is a freshman in High School, and my oldest was going to start college here in January.

In case you're wondering.....I did not know what their basement is like. They had moved since my last visit. So, why wouldn't I beleive my Mom?

Ok, I opened the Jar of LouAna Coconut oil (the cheaper kind I got at wal-mart).

I tasted it. It's creamy but has no coconut oil taste at all. None. I made lowcarb tacos tonight. I cut a sheet of low carb lavash bread into 4 pieces and fried them up in the Louana Coconut oil. They came out beautiful!! Crispy, flaky and no coconut oil taste.

I think I will be using both oils. The Virgin and the Cooking. There are just some foods that I don't want the coconut oil taste with, and this oil will take care of that. I never would have fried the lavash bread in the VCO. I don't want my mexican food to taste like coconuts!! LOL

LF,
I don't think it will have all the health benefits of the Virgin (Rev'd up Metab and energy etc...) but it would be a way to get more fat into your diet and a cheaper way to make the coconut oil bark.

I'll Make some bark with it later tonight and let you know how it goes.

I am so sorry you are going throug this, LF. But I just have to say, do you have ANY Idea what a STRONG woman you are? Look at what you have been going through and your grades are UP and your weight is DOWN! Alot of people would have used excuses, but you didn't. You truly want a better life for yourself and your boys.

Step back and take a look at yourself and be Proud. This situation is going to pass and you are going to come out the other side of this Much stronger.

How are the boys? Do they "understand" What's going on? Are they supportive?

I'm certain your palm interacts with your pc. From what you describe, its the Atkins program that you're looking for. If it works for you, then its well worth the forty bucks. I think the Atkins program is really nice. You should download the demo.

L & F, one day you'll look back at this and laugh. You'll get through it, like Tooter said, you are a strong woman, and will be all the stronger for it.

Hi, everyone!!!

I hope that I will be a stronger woman...after all of this!!! I might look back at all of this and laugh....but it will be AT my family....a*sholes!!!

My Dad is in one of his moods tonight!!! He decided to make dinner..."for the boys"...my Mom is at work!!! He set two plates at the table!!! I played along with his little game...and went in there and just sat with the boys ...while they ate!!! JERK!!!!! Now, he is eating!!! So, just so that I could live up to my title (b*tch)...I loo
