By the way, I ate all the fat on my steak last night. It's always browned so nicely and so tastey! My husband thinks it's gross. What do husbands know, anyway?
I ADORE the fat off of steak! My husband is the same way as yours. At least he has learned to cut the fat off of his steak and give it to me.

Morning gals,

We're doing ok over here. Some of the roads are closed (including my main route) but I was able to find another way to work without detouring too far. The water at work has receded and the slough is back in its banks. They closed the office after I left yesterday. I even saw my office park on the news last night. What a kicker is that?

Good news for me, I'm down to 221.0, yeah baby, thats below my kimkins low. I'll probably be up tomorrow, but I'll enjoy it for today. I even feel skinnier, as crazy as that sounds.

I'm eating my breakfast meatballs right now, and I've got a cube of swiss on my plate. Now this is my kind of diet *snicker*

That's Jack, the golden retr. mix. He's my sweetest natured baby. I thought it was a funny close up of his face.

Congratulations, Pear. It's great that you feel good about your self. To me, that is the most important thing because that's what keeps you (me) motivated. Hooray for Pear!!! I know what you mean about the diet. This food is the best!!!!

Whoosh, baby Whoosh!!! Whoosh, baby Whoosh!!!!

Just a quick drop-in on all of you!!!

I weighed this morning!!! Down to 214!!! That's 4 more pounds!!!!

I do not know why...I am finally...after longer than a week...startingto feel like I am in Ketosis!!!! I thought that it says about three days, but in my case it took longer than a week!!! I'm not even hungry!!!!

I will have to force something down for breakfast....but for now, I'm just happy to see that I've lost a total of 6 pounds in 11 days!!! I would so love to see onderland by Christmas!!!! By the way, I noticed that my seatbelt goes on much easier!!! As I mentioned in an earlier post, I seem to carry most of my weight in my gut. I KNOW that it has gone down!!! (probably water)

Congrats to all for feeling GOOD!!!! Keep it up!!!

Yeah...you told me!!!! Thanks for always being there...with all of your support, friendly advice, and laughs!!! You are such a dear!!! I guess that my body is as stubborn as me!!! It seemed like it took forever to get to the great feeling of ketosis!!! I wasn't cheating, and I know that the book says that it normally happens on about the third day....I guess that I was getting discouraged...but...thanks to you, and everyone else ...I didn't give up...it's only down (in a good way) from here on out!!!

By the way... I used your, "I see that your voice has changed, but your breath hasn't!!" on my son last night!!! It took him a second, but then, he was laughing!!! He said that he'll have to remember that one!!!

We still don't have any heating, but I can they're just refilling the system, so I hope it won't be much longer. It's been about 55 today, so it could have been a lot worse.

Yeah L&F! Way to go! Dont you love ketosis?

I read somewhere that it can take up to a week for some to get into ketosis, so you're still in the normal range.

I'm so happy you whooshed 4lbs!

The worst thing is...I almost caved in yesterday!!! (Pizza sounded so good...and I had a willing partner...who doesn't need to watch what she eats to remain slim egging me on!!! ) But, I remained firm!!! I thought...something has to happen soon!!! I'm glad that I didn't give in to a fleeting moment of thoughts!!! (Thoughts running through my head yesterday: Mmmm...pizza does sound good...and nothing seems to be happening) Thank the Lord...I remained firm...and finally...today, I'm not hungry...and the scale moved!!

By the way...what do you guys eat...if you are not hungry? It's 10:31 and all I've had today is water...but I'm not hungry!!!

Thanks, Pear!!! You are doing fabulous too!!! Do you think that we can make ONDERLAND by Christmas? I hope so!!! I will probably...the end of the week...start adding exercise too!!! I've been pretty sedentary while back in college!!! So, I thought that I would give my body a couple of weeks to adjust to the new way of eating before throughing in exercise too!!! (Being that my buldge is so stubborn) The bod may have rebelled even more!!! H-h-h-m-m-m...I wonder if that is the Scotch/Irish blood in me?

Thats cool Ailuros, I'm originally from Holland, we may be going back next summer.

L&F, I'm not sure if I can make it to Onederland by Christmas, but I'm cheering you on, you have a better chance than I do. My plan is to stay on induction until onederland and then start moving up the ladder.

I havent started exercise either. I am waiting to get some more weight off so I dont hurt my knee again.

You hurt your knee? I'm sorry!!! How did you do that? I was just thinking of starting slow...walking fast...for one or two miles three or four times per week!!! Would that hurt your knee?

I've been to Holland a couple of times. Once on a choir trip when I was a student, and again a few years ago when we went to Amsterdam for a few days. Do you still have family there?

I hurt my knee doing the Walk Away the Pounds dvds by Leslie Sansone. I love those dvd's, but it was too much for my knee at the time. I want to be careful so I dont hurt it again. Just plain walking right now is hard, because the weather is so yucky and the trails so muddy.

Most of my family is still back in Holland, and all my husbands family is there too. If I had a choice, I would prefer to live there. It just doesnt look like its in the cards for us, at least now.

LF That is HUGE to turn down a cheat like that and Look at how you were rewarded for doing that!! WOOHOO!!!

Honey, about now is when you need to get a little "something" in your tummy.

Sometimes I want breakfast and some times I dont, but around Brunch time Is a good time to put something in there, even if you aren't hungry to keep your blood sugars on an even keel. Something with protein and some fat. It doesn't have to be alot...and then you could eat at lunch.
