ahh..The boards are back - they were down for a bit yesterday.

Phils and Cubbies done for the season.
Glad I didn't think of you in Colorado, Alex, all that trash talking I would have done would have come back to haunt me. ha

I'm up on scale - better cut back on the kefir.
Plus I had some spice peanuts and an atkins bar from trader Joe's yesterday.
( I didn't buy a s/f choco bar - that's a first)

Tomorrow's weigh in will NOT be pretty.
Even though I've cut my cheese consumption like... 70% I think the yogurt/kefir has not helped overall in loss - I drink too much - it's real good is why.
So, time to adjust again. Blitz next few days. Less eats, more exercise.
Water, water - Flush the system.

Greetings to visitors.

catch ya later,
Mack

Good afternoon.. 90* F here today and i'm in MI.. pretty crazy weather.

Everything is going well, went out to eat at lunch, chinese again so I stuck to stir fry stuff, was actually really good. Tried some peppered chicken but I'm thinking it was breaded, couldn't really tell so I just had a little bit.

Tomorrow is my weigh in day.. hopefully I'll see some good results, enjoy the rest of your weekend guys!

Hello men!

I finally made it on a Sunday.

I watch your progress from a distance and just wanted to say keep on keeping on!

Pete love the ride and the hair cut...you look great.

Alex I think your headed back in the right direction .....just stay focused you have come along way!

Mack watch your portions on that kefir stuff.....stay focused.

grp keep at it and get over that wall!

Ed I believe you are trying to get over that wall also? Come on buddy you can do it! (good job on getting heart rate monitor and finding which programs the machine will do)

Shiner not too worried about your gains but make sure and keep em in check.

Doug great sub on the breakfast.....little things add up quickly.

Harley good to see you back in camp (I remember you from when I was here along time ago watching progress).

Warriorshcolar (sorry your last post I previewed didn't have your name and I am trying to go down the list) are you staying focused and on plan? two great weeks will do it then turn it into a month and you will have great momentum and losses.

Have a great week men!

Stargrabber

p.s. sorry if I missed anyone ....everyone keep up the good work.

Hello Gents and Ladies!
Harley checking in.

I had to fly out to UT this evening...I'm here for a couple days then off to Montana.

I weighed myself before I left (in the middle of the day), so I will post my stats early.

273 on 10/7/07

Gotta keep away from the booze on this trip...lots of customers to wine and dine in the evenings.

I'll check in with everyone tomorrow.

Harley Out!

Just can't get it going, but still at it. Did pretty well during the week, but dropped the ball Saturday.
Walked 18 yesterday and my knee stiffened up. Shot a sweet 71, though! Tournament season is over and NOW I start playing well........

I pretty much self destructed this week. So I'm going back to induction for two weeks. And I'm breaking out the Atkins book again to get a refresher course. I've let one week ruin, I don't know, maybe 4 months of hard work. I've been back on induction since about noon on Monday. I know a lot of that 12 pounds is water. I'm just mad that I keep doing this to myself. I know I'm better than this. I feel like I've been letting you guys down for a month now. I demand better of myself. I'm tired of writing these damn notes, trying to psych myself up after another stupid binge. I know what I have to do. I'm just not doing it. And I can imagine that you guys are getting pretty tired of watching me yo-yo. I'm killing the average here. I'm trying not to get all Emo about this. I'm glad I'm back after just a week, but pissed to have fallen off for a whole week. And I haven't exercised for days.

I have to make two important changes. I have to stop cheating when I go over to my friend Nik's house, and I need to admit to my new roommate that I'm on Atkins again. For some stupid reason I'm embarrased to be doing Atkins. Its because I've tried and failed on it so many times. I don't want my friends to see me failing so many times. Which is stupid, because I know they support me.

Sorry for ranting. Sorry for jumping off the wagon. Sorry for being so Emo about this. Things will be better.

Melodramatic enough?,

Evening or Morning Guys,

Had a good weekend in Vermont. Ate to much but it was all good. Didn't have time to weigh in and I'm over do ate the library. Took a nice hike while their. Up a mountain well more of a hill for Alex. But by the time we were almost to the top my buddy needed a rest and I told him that I was the one who needed a rest the last time we did this trek. So I guess all the exercise is paying off. Just not the way I'd like at the moment. I'll do a late weigh in tommrrow or today, this afternoon somtime. Ed out.

Tuesday

Morning everyone. Yanks went down in flames...again. My winter officially starts now. Throw in a gain on the scale and I am a little cranky this morning. Had a huge steak dinner at a restaurant last night...probably 24 ounces and managed to put most of it away along with about a cup of broccoli. It was good but it was alot. Took a 2.5 mile walk yesterday.

Warrior - hang in there and get committed. Tell your friends about your diet and maybe you will be less apt to cheat around them. I started off not telling anyone and as I lost weight people started noticing. Once I knew they were watching, it kind of forced me to stay on plan. The weight will come off quickly - no way you gained 10 lbs of fat in a week. Just do it.

Big D - way to get back on the horse. Good job

Randy - Havent seen you reporting a loss in awhile. Keep it up.

Dog - The lbs are more stubborn now. Nice job coming in with a loss

Mack - Lots of protein and water, and low carbs and that weight will come right off

Ed - Nice job on the hike. I love the feeling of doing something more easily than before

Colo - Slow and steady wins the race. Nice job posting a loss

Shiner - hope you enjoyed the holiday

Doug H - Sodium often bites me as well - chicken wings are my weakness

Epic - A loss is a loss. Keep it up

Dig in folks. Have a great day

Hey Guys,

One more day with the auditors. They finish tonight after the meeting with the board of directors and then they are gone for another year.

My weight is bouncing from 195-197 lately. Still hiking at lunch but eating has been a little erratic. Gotta get fully on plan to make this work.

Adam – One bad week will not destroy anything. You have caught yourself and are at least honest with yourself. Now be good to yourself and stay on plan and get exercising. You can do this Bud; just stay focused on the end result. Stop worrying about losing weight, and focus on eating healthy and exercising. The weight will come off on its own.

Guys – we need to get a little pumped up here. Lets get excited about health and how great we have done as a group this year. Just look at all the pounds that we have shed. That is quite an accomplishment. Lets keep focused and get moving again.

Great days everyone!

Wednesday

Morning men. Scale has been up the past two day but I have been completely on plan and in my calorie target range so hopefully the scale catches up with me.

Exercise has been good. Took a walk monday and went the gym yesterday. Previously I had been working out in a hotel gym that was free for me. They had treadmills, elipticals a stairmaster and a bike. They also had a circuit set up with about 6 different machines and a rack of dumb bells. Only downside was I had to drive 15-20 minutes to get there.

I won a 3 month membership to a gym that is about a 1/2 mile away. What a difference. Literally 30 of each piece of cario equipment, multiple circuits each having up to 20 different pieces of equipment and all the free weights I could want. Amazing - I really didnt know where or how to start.

Anyway, what do you guys pay for your gym membership? This place will be 40 per month or I can save some money if I sign up annually.

Have a great day

Grp, I can't help you on that one. I have never joined a gym

Still 207 this morning so I didn't make my goal. I've been eating on plan but seem stuck in my old holding pattern again.

I am going in for my shoulder surgery tomorrow morning so you guys will have to do without this old fart posting for a few days until I get moving again.

Just get it done guys

Good morning, fellas

Doug, hope all goes well tomorrow. Rotator cuff?
What'd you do to mess up shoulder - like chopping wood for years or something? I'm just supposing that is something that is common in the NW. Keep us posted as you can.

Well, something is seriously amiss with my diet - too much cultured milk product and I suspect breading in some meatballs I've been buying on occasion,'cause scale is going wrong direction. Too wet salads, etc... who knows. ( I just don't write it down but should)
So, back to some induction eating and upping the exercise.
If I can get to 275 by first of Nov. that would be a mind boost - here goes.

Ed, sounds like you are pretty recovered from H.A. Keep it up.

GRP, I had a membership and hardly used it- preferred outside walking to treadmill.
But in winter weather its a good thing for real sweaty workouts.
See how you like it for the 3 months - you should get better deal than 480 a year at 40 a month. 250? good luck with it.

Cooler weather here, feels great.

Later, gents

Mack, yup, rotator cuff. My shoulders have bothered me for years. I had the right one done 2 years ago, now its time to get the left done. I'm retiring this coming summer so I need to get all this stuff out of the way while I have good insurance.

Morning Guys,

Long day yesterday but now I can get back to normal. Eating was good yesterday but no hike. Back at it today. The scale shows me back down to 195 today so that is good. Still need to keep at it so I get to goal. Got to string some good days, then weeks together.
I’m going in for a physical tomorrow. Haven’t had one since surgery about 8 years ago. I’m anxious to see how things look in the inside.

Doug – Good luck on your surgery, we’ll be thinking about you.

Mack – You gotta watch all that little stuff, it piles up.

Grp – I’ve never been a gym member. I’ve always wanted to, but could never get past some of my hang ups.

Chris – “Always look on the bright side of life…” song in Monty Python.

Have a great day everyone!
