*♥*MAKING A MORE FABULOUS ME: September Challenge (STARTER THREAD - 9/01)*♥*

Welcome to the MAKING A MORE FABULOUS ME CHALLENGE - for SEPTEMBER

TODAY, Saturday, September 1st, will begin 1 month of making each of us more beautiful inside and out!!! Challenge end date will be Sunday, September 30th.

Challenge Summary: This STARTER THREAD will allow anyone who wishes to join to post their PERSONAL GOAL for the next MONTH (along with some personal stats and information to help those others on the thread get to know you and to better support you on your journey!!! This challenge has been started to provide a circle of support among those who join while on our personal journey to improving ourselves. This challenge will not only focus on losing weight, but on finding ways to improve self-image and self-confidence as well! We all provide support to one another regardless of your choice of meal plan or way of eating.

Challenge "Rules":

1. Post in this STARTER THREAD with the following information:
a. First Name
b. Personal Goal - be it weight loss, measurements, exercise, etc.
c. Your WOE - Atkins, S4L, WW, etc. (It doesn't matter really, but it will help with feedback if you ask for advice and such later down the road!)
d. Stats - To track progress (i.e., starting weight/current weight/goal weight… similar for other goals)
e. Measurements for the following:
i. Bust (over breasts)
ii. Waist (at most slender place)
iii. Hips (at widest part)

(OPTIONAL) – With these, do either the left or right and pick a freckle or something as a "marker" so you know you are measuring the same spot each time.
iv. Upper Thigh
v. Upper Arm
vi. Calf

2.
Post a CURRENT or BEFORE picture -- OPTIONAL – but encouraged!!! (At the challenge end, it would be great to have everyones starting challenge photos and their ending challenge photos to show progress!)

3. The Challenge will have a DAILY thread.

4. Check-in daily and post your menus and exercise.

5. If you use FITDAY and would like feedback from the group, please make it PUBLIC and add a link to it in your signature.

6. Weekly weigh-ins or measure-ins are mandatory. They will be held on Mondays. Help us to help you by letting us know how you are progressing.

7. Exercise is not mandatory but strongly encouraged.Get your bodies moving for at least 1/2 an hour a day, 3-5 days a week. The term "exercise" is used very loosely. Using machines, weights, swimming, walking, running, dancing around your living room with the blinds closed (bonus points if it includes a pole), chasing your kids around the park, sitting on the couch and doing leg lifts while watching Lifetime for Women, ANYTHING GOES!!!!!!!!


Also, with the DAILY THREADS we will be posting a "positive self-reaffirmation statement" for each to finish when they post each day. It will help us to focus on finding our inner strength and beauty and promote a positive self-image!


NOTE: For anyone wishing to join the challenge after the start date, please post in this STARTER THREAD FIRST and then join us in the daily threads... This way, we can keep track of everyone in the challenge and their personal goals!!!

b. Personal Goal - to lose 10 pounds during the month of September, stay on plan and exercise at least 3 times a week.

d. Stats - 188.8/188.8/178.8 (original start weight 218)
e. Measurements for the following:
i. Bust (over breasts) 42 Under 36.5
ii. Waist (at belly button) 34.75
iii. Hips (at widest part) 43
iv. Upper Thigh 26
v. Upper Arm 13
vi. Calf 16.5

I hadn't taken measurements in about 2 months....I would just keep the same measurements from the previous month since my weight was the same....so since I gained some weight I took them and OMG

Well I started induction yesterday...and I lost 3 pounds overnight...I know it's mainly water weight, but it brought me back down into the 180's I was feeling so awful seeing 191 on the scale I'll take a photo later today to post.

TOM is here so there's no way I'm measuring today cause I feel like a puffer fish ... No sense getting all down about it when I know its TOM ...My main "measurement' is going to be my Old Navy cargos from last fall...

Heidi - Thanks for getting today's thread started. I was hoping to get on here early this morning but my hair appointment went awry yesterday afternoon and it ended up getting moved to 8:30am... So I was up at 7am and out the door at 8am with barely enough time to grab a cup of coffee on my way out!

Cyn - WTG with getting back on induction... hope you continue to see the losses throughout the challenge!!!

Hi gang! Count me in for the fabulous September challenge... I'm back from vacation (had a great time!) and now I need to get serious about following a healthy eating and exercise program!

1. Post in this STARTER THREAD with the following information:
a. First Name - Cathy
b. Personal Goal - make it back to 169 in September and get myself back to the gym 4x per week!
c. Your WOE - low-cal (~1400 cal/day), moderate carb
d. Stats - I weighed in at 181 today () and hope to get back down to 169 by the end of the month!

Well...let's just let me join this as I AGAIN am restarting. I really need motivation. I really don't know what's going on with me...but my scale just keeps climbing and I got to get myself in check.
I will weigh in tomorrow...but not sure if I am willing to share anything except my measurements and lbs lost.
I bought me some lc foods...Told DH...I have to do low carb. Bought me a new spiral for a journal and am currently downing some water at 9:23pm tonight.
Will weigh in the morning...but don't know when I can post cause going to a new church for the first time since moving to Colorado.

oh, that is what it said in the first post..was not sure if you copied it or if that is what we decided. How did you do this weekend...still on plan..me NO!! But I am not hungry yet today so I will be on plan today .

Good Morning Ladies

I slept in today and now I'm trying to get motivated to tackle the dishes and laundry. My kitchen sink stopped up last night so I couldn't do the dishes last night like I wanted to When we remodel the kitchen I want to get a dish washing machine Three of my four little ones spent the night at my SIL's house last night so the house it extremely quiet I have a meeting at 1 so I really need to move my bootie if I'm gonna get anything done!

Hi!

Just popping in to say "Goodbye for now"

We are starting school tomorrow (home school) and I know that I won't be on the computer for awhile and won't be posting.

Just thought I'd let everyone know. I hate it when people suddenly "disappear" with no warning.
