Good Morning everyone!
Today is dss 20th birthday. Little celebration going on tonight. I already put my food for the day in my tracker..if i add or dont eat i will subtract it later . I find this a little easier to do it ahead and make the adjustments. I need to get busy and find my dress for my sisters wedding.
Normal busy day today. Oh yes and my scale is down a pound today..woo hoo..

Good morning again! Back from the gym. Took it easy and did 2 miles on the treadmill with warmup averaged 3 mph. Not alot but just working on the "habit" part again...my workout partner wasn't there....I don't want to tell my oldest DD but I actually prefer to workout on my own and by myself....Oh, well....
Going to start my oatmeal for breakfast here in a bit....I was thinking about going back to flex but like Jo, I tend to use my points for junk food....I am going to continue on core this week but really try to work the program...haven't done that for awhile...If I stay on core then I only have 35 extra points and have to stretch that out over the week....
Jo: wishing your dss a happy birthday....good that you got your food planned out for the day and then adjust if needed....I should try that....sometimes coming home for lunch and THEN figuring out what I am going to have is
Jenn:
Cindy: Have a good day at the office....I don't want to go! Waaaah! Toyed with the idea of being sick but need to get to work today....
Hugs to all....catch up with you later!

When I did WW years ago I would make up my menu for the whole week every Sun. evening. We were alot poorer then and it helped to know exactly what I was going to eat and when. We also didn't eat out as much either, which helped with the planning. That was back in the days of exchanges and I was almost OCD with it. I can remember more than once forgetting to eat my fat exchanges and getting out of bed and swallowing a tablespoon of butter just so my day would be correct. But hey, it worked, so I guess it wasn't a bad thing. I wish I was that organized and devoted today to make up a whole week's worth of meals. Instead I just fly by the seat of my pants most days now.

Jenn, Plead the 5th!!!

speaking of snacks, I discovered the fiber1 bars, OMG they are heavenly and only 1 pt thanks to the fiber. I love them.

good morning my WW friends.
I see everyone is up and about and having a great morning so far.
Looks like I will miss the gym again today. but I will try to do a few exersices are home... and at least do something. sigh. DH said we need to do an oil change on the van first.. it is over due.. He could not do it yesterday, and tomorrow night we have a meeting.. so it would be tonight.. or thursday.. may as well get it out of the way today.

I going to look at the weight watcher bootcamp site for a breakfast menu... something different than oatmeal.. I am getting tired of it.

Good Morning Ladies!

It's going to be 75 here today! Should melt the last of the snow.

Good to see you Marie!

Rebecca - hope you and your birdie are feeling better soon.

Joanne - good job on the advance planning.

Lise - your salmon sounded good. I haven't made it in a while. I have been eating smoked salmon though...mmmmm

Hi Monika!

Sandy - you crack me up - getting out of bed to eat butter!

Illy - who makes the Fiber1 bars?

Hey Minky, Jenn, Cin, Berta, Lou and all the rest of my WW peeps! I'm just plugging along, trying to get more active as the weather is getting nicer. I haven't been doing the best on CORE but really want to stick with it. The hardest part is definitely leaving food on my plate when I am full, but I was finding that with FLEX, even if I was stuffed (from say a huge salad) but I still had 3 points left, I would eat my planned snack of yogurt & raspberries, or whatever it was that I had planned for the day. I really want to get away from that, listen to my hunger and eat accordingly. This morning I was eating some oatmeal with banana and cottage cheese. I got about halfway done and was satisfied, so the rest went in the garbage. I did experience some separation anxiety, though

So that's where I am. I just bought a new Sedu flat iron and have been wearing my hair straight . I've always had curly hair, really nice big soft curls, but ever since my hair grew back, it just hasn't been very curly, so instead of pining away for my curly hair, I'm trying something different. I've gotten tons of compliments so I guess it looks good!

Ok, off to get some work done. Bunches of & for my wonderful friends here.

Mel - I had the same thing happen yesterday. DD19 and I went to lunch and I had gotten a hot veggie sub on whole wheat. Usually I would eat the whole thing, but got a knife and cut it in half; ate half and then realized I had had enough and was satisfied. Took the other half home!!!! YAY US!!!!

Also - I would LOVE to get a really GOOD flat iron!!! I have heard there is no comparison between those and the ones that you buy at places like Walmart....like the one I have!

Yes, with the exchanges you HAD to plan everything out. It was crazy strict. Otherwise, at the end of the day you'd be looking at 2 milks, 4 veggies, a fruit and a fat. Try to combine that into something for dinner. It was a plan that worked though. I still have the recipe for Pumpkin Muffins O'Plenty. They have everything but the kitchen sunk in them and have I think an exchange of everything. They were one of my favorite WW foods back then. Remember what a thrill it was at week two to be able to add bread? And then I think at week three you could add pasta? I also believe it was week two that added wine and beer.....I still have those books. And I think they still list the "exchanges " on WW product labels. LOL - I used to say tequila was a vegetable exchange. You know, because it's made from the cactus, which is a plant, which naturally qualifies as a vegetable. Add some margarita mix (a fruit exchange) and enjoy a perfectly on-plan beverage.

More drama at work.......why is it MY job to make sure the server is up and running? Right now it's making a huge awful sound and nobody can print. The bummer is, I'm sitting here in my PJ's, the wind is blowing really hard (my hair), and I have no desire to actually GET DRESSED and brave the wind to fix stupid computer problems.

Lou

Portion control is the hardest thing on Core, but I'm determined to listen to my hunger and when I'm done, I'm done! Good job on eating just half the sandwich!

I heard the same about flat irons, so I bit the bullet, did some research and got a really good one, for $118 . It has tourmaline ceramic plates and I really do like it. I ordered it from a site that does not charge shipping, so that was a plus. A girl's gotta have nice hair!

Mel, I have curly hair too. I used to blow dry it but gave up, now I just wash and wear I ironed it once and loved it but I wash my hair everyday and its too much work, so I would only do it if I am on vacation or on a weekend.

By the way the fiber1 bars I think its made by the same people that make the cereal. I read about them on the WW site, they are soooooo good and since they have a lot of fiber are lower in points.

Adam, my blue crowned conure (parrot) broke his toe a while back. It didn't mend quite right, it looked okay for a while, but I noticed last week that it didn't. I made him a vet appt for Wednesday at 10:15, it looks like a bulb on then end of his toe next to his nail. I think he'll lose that part of his toe, I look for him to have surgery. I'm praying that he doesn't suggest putting him down due to his age. He's the one that had the 2 mini strokes in January, but he hasn't had any more since, unless he's had them while I was at work and I didn't know about it. I will have him 20 years on May 16, he was wildcaught when they use to import birds. Now they don't do that much any more. Even though he's up in years (the vet thought that he was 2-3 when I got him) I think he's worth saving. The vet I'm taking him to has changed vet offices, this one is a little further, not much, but if it turns into a surgery, he's the only one that I would trust my little guy with. There's a closer vet that I take him to when he needs his beak, nails and wings trimmed but I would only trust something serious with Dr. Brown. Adam would love some prayers if any one has any extra to send to a little bird in need. (actually, he's not little, kind of like a small crow size.)

Good afternoon....

Sneaking in from work....I'm now up to date with the data entry....just need to keep current and all will be good......

Mel and Cindy...yes I'm also having portion control issues...that's the main reason I'm toying with the idea of switching back to flex....for instance for lunch I had homemade coleslaw and a salmon fillet...I am literally stuffed right now...I know that I should have stopped but I can't stand waste...and really...on flex it was only 4 pts....maybe 5 so not overboard...just not according to the program...Mel..you made me laugh with the separation anxiety thing....that was my food and I was gonna eat it darn it all.......I really need to change my thinking and hopefully sticking with core will do that for me...

Monika....make sure to share any new meal ideas you find and like...I always have either a shake, oatmeal or muffets....no variety....but luckily I them all....breakfast is my favourite meal...

Kate has swimming lessons tonight and W may be working late....if that's the case I'm going to buy the kids subs and take it easy tonight....I also want to submit our taxes...need to get the wheels moving to get those cheques coming......

Ok friends..I started this post almost an hour ago and I've lost my train of thought...back to the grindstone... all around.....I'm so sorry I haven't been very personal lately...hopefully once my manager gets back from vacation things will settle down...we seem to have a couple of new drivers who are working out and that frees some of my time...newbies have to be led by the hand...
