Happy Snowy Friday! Yep, Yep...the ground is Lovin' It!

Half of my kids spent the night here last night and got off to South Dakota where my DS's GF's parents are. Early celebration of her birthday. I hate for them to have to travel in bad weather but since Monday is a Holiday, it is a nice long weekend for them to be gone.

By the way Patty....my DS Loved your Meatloaf Muffins...I just had some in a bag in the frig and he found them. Had to try one and wants the recipe! He's the cook in their family. I also hope your little Miss Em is feeling better today. My daughter was always getting sick when she was a wee one. I used to worry about it but she's almost 21 now and still if anyone is going to come down with something it will be her...she and we are just used to it now. She's fine... for both you and Emma.

Cindy...I'm going to have to go back and find that oatmeal bar recipe of yours. 1 point a piece sounds great. I am such a "snacky" person that having those kind of things around really helps me. Thanks.

Cheryl...Your salad does sound yummy! French fried onion rings, dried cranberries, raspberry chipotle pepper sauce...oh my....you can make my salads any day!

Hugs and hellos to everyone else...I need to get a bit done around here and will be back later....

good morning my WW friends.. and TGIF to you all.
Just weight myself and I was down 1.5lbs
Very very happy with that result.. I am back to where I was a year ago! LOL!
and almost the lowest I have ever been in years.
So... I am hopping that this 1lb a week goal will do the trick for me and I can stay focust on that and the CORE plan.
Went out for Dinner yesterday with my friends I did excactly what I said it would.. I had a glass of water and the sampler plate with just the meat.. and I brought 1/2 of that home. YEAH!!!!
I did have a cup off coffee there, after the meal. and at home I had a Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom Supreme Icecream bar.. Rasberry Cheese cake.. made with Splenda and oh so yummy!3pts!

did not make it to the gym yesterday, but I walked a lot.. to the Healthfood store.. while I was waiting for them to fix the van, and than when I got home we walked the dogs. So I was happy with that for exersice.
Don't think I will make it today.. got to much to do.. and stuff to cook for our pot luck dinner tonight. I am making green chili soup with chicken and the crockpot apple crispy thing.

Going to check you you all personals real quick

Set my chair up in the office like this and will stay on the ibuprofen today and hopefully will feel better......between my back and my feet, I feel like a little old granny today!

What's up for the weekend girls???? Not sure at our house - would like to watch some football too.....I am torn between the Seahawks and the Bears though - Bears are in our division, but Mike Holmgren coached the Packers and still have an alliance to him too!

to ALL!
to you and your sore body! Hop eyou feel better soon - its OK about the football I will love you just the same! My is just always in Chicago I guess...

Yummy stuff there and a great plan! We are expecting the yucky weather all weekend - snow, rain, ice..though can't complain (knocking wood)

And then I think I always just hung out with the men in the family as I got older...hockey (my Dad had tickets through work and we would go and take my Mom and she would bring her crocheting ) football, lots of basketball with my EX (though not much since) and baseball...though I will say, sometimes I will just sit in the same room but read etc...My SIL used to say she thought it was because I just wanted to hang out with my Dad and maybe that is how it started...I miss my Dad - he will be gone 30 yrs in May

Oh that is so great - I actually found a similar one on the bootcamp site using that dreaded ground turkey breast (thinking of Lou ) and teriyaki seasoning!

I miss mine too, Patty.....

Having my breakfast....1/4 avocado on 2 slices of toast = 3 points
Lunch will be a veggie burger w/cheese on lite bun = 3 points
Snacks = fruit
Dinner....OutBack Steak House!! I will probably stick with a fish of some sort. I love fish but hate to cook it...it never turns out as good for me for some reason. So I am craving halibut here. I think I will go check out their website and have a plan before I go.

Thank God it's Food Friday!

Well, I just printed up the meatloaf muffins, Fish stew and oatmeal muffin recipes. I'm looking forward to trying all these new things this week!

You know what I wish? I wish we had a place where we could have a thread to post all these great recipes. I took a peek over at the recipe board and we just don't fit in there. Being as this IS a low carb board, it wouldn't be fair for us to start posting non-low carb recipes on the BB - you know newbies...they'd see them and start jumping for joy that fruit and graham crackers became low carb.

Jenn - don't take me seriously about the more expensive the bathing suit the better it will fit. Someone once told me that - and the catalogs that always seem to guarantee a great fit also charge an arm and a leg for a little piece if stretchy (and the stretchier the better) fabric with a crotch and a bra built into it. I guess in my experience that has been the case, but that's because I need special iron reinforcements built into it to keep the girls in place - that costs, you know.

Gotta run,, ANOTHER busy day.....

Lou

I totally agree with you. I was raised in a very female dominant family, it was just me, mom & my sister from the time I was 3. I don't think my dad was into football, his sport was golf. So if he had lived I guess I'd be totally into golf Rebecca was raised with brothers - she loves to watch sports, especially boxing and always wants to wrestle or box with me (no thanks!).

Hey Cheryl! I forgot to ask you, where did you live in Sicily?? I Sicily, my mom's family is from Palermo. I've spent time in Palermo, Syracuse, and Taormina. I just Taormina.

WW recipe thread

I like Lou's idea of a place to keep recipes at our fingertips...

I started a thread over in the other plans section asking people keep it for recipes only....I have invited them all over here to chat......I hope it stays clean....

To have easy access just go and visit....and hopefully leave a recipe...if you don't leave a recipe just click on thread tools and subscribe...this way you will always be able to find it from your control panel....

I hope this works....let the recipe gathering begin

Well, from Dottie's site it says:

Junior Hamburger (2 oz patty, ketsup, mustard, dill pickles, onion, bun)=6 points

Classic Single Plain (1/4 lb patty, bun) = 8.5
So you could have them put whatever veggies on it with mustard and it wouldn't up the points any

Hope this helps...if there is something specific that you want, let me know....

Wanted to ask if ya'll have tons of snow still. We have a major Ice storm with snow on the back in coming in this weekend. Kinda hopin' we are snowed in at the house. 11 degrees for tomorrow with wind chill of 40 below. at least that's what they're saying today. I'm sure it will change.

You are welcome!! I know what you mean about wanting a burger!!

And yes, we still have lots of leftover snow and then it snowed last night...not alot though....just an inch or two. It is the COLD that is coming with this storm that is it's signature. It was 1 degree when we got up this morning and has now risen to 10. Brrrr.....

Oh and thanks Lise for starting a recipe thread for us. We don't need doubles of recipes so just let me know if there is any of them that you want me to personally add in so it's not just up to a couple of people.

And Cindy...I am trying your Oatmeal Bars now. They are in the "soaking" stage. I used the Chai DaVinci syrup....cuz I have a bunch of bottles of the stuff. I will let you know how it turns out.

Thanks Lise! I couldn't think of a place for it - that's perfect. I know I've seen so many great recipes on this thread and think after a couple weeks how much I'd like to try something, only not able to find the recipe because we're such a gabby bunch.

THANKS! Now, let's start adding recipes!
