I am thinking of doing only liquids. Whenever i get around food i can't seem to help myself. TOnight i had a big salad. I have bought shakes by EAS, Zonic, and Adkins. They are all low carb and don't have that many calories. I like to freeze them and eat them like a treat.
I am going to the gym in the AM. My plan is to do 60 min on stair climber(with ankle weights), 30 min on ski machine, 30 min walk, light weights. I have to get up and be at the gym by 5am, then have to get home by 8 to get ready for work. I have to stop binging in the middle of the night, it is killing me. I am still at 115 pounds and i am so bloated. I feel like an elephant. I have been listening to Joyce Meyer, whom i greatly admire. she is my role model. She has a tape out about the 12 reasons why we overeat. When i think i am hungry , i am going to tell myself "SO" i am always hungry what else is new. and drink something. I also have fiber pills that should help with the full feeling and the constipation.

HI Everyone...wow so many fasters!!!! I have been lurking for a bit and everyone seems to be doing so great. It such a nice thread, such nice ppl
![]() well after a while not fasting I am back for another fast. Starting on Monday with a juice fast. In the last month I have found that i have an intolerance to gluten, a lactose intolerance, some liver damage, feeling pretty shoddy and a massive coldsore has just appeared . So I want to spend a few days fasting and get my weight down and start with my body rid of all ickies it is having to deal with. (well some of them anyway). So anyway I'll be back soon for the start of my fast.moby xoxox

Hi Moby, sorry about all your bad news this month, but I'm sure fasting will help you feel better. I got through Day 1!
And it was so hard! I feel much better having gotten through it this morning and I know I can do another day. My weight was 179 this morning and I want my profile weight back! |

Happy to report I was 295 yesterday morning and this morning 292
!! That -3 overnight! As for as the fasting goes, I’m amazingly OK. Not hungry at all. last night I was getting rumbles so I drank water and they subsided. I hope day 2 goes off just as easily. |

Hey everyone. Just checking in. Well since my fast ended on Monday, I have gained 2.5lbs back. I'm actually VERY ok w/ that because I was scared I would gain the whole 13lbs back. So I look at it as I have an 11.5lb loss.
Think I will fast for 2-3 days this time starting on tomorrow. Not sure if I will go strictly water or if I want to do liquids and add the occasional Diet 7up. |

Good morning all! I stayed the same this morning, at 239 and that's ok by me, just don't want to see the "40's" again! I made it thru my 2nd day of liquid fasting yesterday and I think I'm going to go with a partial fast for today. Can't figure out why I'm still SO hungry and that is making it tougher. If I could just lose the hunger pangs I know I could make it longer!
Wishing everyone luck and also, welcome to all the newbies! ![]() |

Day 1
The notes of a freshman in here:
I’ve started perfectly (guess anyone can) having water with some squeezed lemon in; but around 11am I was sleepy, angry and irritated – so there I had my first cup of coffee (broke the rule of water fast, but remain on a liquid diet). The second cup of coffee and skim milk came in the late afternoon as well a couple of bottles of diet coke. So the cleansing purposes of this diet aren’t being fulfilled but the weight loss ones – are. In conclusion – I’m happy and proud of my day one. One notice: I fell better then when I am on induction – no headache and lots of energy . And Girls, You rock! Day 1 - 141

Note from a senior
![]() Once I start giving myself permission to have 'other' liquids, it's all over for me and I start the downward spiral. I get grumpy and irritable but I do the water fast for detoxing and am able to keep the benefits above the emotions. For me, weightloss is the bonus. Day 1 and 2 are tough. Pass those and it's fairly simple. Keep giving permission to have other liquids and you'll keep wanting other liquids. Think of it as low-carbing but MORE brutal. That one taste of 'sugar' leads to craving more. You are all doing very well with your liquid fasts!

Just checking in too......
Day 1 going well very tierd, and head ache........ but I know what to expect. Faith........ since you have only had 2 days of water fasting under your belt, being hungry still is to be expected... most people dont lose that hunger feeling until day 3... for me it is day 4... Of course it takes me longer than most to get into ketosis too.. when doing regular low carb or meat and egg........ go figure......... I never have experienced completely no hunger doing m/e but definitely have water fasting on day 4....... Well still hanging in........ water only....... I agree with phoebe......... when I allow myself to have broth or diet soda after doing only water........ that wakes my hunger up big time... and I too spiral downward....... its like I want more to eat then not just liquids.... so I would just keep that in mind too...... have a good one everyone........

Day 3 going great!
Water only!Quote:
), I would gradually lose desire for flavor so by the 2nd or 3rd day I was on water only. Kinda like ketosis I guess, takes a day or two to lose appetite. I never did broth or fruity drinks though. I can see where those could start a hunger thing. phibi -- how many fasts have you done? I was around when you did your 24-day and your first Master Cleanse but following the thread usually corresponded with me psyching myself up to do my own fasts so I wasn't around consistently. |

I am on Day 3 and trying to rationalize how having Buffalo Wild Wings tonight for dinner would work into the plan.
We had an ice cream social at work today. I skipped it, but I still went to help scoop it and socialize. Ice cream isn't my thing much anyway, so it was no big deal. Besides, I will rarelly eat anything but sugar-free or the no sugar added kinds. Why eat all that sugar? ![]() |

I think I did well enough today. I kept with liquids more than solids so I stuck it out with my 'partial fast' plan.
Thanks Gavinsmom--I just thought after having done Stillman's for a couple of months, then QOD with K/E that would've broke the hunger by now; then again I did just read something that noted when you don't fast everyday that hunger may never completely go away. At any rate, with this liquid fasting thing, still trying to figure out whether or not it agrees with me! P.S.--Congrats on making it thru day 1. You can do this!walkingwoman--I've been doing QOD for a week, or the concept of it atleast IMO the info on the link on post #1 is sort of confusing (to me). The number of cals on the ON days are way more than I eat and the minimum sodium count of OFF days are enormous and still allows 300 cals. I complete Liquid Fast every other day along with K/E (Kimmers Experiment). As far as how I like it, I lost 12 lbs in 7 days so it seems to be working for me. The hunger is just getting to me.Hoops--proud of you for avoiding that ice cream today! Also I bought a box of hot wings at the store today and planned to have them but talked myself out of it because I so want to see those numbers keep going down. Even on "off" day (still confused by which is off, which is on) I try to really watch the cals. |

Hi,
Thank you phibi, I truly respect and admire your notes. I got up so dizzy today... and my first thought was food. But my scale showed that I’ve lost two pounds – so I’ve decided to commit. Quote:
Here in france such kefir fasts are quite popular: 1.5 liter of plain kefir a day plus herbal teas and a cup/two cups of coffee. Its about 500 cal and 60 carbs. Once I did it for 5 days – lost 6 pounds. Takes guts to commit but if you can do water – kefir is a pleasure. Day 1 - 141 Day 2 - 138.8 |

Thanks Faith. I thought the calories were high on the On days for me too and the Off days seem totally doable since I have done liquid fasting in the past with no problem. I truly believe it is mind over matter. I can do a great job entertaining foods in my head with absolutely no hunger whatsoever
I just have to reel myself in sometimes. |

Day 3
Hello! I'm on day 3 and feel ok as of this morning. However last night, I went to bed at 10pm because I didn’t want to be tempted to go in the kitchen. Well, as I laid there I felt queasy
and very uneasy. So I took it as maybe I need more water, so I sipped some. Well I went to the bathroom just in case (but in my head I thought what can I possibly throw-up? Water? My vitamin?) That urge to vomit was getting more pronounced. I’m a person that hates to throw up; I can’t stand it so I try at all cost not to. Well as soon as I closed that door, it all came out, and violently I may add. It was clear then it got a pale yellow. So my question is was that normal?? Has anyone else thrown up water from a fast?? I’m speculating that I may have thrown up extra acid or stuff that was in my tummy? I dunno just speculating. Advice from veteran faster highly appreciated!!

I have been thinking this issue as when I'm at my home M-F I can control myself. Well initially I was going to continue on K/E (low-fat version of M/E fast), but I didn’t want the first thing in my tummy to be meat or eggs, so I will wean into Kimkins then continue K/E. I don’t think I personally will overdo on food since my stomach is so used to being empty 2oz a chicken my feel like a lot. Then from then on continue my K/E regimen. Water fasting enabled me to control myself, I’m learning control so I hopefully will apply this control when I start eating again. Hopefully..

Hey ladies. Just wanted to report for those that asked....that I WON the weightloss challenge at work. I had lost a total of 26lbs since May. I did gain 3 lbs back after the water fast last week but still doing well and i believe it has to do w/ TOM as well as I am PMS'ing bad. Which brings me to my question....how do you ladies handle PMS and TOM while fasting. I was going to do a 3 day fast but am cramping pretty bad already so I know TOM will be here by the weekend. Any suggestions?
