Day 1 over
Faith~ Thank you! Luke~ Exercise is to be avoided during a fast. Many of us exercise anyway, although the energy is not there past about 5 days for me. Dina~ My family is supportive. They don't give me a hard time and know I've researched it a lot even if they don't want to do it themselves. Are you getting support from your family? Also, I don't worry about too much or too little fluids. Today, I didn't drink or eat a thing. Slim~ So, what happened with the weigh-in? lcmommy~ We are suppose to just let the body take care of itself. So, no need for enemas or the such unless you really want one. I started today, too. Erica~ On my 18 or 19 day fast this previous summer, all I did was Callanetics! I have the quickies, so I'd do 20 minutes at a time. Takeelah~ Hang in there. ![]()

Day 2 of 14
Good morning fasters! I dreamed that I broke down and ate lol.
Dina -- how did ya do? Did you make it thru day 1? Takeelah -- sometimes it takes a few false starts before it sticks. Good luck today! Hoops -- thanks for the info about BMs. I guess I'll leave things be and try not to think about it. I'm feeling great. It should be easier today. Day 1: 140 Day 2: 138 (-2) Good luck everyone! ![]() |

Morning ladies! Every one of you are doing so wonderful and I'm so proud to be a part of such an inspiring group!
![]() Yeah I'm in a super good mood this morning! I'm down another 3 lbs and have entered into a new "decade"! Down 12 lbs in 7 days! OK, Sunday (my fast day) didn't go exactly as planned. It went from "partial fast" to eating and I ATE! Granted, it was all legal stuff but that old binge habit started rearing its ugly head and I kept going even after I was beyond full! So I was too chicken to weigh in yesterday but stuck to my guns and kept with my fast yesterday and...it paid off! Anyhow I'm so pumped I'm going for another day. Really nervous but excited to prove to myself I can make it 2 days straight without food and not be climbing the walls by the end of the day. Yesterday for the first time in a while I added in coffee (w/cream) so I'll be doing that plus I'll have some chicken broth and my usual CL, water, and DS. |

Good morning wonderful ladies!
I'm happy to report that I survived day 1. Mind you, I went to bed at 8pm, but still! I feel great today and not the least bit hungry. We'll see how the day goes.... I have not told my husband that I am doing this because I know he will not see this as a positive thing to do. He is super supportive in every aspect of my life but I am not sure how he would react to something like thing....which is ironic because in my religion fasting is very normal. |

Hello Beautiful,
I truly admire you all. You’re doing so well and I’d like to join you, please? I’m doing LC well, but I really need to clean myself up. I’m so tied of meat and eggs and cheese ... want something fresh. So I’m thinking about doing 10 day water + fresh lemon fast, but actually aiming at 3 (cause it’s my first fast ever). May I rely on your support? |

Bonjour Greta!
This is a great support group... A 10 day fast sounds amazing, but like you said aim small and then take it from there. If you get to 3 days and still feel strong then go for the 10! |

Day 1
I'm going through Day 1, I felt really hungry and water wasn’t cutting it. I don’t drink coffee or hot tea so I bought a diet Snapple diet 0 cal 0 carbs is this acceptable? If it then this did do the trick as I don’t feel hungry and can drink my water easier.

Bonjour Girls,
and thank you for a REALLY NICE WELCOME. Well I’m skipping my dinner (it’s already 7pm in here) tonight so my start is tomorrow. I’m kind of exciting about that ... Hope you’re all doing fine. |

Erica, i think you made a good choice. If it is 0 Cals and calories then it's fine. Like LCmommy said, many people drink diet soda's...i don't because it makes me retain water and feel bloated. I drink coffee with cream which has some calories but nothing is worth giving that up for.
![]() and yes, day 1 is by far the hardest. I am sailing thru today. I am just confused on what I should do about going out for dinner tonight. |

Well it's 12:55pm here in NYC. Day 1 for me. So far, so good. Not even a rumbly tummy. My last meal was yesterday's lunch. Prior to my fast I was doing K/E. I wish you luck & success. I think Day 1 is the hardest hurdle. |

Ok. The question to the 0 calorie drinks and coffee is WHY are you doing the water fast?
It's NOT a water fast if one is drinking things OTHER than water. Hence WATER fast. If one is doing it to detox then NOTHING besides water should be taken in since one doesn't want to pollute the body with artificial ingredients (toxic for the body) and caffeine (toxic and artificial stimulant) while the body is trying to clean out. (The only exception ever noted for a water fast is herbal tea.) If one is doing the fast for QUICK weight loss, then they may drink any 0 calorie drinks.

Good point Phibi. I guess it's just easier writing water fast than coffee-and-0-calorie-drink fast.
As I stated in my first post, I wean down to water only over a couple of days, so by tomorrow I should be on an honest-to-goodness water fast. I'm doing this for weightloss. Detox is the bonus. |

Looks like a lot of us are doing diet drinks. I'm only using the MC drink when I have to go to work. I can't be hungry or lightheaded during work at all. I'm so bad with water. I do drink diet soda most days also. Probably not the healthiest but hey hey hey Im gonna get skinny one day LOL. JK
Last night I took a colon cleanser pill. Today my tummy is still a bit bubbly! I think I kinda needed it. I don't think I will take anymore I'm leaving Friday AM for a business trip. Proabably will do a light dinner. I have a coworker (who loves to eat) coming out to Vegas with me. Makeup ![]() |

Hey guys! I hope you're all doing well! And welcome to all the newcomers! Ok, so far so good. Just coffee w/ cream and water today. I am home from work now so now the hard part starts. I am drinking a Fuze for dinner and will probably treat myself to some senna tea in a bit.
I am not going to eat anything. I can do this. |

Day 2~ Water Fast
I am not hungry in the least. I've drank a couple swallows of water today and none yesterday. I don't force water down, just drink it if I am thirsty. I am tired today. It may be stress from the last week of school (the vast majority of students are acting horrible in the cafeteria and classrooms this week). ![]() lcmommy~ Isn't it funny how we dream that we ate and ruined our fast? I have similar dreams, too.Nady~ I am sure you'll look great in your blue swimsuit in no time. I went swimming this past weekend and wore an old suit. I am just not up to swimsuit shopping yet. ![]() Faith~ You are doing great with your weight loss. ![]() Dina~ You said your husband is supportive, so he'll probably be supportive of a detox. However, you said you're doing this just for weight loss, so that argument may not work. In that case, you could choose a salad for dinner and get back to fast tomorrow. ![]() Greta~ We're all here to support one another. Definitely join us!Erika~ You were correct, fasting is strictly water. If you want to detox and retain the most muscle during the fast, then sticking to water only is best. Some people are doing a liquid fast, allowing broth, coffee, or diet drinks, geared for weight loss. Regardless, you're doing great. Day 1 is very tough! |
