I just started doing Callanetics regularly this week... I did quick callanetics about 2-3 times last week..... I'm starting to get serious!!!!

I dunno how to help you to remember to take it... I keep mine at my desk and I have a pill box in my purse in case I'm not home at the time I need to take it.

Wish I could help more.

Maybe you all have had it but maybe not, so I'll share.

Ok, take thin sliced or shaved ham or roast beef (deli style) and spread cream cheese over it. Then wrap it around a pickle spear. soooooo good. I used 2 slices of roast beef instead of. Does anyone else eat this or am I Mrs. Original? lol, gotta try it.

Hey everyone!! I finally found the thread. I was looking all around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to find this thread. Tuesday made a week since I started, and I'm finally getting used to the taste. I'm going to place a order for 2 more bottles.

I'm also going to order the callanetics.

Trisha - I'll add the Phase 2 to my next order. I've never tried anything like that but it would be nice to have on hand when I know I'm going off plan.

Ya'll help me out here: I'm trying to get my brain around how much to take. Currently I am taking 3 - 1000 mg cla (=3000/day) and 6 Evening Primrose, serving size = 3 and a serving = 135 mg (=270 mg/day).

Now if I read Gina's chart right for cla, for 200# I should have 8 caps per day at 1400 mg. That's 11,200 - or almost 4 times what I'm taking????????? That seems like a lot. I'm wondering if the "1400" is a serving size of 2.

I've been really pleased with the results at the level I'm taking but wonder if I upped it I'd see even more? On the other hand, I don't want to over take it and waste it. Know what I mean?

The Little Black Dress is the way to go girls!

A few years ago when I did LC the first time and I had no bumps or lumps, I bought one that I poured into. It was perfect. I unveiled it at an office party. hehe Considering I am extremely conservative at the workplace, it was a shocker. I am SOOOOOOO looking forward to having that day arrive again. Won't be here for this New Year's Eve, but next year baby!!!!

No you're not the only one. LOL. I've been eating that for years. Ham, turkey, roast beef. All good with that pickle and cream cheese. I had it the first time at a shower many years ago -- they made the logs and then cut them into little circles for an appetizer. Looks pretty and is yummy!

Today is weigh and measure day. I'm down 4 lbs this week. Woohoo. I am on M/E and this is my best week yet but I ate very little. Still not exercising due to congestion and just have very little appetite from not doing much physical activity. I am only down another .5" in my lower abs - waist is the same. I still look super flabby and jiggly in the midsection compared to all of you. I can't even imagine taking a picture! I don't even want to look myself. Unfortunately, even when I got to within 5lbs of my goal weight last year, I still had a yucky, jiggly belly. I also have the lovely stretch marks from 2 pregnancies. I had 2 c-sections and I have this yucky jiggly pouch. I would love to have a tummy tuck one day but it's probably not in my future. I hope down the road when I lose a lot more weight, maybe the CLA/GLA will help make it less gross but I can't expect miracles. LOL

Maybe one day, I'll actually DO the callanetics workout instead of just watching it. LOL. Oh also, has anyone else here had C-sections? I find that when I do certain exercises, my scars hurt almost like they're fresh again. It's kind of creepy and my son is 4 now so don't know what's up with that. Just wondering if anyone else experiences it.

Hope everyone has a good day. It's icy up here and schools are closed today. The kids are already bored and it's 9am.

OK this sounds like it would be me. This is why I watch it like it's a movie. I still can't work up the courage to DO it!

I have ordered the callanetics..hope I can do it. Although for the price..I WILL do it..

Today the scale was up .5 a pound...I weigh every day so know the ups and downs of the scale. Although from taking the combo I feel thinner...doesn't make sense. I measured on Wednesday so I guess next Wednesday will be the test.

More Christmas shopping today..hopefully finish. Also meeting a friend at Olive Garden for lunch...I HAVE to make a good decision!!

Abby... I think that the 1400mg is for the dose (2 pills) I hope so anyway!!!

Alismom - Don't worry too much... I have found that when I have a big desrease in pounds then the inches aren't so big and if I have a big decrease in inches then the pounds aren't moving...

At least TRY the Callanetics... she stresses through the whole tape that you should work at your own pace.

Carla... do a search on here for "Olive Garden". I have seen the question "What can I eat at Olive Garden?" alot!!! There were lots of great suggestions.

I feel very lazy right now because I haven't exercised. I will try it soon, I promise. The one thing that "scares" me about it is that I feel like she's always putting everyone in the right (or better) position and I'm afraid I'll be doing them all wrong. It just seems very hard. I tried a few and I felt dicombobulated.

Caly, we eat those too but without the pickle inside it. you can use any kind of meat and philly cheese for the roll ups. I take them to work sometimes since the are such easy finger foods.

Chevy, welcome back. If you go to user control panel and scroll down it shows all the threads you are subscribed to . Glad your sticking with the combo. Have you measured yet?

Abby, standard dose is 3500mg of Cla a day. But if your having results, stay like you are. You will get back into that slinky dress soon. Hang in there

Alismom, its alot harder than it look huh lol

Heatha, we keep our combo on the kitchen island. As soon as I get up, I go take it. Its a habit now. Yep, I am definately waiting awhile before I try it again or may just skip that part lol

Janie , Its never made me sleepy. LC drains my energy and this combo is actuallt helping me with that. Not sure whats going on with you.

Michelle, thanks for the backup on a certain thread are your toes crispy yet? lol

Carla, cant wait to see your progress pics in January. I added you on Yahoo. Cant wait to chat with you there too

Just wanted to know if anyone experiences or experienced loose bowels due to taking CLA. I've been taking it for a week now. Need to measure this weekend and see if any differences.

I think I did ok at Olive Garden..had some salad w/o croutons and chicken marsala with steamed vegetables.

I then went christmas shopping. I have one more gift certificate to get then I am DONE....

Woke up this morning with a slight sore throat and now I can hardly swallow...making some green tea. I hope I don't get sick or tonsillitis again, that was the worst. I almost was in the hospital with that.

Trisha...I got you on my messenger...

Anyone else in our cla/gla combo family who would like to chat via yahoo IM can reach me by my name of carla_mn70 on there.

Oh my water is hot now..gotta get my tea

ok so I cheated a little today. But i don't really feel bad about it because i think that you have to treat yourself a little every once in a while. I was at a christmas luncheon and my commander made sweet potatoe casserole just for me because I told him i had never had it. So how was i supposed to turn that down. I just ate a little bit and also a cupcake. It's going to be my only slip of the season but i felt that I should be held accountable. Sorry, hope i didn't disappoint anyone.

I know you guys are wonderful and I am so glad to count you as my friends here. Last week DH had a biopsy and we got the results today. He has a very treatable and curable form of cancer. He'll start chemo next week. It's going to be a tough time for the next couple of months as we get through the worst of this. We appreciate your friendship and prayers.

Carla, Looking forward to chatting with you there too. We drink Gunpowder green tea, its very good.

Caly, I love you new av pic, your so pretty . I agree with you. If I stuck strictly to plan, I would fail. I need to have a cheat day every now and then and get right back on it. You didn't disappoint me one bit, especially since your going back on plan. Everytime I do a planned cheat, I end up losing a couple pounds over the next couple days. I think it reactivates the combo or something lol.

Chevy, dont be nervous. I bet you will be very pleased with the results. I am so glad your sticking with it

Abby , Big to you. My thoughts and 's are with you and your family too thru this difficult time. Remember we are here for you whenever you need a shoulder

Hi CLAers! Just a little update. I now started taking my combo in the AM! Thanks again everyone for your suggestions and advice. Remember I was SO hungry in the evenings after taking it....not anymore. As you guys said last week...it's curbed my appetite. It's very odd....lol

I found if I mix it with my SF soy milk and some davinci's cookie dough, I don't mind the mixture at all. It's actually quite tasty!
