I couldnt wait to get out of those panty hose !!! I think men invented them as a form of torture device
Well 15 years is very impressive. I guess having little kids in school doesn't help me with germs. My son seems to get something every few weeks.

YES men must have invented panty hose AND high heels! I guess we're lucky being tall, we don't have to do the heels if we don't want.

I think it was because I ate so much junk food, not even a germ could survive in my body back then

Oh i cant wear heels anymore. The shoes I found we low heels and not the spiky kind. I'll take a pic of them and post it tomorrow. They went with the dress perfectly. They have little diamonds across the top of the foot straps

wonder if they make a steel toe dress shoe

Have to let my truck warm up so had time to take this pic

Michelle - the new haircut is FABULOUS! Wow! This is meant as I compliment because I think she is absolutely beautiful, I think you look like the actress Meg Tilly. What a great change of pace for you with the straighten look.

LOL... Thanks y'all.. I think I like it too. It was just a big change.

The sculpting gel that I was talking about is here http://www.netrition.com/pbl_sculpting_gel_page.html

I asked a few days ago if anyone had ever used it.... cause I wanna try it but it's expensive.... but nobody responded.

From what I read... you rub it on your problem area and you need to workout then.... I dunno about it putting fat back on....
Any way... you are supposed to only choose one area at a time to get rid of using this stuff. I wish I knew if it works!!!!

[quote=kycowgirl]Good Afternoon everyone

Tom, you silly goose !!! I love you no matter what you look like, and you always looked good to me and always will . LOL you better clarify that statement bucko , sounds like I was harping on you to lose weight. (for the record, Tommy was unhappy with Tommy, Trish thought his chipmonk cheeks were cute LOL) But I have to say, I do think 185 would look too scrawny. What do you think girls? Did he need to lose that much, or is he just right now?

baby.. I never ment to imply it was you...it was always me, I was looking for a number.. its kind of like you not seeing your results, you look so gooooodddd..

Trish.... since you set youe mini goal for 10 pounds... I am too!!!! It's time for that scale to get over it!!!!!! Come on Girl, we can do this!!!! We will be there for eachother to make it happen! I vow to keep my messenger on unless I'm away.

Got my new Callanetics tapes in the mail yesterday. I'm going to check out the 10 in 10 today and I'll probably watch the legs one. I love these tapes!!!!

I didn't lose any inches at all this week but hubby was checkin me out last night!!!! He actually said "Wow, you HAVE lost weight" Then the lady at the little country store where I stop to get gas every day said, "You are getting thin!" She knew that I was doing LC and she tried it a long time ago, she wants to try it again now.

Finally, people are noticing. The scale said 147.5 again today so I am claiming it. maybe it will start moving again now that Trish and I are going to be working together.

I'd love to join you guys in losing 10 lbs by New Year's. I'm also feeling much better this morning after finally managing to lose 3 lbs in the last 2 days by doing the Fat Fast. I've decided to go back to induction for the remainder of this week, but may do the Fat Fast again next week for 2-3 days if my weight stalls again.

As for the combo, I think that I have now lost a few inches since I started a little over 2 weeks ago, so I'm just happy to see the numbers finally moving in the right direction again.

Bust: -1
Waist: -.5
Hip: -1

Also...I have noticed that my clothes are fitting much better and some outfits I haven't been able to wear in a long time are now fitting nicely, so that has definitely picked up my spirits!!

I'm definitely looking forward to doing this challenge with all of you!

Caroline

Way To Go Caroline!!!! If I have said it once I've said it a million times... the clothes are the best way to tell.

Ok, I have just finished my Callanetics... my whole body feels like a rubber band!!! I think I am going to try that Sculpting gel... looking at some research, I am impressed.

Now, my adrenaline is pumping, I'm gonna clean the house...

btw: I measured my waist again... just to see and it is down 3/4 inch... I'm going to measure all over in the morning.

I found this article about CLA and exercise...all of you that are exercising on a daily basis are correct...this stuff works and works wonders...I'm joining you very soon!

Nutrient Metabolism
The Combination of Dietary Conjugated Linoleic Acid and Treadmill Exercise Lowers Gain in Body Fat Mass and Enhances Lean Body Mass in High Fat–Fed Male Balb/C Mice1

Nearly half of the U.S. adult population is overweight or obese, which may be related to increased energy intake combined with lack of physical activity. Obesity increases the risk of several chronic diseases including diabetes, coronary heart disease, hypertension, and stroke. Conjugated linoleic acids (CLA) were shown to decrease fat and increase lean mass in several animal studies. However, the effects of CLA in combination with exercise (Ex) on body composition have not been studied in an animal model. We examined the effect of a low concentration of either safflower oil as control (0.5%) or mixed isomers of CLA (0.4%) along with treadmill exercise on body composition in male Balb/C mice fed a high-fat diet (20% corn oil) in a 2 x 2 factorial design. CLA consumption lowered change in fat mass (P < 0.001) confirming the results of other studies, and change in fat mass decreased further (P < 0.001) with CLA and exercise. Change in lean mass did not increase with exercise alone; it increased, although not significantly, with CLA alone and increased significantly (P < 0.05) due to the combination of CLA and exercise. This effect was accompanied by decreased serum leptin levels and lower leptin mRNA expression in peritoneal fat (P < 0.001). Serum insulin, glucose, tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-, and interleukin-6 were lower in CLA-fed mice than in controls (P < 0.05), whereas serum TNF- was increased by exercise (P < 0.05). Exercise increased oxygen consumption and energy expenditure when measured under resting conditions (P < 0.05). In summary, the combination of dietary CLA and exercise decreased fat mass and increased lean mass in mice fed a high-fat diet, and these effects may be related in part to decreased serum leptin and exercise-induced increases in oxygen consumption and energy expenditure.
