Good grief, this thread is moving too fast and I just KNOW that as soon as I get done writing this, Trisha would've already come along and answered all the questions before me anyway but oh well, here goes:

For those asking about WalMart supplement dosages: (Rebekah & someone else maybe?)
you need to take 5 Tonalin CLA a day
as for the 500mg Borage Oil, there's 120mg GLA in each so...
you take 4 Borage Oils a day to meet the minimum 460mg or
you take 8 Borage Oils a day to get 960mg (close to the Caly1000)

Hope that helps!

to Courtney & Pete

Congratulations go out to Trisha & Caly on their scale whooshes & to Bonnie on her inches lost!!!!!!!!

And last but not least...(Trisha, you really need to brush your teeth before stopping by sweetie ) :::: passing T some Dentyne Fire::::::

Thanks!

Val, It works best with diet and exercise, but some of the research I read said they did an experiment where people tried it with no change in diet or exercise and still lost weight. My daughter in Florida is trying it (shes allergic to diet and exercise lol) so we are doing our own experiment to see how it does. She started it a week ago and will keep me updated and I will post her results here.

Veronica, Toms been a member here for a long time and he got me to join in January. It was pretty confusing at the time so I didnt come much. Then he saw Michelles post about this combo and showed me in September so we decided to try it and I have been hooked on it and this site every since

as for how it all started...I asked Michelle once and if I remember correctly, she found out about it from another member named Paige whose handle is "shulamite" (I think)

alright - the "optimism" bug bit me and told me to re-measure and re-weight. I was going to waite until the am when I finished my 3 day H20 fast.

So - I did. Can I count my waist measurement sucking in? If so ok, I am better. If not - still at 37". What gives? I've worked my "you know what off" - and lost 30 lbs. I've given up Panera Bread's Sour Dough bread for heaven's sake - why is my waist still the same size? My 14's are big in the waist now, my 12's just fit, and my 10's are doable with a non-clingy shirt and my 8's are only able to be zipped lying down. Those are the ones I got stuck in the locker room w/ b/c I could not get them on again after being wet in a pool. What gives??? (besides the fact that yes, I have 4 sizes of jeans in my SMALL closet, probably more if I looked.) I have been taking my combo, reducing carbs to slightly over induction level, and cut back on portion sizes/fat so much that I am going hungry sometimes. I've "let go" of my diet pop obession too! Ok, enought whinning. Whats a girl to do? Can I just have a hug? (wimper )

I'd add one more cla to get the recommended dosage in (or does the flax oil have some cla in it? )

as for the borage oil...hmm...it's different for everyone...480mg seems to be sufficient for quite a few peeps here but Trisha and I get better results with 960mg and Caly has said she takes 1000mg. I don't know what to tell you about what's best for you but I will say that I didn't know I did better with the double dosage until I tried it so...

Maybe you've cut back on the fat too much. #1. It satiates you #2. The Atkins diet is meant to be a high fat diet and fat contributes to weight loss.

Sometimes that's just what we all need.

#1 dog swallowed a toothpick. Now I'm stressing over it. Web search says feed bread soaked in broth to "cushion" it on the way out and to watch for signs of dehydration and vomiting. So far so good, but furbabies are on a pedistle around here!

Oh yeah - my nerves are just about shot and I'm having a beer. Let's say I've had 1/2 of one and I'm already feeling it so probably won't get through the rest.

Elyse... the only other thing that I can think to do is maybe try to stop the Xenadrine for a little while.... I don't think there is anything in it that would stop this combo from working but maybe it's worth a try.

Someone posted a while back (I think it was Michael) that they lost their tummy from eating yogurt. I currently do a mod. yogurt fast and it seems to help my tummy and scale weight. I eat two meals yogurt and one LC during the week and all LC on weekends.

weres Michelle???
I'm here, I'm here!!!!!

P_fairchild... with the combo you are building lean muscle so no, the inches don't come back just beacuse you quit taking the supplements. You are building lean muscle and stopping the fat cells from maturing and blocking them from filling with fat.

Now, having said that.... after you quit the fat cells will begin to act normal and start storing fat again. So a healthy diet is key.
