Michelle, I agree, I think Calys success revived the group and converted some non-believers lol
Chev, glad to se you back . I cant wait to see your update picsCaly, I give a full report after each lesson. The response they had was so huge they had to reserve the whole gym are to hold them all. They are going to teach the foxtrot, rumba, cha-cha, and disco. Disco? Is that Ballroom dancing? I can see Tom now with his white suit and black sparkly shirt, gyrating his hips with his finger pointing in the air (hides camera in purse)Tina, keep us updated on your progress please ![]() CHRISTIE, The liquid costs more initially, but when you consider that you have to take several caps a day and will have to buy 2 bottles a month of the capsules compared to 1 bottle of liquid, its cheaper in the long run. Its nice to see your hubby is going to do it with you. It makes it so much easier to do when you do it together. Let us know how you are both doing on it. If you post your ticker link in the main message post instead of the signature spot, it will show Abby, Your weather is exactly like ours. Its snowing, high winds and in the 20's here now We got about 2 inches. Tomorrow its going to be 52. weird weather this year. Keep us updated on dh, we are still 'ing for himDee, I "am" lucky and I dont take that for granted. Tom is very easy going and it was actually his idea we take lessons after we watched "so you think you can dance" last summer. Toms pretty much open for everything as long as we do it together and I love that about him. Wish your dh would go with you. It sounds like so much fun. Good quality time together JONAH'S GRANNY, Glad your joining us. Your pics are amazing. You dont look like you have anything to lose lol you look great now. The combo research said that the more you have to lose the better it works. Sandy didnt have any luck with it but she had no fat lol. I am curious to see how it works for you. Please keep us posted veronica, I made a Fitness Folder and I keep my info on notepads along with the website and put them in there so I can find them easy. You may want to try that too. Makes it so much easier to find things on this cluttered computer lol was it fitday? Karen, Thats wonderful that your dh even goes with you. I think it is so important to make time for each other no matter what you do to stay connected with each other . Maybe y'all will see us on TV in the future LOLmeyers, welcome to the group. The cla and gla work together so get some Borage Oil and take with it. Most effective daily dose... CLA 3400 mg GLA 1000 mg (Borage Oil) ANGIE, The hoistman at work who started the combo Jan 3 said the same thing. He can FEEL the difference and hes already taken his belt in 2 notches. He said he feels so good now and thanked me for turning him on to the combo. I love bragging about it to everyone lol LosingIt, keep us posted on your results too

I did really well the first time I did CLA/GLA... but my mindset was to see the scale move again!
![]() I do have some ?'s about the GLA I'm using after examining the bottle. I've been using the Rexall Flax, Fish & Borage Oil. Flaxseed Oil~ 400mg Essential Oil Blend (Borage, Evening Primrose, & Black Currant Oils)~ 400mg Fish Oil~400 mg __________________ Omega 3 Fatty Acids~ 442.8mg (ALA-222.8mg, EPA-120mg, DHA-80mg) __________________ Omega 6 Fatty Acids~ 283.8mg (Linoliec Acid-222.8, GLA-61mg) __________________ Omega 9 Fatty Acids~ 92.4mg Now after looking at this, I wonder... Am I getting enough GLA?!? it only lists GLA as 61mg. Is it also coming from the others or do I need to go get a bottle of regular Borage Oil? I did lost alot of inches the first go around using this, but now I'm wondering if I did this right?!? ![]()

What's up with that It didn't take me long to get used to the other one, but my tongue is very sensitive to sweet things. I hate sweet things. I might have to mix it with my coffee in the mornings. ![]() Also it don't taste oily like the other one did. |

LosingIt, I take 1000mg of flax a day along with my 1000mg Borage Oil. I think you should definately up your gla. Or just wait and see how what you have works and add some more gla if your not getting the desired results
Chev, thats strange. Maybe because of the colder weather its thicker? Ours is always consistant. Did you shake it real well? I alwas add mine to a half glass of carb countdown milk so I dont even taste it. We are about to send in another order Friday, so I'll let you know how ours is Last edited by kycowgirl : 01-18-2006 at 12:51 PM. |

hello everyone! i've been reading and i think i'm going to start the CLA/GLA. i've got the dosages, etc down, but i do have a few questions.
1. i'm a little concerned about the possible acne problems. i use topical Rx treatments which keep everything in check but how do i know if i should add in omega 3 or something? (i think omega 3 was what i read i should add.) 2. the liquid CLA - how bad does it taste? am i going to be gagging to get this down? it's only 1/2 tbsp so i should be able to just choke it down if i have to but i'd rather not if it's really bad. Chevy26 mentioned that it tasted sweeter. can anyone tell me what it is flavored with? thank you for any help! |

hi, I have heard that omega 3 helps with the acne. I only got about 3 zits and they cleared up pretty fast. Some people don't have any problems.
Sorry, I don't take the liquid form. I'm sure Trish will be on soon to answer that for ya. GL, hope it works for you and remember we post progress pics on the 1st ![]() |

Okay I found this borage oil?
link removed It says 1000mg per capsule SO I would only have to take 1 a day. Has anyone tried this barnd or maybe have a suggestion for another brand? The one on netriton is sold out. I would really love to take one a day and not 4 or 5 pills!! |

Meyers Borage oil is not 100% GLA, this one didn't list the gla percentage. The ones from Netrition are 1000mg of Borage oil that have 240mg of GLA. I take 2 of them a day with my liquid cla.

CJ, welcome to the family. Be sure to measure and take before pics to compare ina month
Keep us posted on your progress please. Lotsa Luckamy031, Welcome , The liquid cla is creamsicle flavored. Just add it to some milk and you cant even taste it. I have never had any problems with it. It actually makes my skin so smooth and soft and my hair and nails grown like crazy. Here are some of the other benefits of Borage Oil.......Reduce the symptoms of eczema and psoriasis *Clear up acne and rosacea* Alleviate inflammation associated with lupus Prevent nerve damage (neuropathy) due to diabetes Combat damage from multiple sclerosis Ease cough and soothe throat disorders Treat Alzheimer's-related memory deficiencies Reduce stress and high blood pressure Nourish nails, scalp, and hair Counter impotence and female infertility Sorry I didnt answer sooner. I work night shift meyers, Wal-marts brand of Borage Oil has a good amount of gla in them. Netritions are the best but if they are out, walmarts are a good substitute. Did they say how long it would be before they restock the Borage at netrition? We need to get an order in too this weekend. reply from Tom the admin about the liquid cla....... I'll have to check with Netrition's customer support people and the manufacturer and get back to you. Thanks. Tom As soon as I get some info, I'll let y'all know |

I was so sick yesterday.
Still not feeling great today but I'm a little better. I am putting another order into Netrition next Friday. I am going to order hubby the liquid CLA, he takes the pills good for a couple of days then gets tired of so many pills and quits. He will not go on a diet so we will be able to see a true test of the CLA with him. He drinks, smokes, eats whatever he wants etc. He does get a good workout as a carpenter but he's been doing that since he was a teenager (except when he was a marine MP). I'll start keeping his charts and let you all know his progress when he lets me measure him. I have also decided to order the PBL sculpting gel. You choose one problem area at a time and rub it on.... you have to work out afterwards because it releases the fat from the fat cells in that area and makes the fat enter the blood stream to be burned off, if you don't work out to burn it off it will re-deposit the fat in the cells. This will make me work out. I'm going to be taking before and after pics of this also.

I'm going to to go to WM today and get a bottle of just borage oil... should I continue to take the other for the flax~ 400mg or should I also look into getting just Flax Oil instead of the Flax, Fish & Borage combo?!?
Are we shooting for 1000mg of GLA or 1000mg of Borage Oil... it looks like Tom is getting a total of 480mg of GLA a day, is that right? Thanks for all of the help in getting me straightened out! ![]() |

Ok, you all convinced me! I am going to buy my CLA/GLA today and get started. I tried it once before but did not see results--I also see I was using way too little. I will follow what you all are doing 3400/1000 and report back results.

Michelle, I hope your feeling better today. I miss seeing you on the boards. My daughter Treva is trying the combo also with little or no exercise and no diet. Curious to see how they both do. I did take her before pics and weight and measurements while she was here for Thanksgiving. She had a baby in June and has some belly fat to lose. LosingIt, I take 960mg of actual gla a day with my 4 |
