WOE: yikes!
I made a special request dinner last night and ate every bite of it. Do I need to confess the details? I don't have enough fingers and toes to do the math to figure out how many carbs were there. Not to mention the 3 glasses of wine! I am up 3# this morning! Now I wish I'd taken the advice to Tom & Tish and picked up some phase2.

But being the brave soul I am I'm going to have DH take my bikini shots this weekend. Since this will be my first comparison shots, I'll see if I'm brave enough to post them to show progress.

For now, I have wine hang over and need to attend to it -

Michelle, prayers for everyone in your area! I'm glad you are ok.

Congrats to all who are losing and doing so well. I've been stalled with my losses for at least 3 weeks now. Very hard and discouraging. I know if I just hold on I will get past it but it's hard. I did finally go down another .5" in both my waist and lower abs after not changing measurements for 3 weeks so I think I will see a loss on the scale soon. I am also just ending TOM so there is that factor. I have gained and lost the same few pounds.

FINALLY...

the scale (and I) and moving in the right direction!

After working so hard to maintain at 202 over the Christmas holidays with every intention to get back down to my pre-Thanksgiving/birthday weight of 195...I was SO excited about my New Year! But then some unexpected problems came up & I've just really blown it in the last week or so with poor choices, letting my weight creep all the way back up to 209 yesterday morning! that was a MAJOR wake up call! I was so upset when I popped back into the 200s after Thanksgiving/birthday, I can only imagine what things would be like if I ended up back at 210 again.

So, yesterday I put my personal junk aside and got totally back on program and was rewarded this morning with a 4.2 lb whoosh which is just so encouraging to see

Happy Saturday to all...I've been lurking and reading all your posts even when I didn't feel like posting myself & I'm so happy for all of you've who have been doing so well! And for those who are struggling or stalling...just hang in there, it'll happen!

Thanks for the welcome Trish! I've decided to start the combo now. I read in another thread you posted to that it's supposed to work great if you you have a lot to lose. I guess I'll have to see how it works for me. I hope I don't experience any bad side effects from it!

I'll definitely take some starting pics but I WILL NOT be posting those until I can see a difference in the afters! I'm scared to see them. I've avoided cameras for a long time now.

Now I have to decide what and how much I need to take. Off to do some reading!

Thanks again-courtney

good morning everyone!

Thanks again for all of you comliments and courtney i feel so honored to be an inpspiration to you, that is so exciting for me!

Abby, good for you on those bikini shots. I know its scary but there is no doubt that you'll see tremendous results that you wouldnt notice had you not taken the shots.

im2cute, i'm sorry for your gain but at least you were able to regain control before the wait got out of hand. You'll do wonderful!

IM2Cute, I'm happy to see you're feeling good about your whoosh. I also made bad choices over the holiday, but now I'm back on track and in control.

Caly, you are just too cute. Still don't believe you just had a baby.

I'm on my second bottle of CLA. Haven't seen any real loss in pounds yet, but I know I've lost inches.

Well as much as I don't want to do this...this will hopefully keep me accountable to exercise and LC. I have not taken the CLA combo for about a week now...i had to experiment to see if I could get the scale to move some. Then I will go back to the combo. I don't see any difference in the pics from one month to the next....

Carla, I can definitely tell the difference, you look great!

So, Carla, did you get the scale to move by STOPPING the CLA?

I'm a lurker, but am doing CLA/GLA combo and the scale is NOT moving at all. I'm trying to decide whether or not to stop taking it and hope for some loss, even tho everything I read suggests "stay with it"!

yeah, i was wondering the same thing...except for my water whooshie this morning, the scale's been stalled or moving in the wrong direction since I started the combo

don't get me wrong, it's poor eating choices that made me gain no doubt, and I do have inches lost...but I'm just curious if stopping the combo would help the scale go back down any quicker.

I just had to post this. I stated in an earlier post that I haven't seen any real change in my inches lost. Of course, I haven't measured either. I have one pair of jeans that I wear often because they're the only ones that fit. On Monday, they were so tight I couldn't stand having them buttoned.

Well today, I put them on and it dawned on me later that they kept sliding down and they're very droopy in the but area and loose in the thigh area. Also, they're too big in the waist. I've lost several inches, but I have no prior measurements to compare.

Also, I looked at my body completely nude in the mirror and have to say that there's a huge difference.

I'm a believer. CLA/GLA does work.

The scale stalled for me it seemed forever... I think it was about a month, then I started losing again. Don't give up, it WILL happen.... I don't care if I don't ever lose another pound, as long as the inches keep going away.

I have yo-yo'd these 5 pounds and finallly want to break through. I have been doing more exercise this past month too.

Need to make supper ....

Have a nice night all.

I am soooooo happy I took pics because I really didn't think i had changed much since last month but wow, i am stunned by the difference. I will never give up lc, it has been way too good for me.

Wow Caly! You look amazing! Hard to believe that you only went down 3.5lbs on the scale. It looks more like 25lbs. Way to go!

do you think it would hurt to take a break with the combo to see the scale go down some, and then pick it back up later?

Im2Cute - I did that, and yes, the scale went down some.... but the inches stalled... I restarted it and a month later the scale started moving again. I'm afraid to cycle off it again, because it would be like starting all over again and it will take that much longer for the scale to move with the combo.

It's up to you.

Mork, when you start the combo, the scale will most likely stall.... to me the inches lost are worth it... I dunno, it's up to you, too.
