Morning Suzanne... How are you today?
Well, I feel like crap. We just can't seem to shake these colds... it keeps going from Eli to Jason to me and around again. My throat is killing me. Ok, I guess I'm crabby today! We're on our way out the door to Eli's 6 month check-up. BBL |

good afternoon everyone....
Well we had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I really didn't do to bad on the eating but, we had some friends over so I drank a little to much. I hate trying to diet around this time of the year with all the goodies out there. My husband is going to get us a treadmill for Christmas, besides losing the weight we are hoping to get in shape. Suzanne...how are you this afternoon? Boods...hello...I am sorry that you are not feeling well! Good luck to Eli on his big 6th month checkup! Tracy...What a cutie!!!I just want to kiss those cheeks I love the hair!!!She is so cute!Little Bear...It sounds like you did great over the weekend...I hope you had a good time. We put our tree up yesterday...I just love to have the Christmas decorations up it makes me feel so cheery!! I am having a time keeping Isaac away from the tree though! He has gotten so funny here lately. I turned on the Wiggles yesterday and was watching him and he just stood in the middle of the floor and danced away. I think this age is so cute!!I miss him being little bitty though!!!!Everyone have a great day!!!Boods...get some rest and feel better!!!! |

Hi Mommies -
Can I come in? I see some old familiar faces on this thread and it's nice to have a place to go after the Pregnancy Thread! Hope you and your babies are all doing well. The pics are adorable!! I'm starting induction today. So far I had one hard boiled egg and a decaf for Bkfst. Then, I knew that wasn't going to be enough for the morning, so at 10:30 I had three poached eggs, 6 strips of bacon and a diet ginger ale. I'm about to pack my lunch of salad with turkey meat and ranch dressing. I think this is going to be really hard getting beck into the lo-carb swing of things. But good gawd I have to! I've allowed myself to go completely nuts for the last six weeks. My lowest after delivery was 166, now I'm up to 171. Holy *****!! I need to get a grip. Anybody else having a hard time getting going again? BBL. Regards, LizzyD

Hi Ladies,
Boods, sorry to hear you are all sick again! We've been lucky this year. Knock on wood. Because we work with tourists, we usually get all the nasty bugs the world has to offer. Mommyo, good job getting the tree up already! I forgot all about it, maybe we can do that tonight. Tracy, you have such a gorgeous family, and a nice home, too! Lizzy, good to see you! Are you BFing? I have a terrible time with will power, BF makes me hungry all the time. Amybear, speaking of will power, I don't know how you do it! Hope you get a big woosh with TOM! Hi Sarah, good to see you, too! Are you going to be a SAHM? I've lost my 5 lbs of TG over indulgence, now I'm back to 142-143. If I could just get under 140 I'd feel so much better. The air compressor just blew something, I heard clanking followed by cursing. Better go find out how much it's going to cost...and how many days we'll be out of business. BBL

Are any of you pumping and storing milk? If so, when did you start producing extra? Or did you always have extra? I'm getting so frustrated with not being able to pump and save any. I barely have enough milk to keep Brianna fed, she usually get's 3 to 6 oz of formula a day. If I wake up at night and pump, I'll get 2 or 3 oz that Brie drinks in the afternoon when I run dry, plus she gets formula as needed. DH went to the city today and I asked him to try to find some Motilum, a drug Jefinner mentioned that increases milk supply. Somebody is bringing me some herbs, which I prefer to drugs, but they won't be here till next week. At this point, my $300 Medela pump is worthless..... ![]() |

That's one of the reasons I quit nursing. Not enough milk. Katie was taking 2 oz at a time every 2-3 hours and I wasn't able to keep up. Even now at 5 months, she's taking 24 oz or more of milk a day. Several of those bottles have rice cereal in them to help her keep the milk down. Plus, she gets two jars of baby food a day
Think it's all gone to her cheeks! I really didn't enjoy nursing anyway ![]() |

Hey Ladies!
A quick pop in Life is super hectic here, it seems all I am doing lately is babies, you know the drill I am still breastfeeding Laura (to answer Suz´s Q). I have been able to pump at night around midnight, to save. It usually goes into Sammy´s bottle, so he at least has a lil of momma´s milk. He is way to rough on the nipples. The kid thinks its a taffy pull Laura can´t handle the bottle, she prefers da pecho To increase my milk, I did try fenugreek, it worked but when I stopped taking it, my supply went back to normal. So I tried eating oatmeal and drinking a beer, both work really well, but not at all low carb. Also it helps to drink loads of liquid ( I have a feeling I am not telling you anything new..sorry) I am afraid I have done what Lizzy did and gained ( I went from 168 to 180, in 5 months) So I am doing fitday again and watching calories, so far no weightloss but at least I am maintaning, which is all I expect to do as long as I am breastfeeding, I never lose weight Tracy.. nice pics! What a lil chunker she is..what Hair! My guys are still slim kids, at 5 months Sam is 12.5 lbs and Laura is 12lbs. Bood.. So sorry you guys are in the eternal loop of sickness. Get well soon, eh? Suz... gahhh it sucks when your equiptment is down! Amybear.. I admire your detemination! Sarah.. I am so happy to see Tanner is home and well. What a lil cutie! Lizzy..Mommy of three .. I need a waving smilie! ![]() Sorry for the long post.. it seems it will just be hit and miss type of posting..gahhhh I haven´t even had the time to lurk! ![]()

Wow Chris, your babies are tiny! Katie is 17 lbs right now, but will be 6 months old on the 11th of December.
You weight the same as me. Do you have any help with the babies so you can exercise? How long do you plan to BF Laura? |

Wow - Chris, good to see you. Glad the twins are doing well!
Tracy - I'm not exercising yet. I have my 6 week post partum check up tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get the ok to do strenuous exercise. Then, I'm gonna wait until day 3 or 4 of induction when I go into ketosis cause I just know I'm gonna feel like you know what until then Suzanne - Hi there! Brianna's pics are so cute! Huge eyes. Yes I'm bfing and no, I'm not pumping and storing. I don't make enough either. I didn't with ds#1 either, even though the La Leche League ladies I was in with kept telling me "just keep latching him on and your supply will increase". Well, it never happened, and he was latched on all the time. I never had time to fill back up (I never even leaked a drop) and my $289 Medela Pump-in-Style gathered dust. This time around, I'm not stressing about it. I bfeed first thing in the morning and last thing at night, and supplement most of the rest of the time. We get bonding time, he gets my antibodies, and I don't get all frantic and stressed about it. This way, I'm actually really enjoying our breastfeeding relationship. Sorry I'm not much help Gotta go. I've discovered that with three boys and a husband, someone is ALWAYS hungry Later, LizzyD |

Since Laura won´t take a bottle, poor thing tries but sputters and gags.. I will be BFing till she weans herself, or can handle a cup.
I enjoy nursing, so its no biggie, and I am a SAHM. Nope I don´t have anyone helping.. DH helps all he can but he works 12 hour shifts so I am on my own. example this week is nights, so DH will sleep from 7 to 3 during the day. I do take walks, so at least I am getting some exersize ![]() |

Wow, you ladies have a really positive outlook on the BF'ing thing.
At least you are giving all you have and bonding also. I did enjoy the bonding, but that's about all. Chris- I do feel for ya though on being by yourself a lot. I am fortunate that I have a lot of help. Lizzy- yeah, get past that ran- over- by- a- car- feeling before starting your exercise I feel pretty bad today myself. I think I have had 6 grams of carbs today and after falling off my diet that last few days- I sure can tell!Just did 35 minutes on the TM at the gym though ![]() |
