I'm so glad to finally hear from somebody who lives in Ms, I don't seem to run into anybody from around hear that knows about the atkins way. So how long have you been on this plan. I just recently started doing this about 1 month ago and can say it does work. I was doing low cal and was absolutely miserable, hungry all the time. Lately I eat when ever I am hungry and don't feel bad about is, long as its a legal food. I am a housewife for now but I'm really not happy I need to go back to school but right now its difficult w/ a baby with a disability and a heart condition, I worry so much. That is another reason why I like this way of eating, If I want to eat because of emotions than I can grab a bag of pork rinds instead of chips and it not affect me any. Well gotta go do my morning walk, Talk later. |

HEY! Your exactly right about low carbing in MS people look at you like you have 3 heads or tell you how unhealthy it is. I have been familiar with low carbing since 2004 sadly to say I haven't stuck with it. In fact the stats I have are old i weigh more now than I ever have about 236. I know for a fact low carbing is the only thing that works for me i just dont have willpower! I also have PCOS i dont know if your familiar with that I have had 3 Dr.s to say that low carbing is the only way I can lose with PCOS and its true only if I can ever get my mind made up. Also I have been told I cant have any childern until I lose some weight so If I ever wanna a baby I really need to think about that Im 33 and that clock is ticking..................catch u later

Hey there
Yes, I am familiar with PCOS before I had my daughter the obgyn thought I might have it, but then by the grace of god I got pregnant and I haven't had any problems with cysts so far, I go back in august so I'll know then. Tell me something, If I ate a diet mainly of flaxmeal and eggs do you thing my carbs would stay lower. I've Been eating alot lately and the only thing that feels me up is the flaxmeal mixed with one egg. But it can be high in calories. let me know what you think?

I dont anything about flaxmeal although I have seen people on here talk about it. According Dr. Atkins book you need not to worry about calories while lowcarbing, but I really dont know anything about it.

Flaxmeal
Well I know that its nothing but fiber and since I've included it in my diet I've lost more weight. I use the 3 minute cake recipe and cut out the cocoa to lower the carbs, since I've lowered my carbs, It seems that my calories went up. I thought you should stay within your bmr whatever that might be. I know that in a day I could easily consume 2000 or more calories. Alot comes from cream in my coffee, I drink alot of coffee. But today I've done good only 1500 so far. I find myself midnight snacking on pork rinds alot lately. I really should cut that out.

HEY! Thinking about that flaxmeal I might have try it out.but for some reason I can imagine it to be
it may not be. I like eating pork rinds to but I know they can make you retain fluid because of the sodium. |
