Nuss: Congratulations!!!!!!! You look simply gorgeous!!!! Hope you had a fabulous day!

Kissa: Yes water shortages have eased up somewhat, but still critical, unfortunately. We had some rain that came from northern Africa, so my car and my terrace are covered in a nice beige layer of dust!

Shy: Malta!!!! Sounds lovely! Have never been, and it's always been one of those places I'd love to visit!

Cosmic: Sorry about your exam results, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you for the next time!

Lou: I missed Eurovision this year, first time in ages I didn't actually remember! Pity, it always is very entertaining, even though there is blatant political voting!

Junk: Hi there! Hope all is well!

Blondie: Sounds like your daughter will have an exciting time ahead of her!

Mint: A quick wave from me from (sunny, yes!) Spain...

Well, sun is shining, finally, it looks like it's going to be a nice hot day! So far, the weekend forecast is lovely too. This is nice, as I've got guests coming, and they want to go to the beach!
For the rest, I'm trying to be a good girl, and go to the gym tonight. My knee has been playing up a bit, and it's definitely due to my muscles weakening from lack of (conventional, LOL) exercise!

My menu today:
B: coffee, what's new?
L: boiled veggies, grilled hake
D: no idea, as usual am going out with BF!

Have a good day everyone!

Hi Mim, I know what you mean I used to have a Eurovision party every year with friends but even I forgot, it was only because we were at a family BBQ and someone mentioned it that we watched. I hope we get banned from entering next year so I can moan about the EU!!

LOL, I've been reading the Callanetics thread, and as I'm a bit fed up with T-Tapp, I decided to dust off an old copy of my Callanetics book and give it a go again! It's been ages since I tried it, but I remember getting good results, and it made me feel great, so it's a way of shaking things up a little again!

Not to mention that I want to be perfectly toned for my bikini! (first time ever since I lost weight that I actually DARE show myself in a bikini...)

I'm going to do alternate days of Callanetics and swimming in my pool (have a rooftop swimming pool, it's great! Just gotta figure out when it's a good time to go, as tons of kids are always in it) so hopefully I'll see some good results fairly soon!

I'll keep you posted!

I've also been feeling pretty crappy from all the bad food I've been eating on and off, and have decided to do a couple of weeks of Induction to get me back on track with healthy eating. I'm lacking energy, and it's not just due to lack of sleep, LOL! I also miss eating something for breakfast, it makes me feel all jittery when I have all this coffee. Also the alcohol intake is waaaaay too high, so two weeks of nothing will do me some good, LOL!
So, now I've written it down for you all to see.... I'm going shopping this evening so that I have everything ready for a fresh and clean start tomorrow morning!

I'm going "hmmm" just now, as I just realise something. Back when I first lost weight I wanted to lose 100lbs, but only made it as far as 80 and then stalled out. Over the last year or so I put nearly 20lb back on, but realised that and stopped it in its track, and now I've lost nearly 18 again since the start of this year. Thing is, I seem to have come to a halt again (lost barely a lb in May) at of course, around the same weight as I stopped at before.

I hope this isn't that set point thing where my body wants to be this weight and is going to stick here no matter what, since I could stand to lose more for sure, hopefully getting me to my original target weight of 140 or so (size 12 clothes for me.) I'd take 150 and size 14 though.

I guess I just have to keep on eating right, do my exercise and try not to get discouraged and hope it starts moving again. I stupidly got discouraged with Atkins the last time and tried other things to get moving again. (G.I. Diet, didn't work, made me hungry. And Slimfast - which I'm actually embarrased to admit. I lost nothing at all on that.)

I want to eat low carb for good now, for health in terms of diabetes and heart disease, and not just wieght loss. I guess I just have to keep on coming here and having the message reinforced, even if I never lose another pound. Falling off the boards may have helped me fall of the Atkins last time, so I have to stick around this time.

Junk it might hold there for a little while just change things up. Maybe go up and down with your carbs. Add a different kind of exercise drink more water. Something to make it different and it should start moving again. But you have to see it out.

OK...I am going to study now. I need to get that 600. SO I will check in later. My plan is study, walk, and go to Curves. I am going to try and get to the movies this week. I want to see Sex In The City.

Indiana Jones is really good.

Junk, what a great post. YOu are showing such insight. I think you are doing all the right things already, you have been juggling your carbs and sticking to your menu plan by prepping ahead.

Patience is the key and as you say, you are doing this for health grounds even if you never loose another pound. But you will, you know you will.

Good girl Cosmic, you'll have to be a real 'blue stocking' for the next few weeks.

Been to the gym, love this step class, I wish I could do it every day. It is all down to a great instructor.

Hi everyone

Sorry been a bit AWOL lately. I am REALLY busy at work as I work at a University and our results day is end of the month so we are frantically getting all the marks through the exam boards.

I've also been a little bit despondent with the board lately, well, actually ever since the thread I started about the negative comments regarding my YouTube video got deleted with no explanation and no reply by admins when I contacted them.

Some people are just really cliquey and too far up their own bottoms for their own good.

Not here though, only reason to keep coming back the is the UK thread, you ladies RAWK.

You guys crack me up!

I didn't get told off, a thread I started was deleted because one of the "clique" whinged about it, when I queried its deletion I was not replied to. I have run HUGE forums before and I always made sure members were informed. For example, a thread was never moved or removed without the thread starter being told why.

I am keen to make more videos. I used to worry about being found online, however, I guess it is too late for me now.

On a good note, got the electrics done in the kitchen, and the plasterer is coming next week (fingers crossed).

I think we've all been in trouble at some point, I'm sure cosmic and I had the monopoly on deleted posts or words, at one point . . . do you all remember the meatball and mushy peas posts which included that word that rhymes with 'maggot'!! LOL!!

How an innocuous thing as a meatball could get me into so much trouble I'll never know as it's so low carb!!

Anyway hi from me to Al, not sure if I've met you or not . . . I'm returning from a spell of absenteeism . . .

Hello to the oldies . I just dropped in towards the end of the last thread, but I keep being attacked by raging hormones that take away my ability to type coherently . Anyway, I'm reading regularly even if I don't always remember that if I don't join in, nobody knows I'm here .

Hey

It wasn't against the rules, and I didn't get into trouble.

It was over my low carb rolls video. Apparently, I STOLE the recipe from Cleochatra (spelling?). The lady herself seems lovely, but you'd think everyone else is under the impression she has the monopoly on egg roll recipes, actually got the original from the book as the lovely doctor himself invented it. Of course, add more cheese, call it Oopsies, and that's another story. I have often made them with more cheese myself when I first started low carbing, just always treated variations upon a recipe as a no brainer. I NEVER make recipies as they are written, I always mix them up. I am sure that most of us confident enough to cook do the same thing.

Cleo does seem lovely but there are always some people who love to stir things up.

Anyone who hasn't yet seen your videos should watch them, they are really very good.

That photo was taken last Sunday! I am an admin on a local music forum. Every year the members (or those that can get up - I actually went back to bed after the shoot) get together in the local park and take a group photo. Someone pointed a camera at me as I was cold, hungover and sat on a bench, so I pointed back!

It is a different kettle of fish moderating a local forum, because we all KNOW each other. Has it's good and bad points, and is one of those cases where you cannot excuse your behaviour due to it "being only the Internet" as you may see them out the next evening.
