Thanks! That's my dream weight. I got down to 135 last time. This time I know about my thyroid and adrenals going in, so nothing is going to throw me off guard and derail me!

Hi Meek!

Today is my Day 4. I know I was at least 194 last week, and today I am 190pointsomething.

Yesterday, I ate:
B: 2-egg omlet with cheddar, green pepper, mushroom, ham, bacon, and sausage
L: 4 oz roasted chicken breast, 2 oz corned beef, less than 1/8 cup chicken salad
D: herb roasted pork and 1/2 cup broccoli & cauliflower with butter, salt, and 1 T sour cream.

I also had iced tea with splenda and coffee with a tablespoon of cream.

Hi Judith!

CONGRATS on your loss!!! That's fantastic! That shows you are doing everything right on target for sure

The first time I tried Atkins, in March of 2003? I gained and lost the same 8 lbs for over four weeks. I was so frustrated! But once the weight loss got going, it got going and then some, in a major way. Hang in there!

Hi Darkfire *waves*

Baltimore is my hometown!

I am just now into my third week of induction. So far, not too many results, but I know how stubborn my body is starting off with this. I'm bound and determined to get this going again.

I live in Montgomery County. I did Atkins long ago and lost weight and gained some back and did Burn the Fat and Feed the Muscle and got really thin and gained back some weight and now I just eat mindfully and aim for healthy choices. I look at a day and try to plan so if I eat pizza then I don't eat alot of fat and calories the rest of the day.

Dana Carpenter cookbooks helped me too. I like the one called Every Calorie Counts.

I have been on this site since 2003 when I first did Atkins. There used to be many MD-VA people and we once all met at someones home for a party and all brought low carb foods to share. It was fun.

Hi guys - I from Loudoun County VA. Can anyone join your thread or do you have to be on Atkins?

I found LCF by googling Callanetics and have just joined that thread. My youngest of 3 turned 1 in April and I'm still a good 40 lbs over my pre-baby weight. Things have been difficult lately and I'm a total stress eater.

Meekness I noticed you have your own weightloss journal. Has it helped you? I'm thinking of doing my own to keep me honest about what i really put in my body.

I have the book 'Flat Belly Diet' and was thinking of trying that or at least modeling my diet on the principals in it - MUFAs with every meal and 4 400 calorie meals a day.

Debbiedo what is the diet you mentioned burn the fat feed the muscle?

Have a great day!

I had several journals + I was blogging. I like the blog better. Yes, it has helped. It keeps me honest and accountable.

BFFM or Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle is a plan by Tom Venuto. There is an ebook you need to buy. There is some info on Muscle Matters.Essentially it is all about weight training and eating a higher carb, higher protein and lower fat diet and eating every 3 hours or so or 5-6 small meals. There have been many threads on Muscle Matters. It worked very well for me but not so great when I wanted to eat out because it requires using Fitday and measuring. I am now aiming on eating healthy and not eating junk. I am trying to make healthy choices and basically in maintenance. I do like the idea of getting back down to 115 but I was as low as 112 and was told I was too thin. I like the way I look most of the time until I see photos at races where I am running and then I see huge thighs and a fat tummy. I know I am too hard on myself.

I am 51. I am 5' tall. I have three kids all pretty much grown. Youngest is 17. I exercise a lot and do my best on eating. My resolutions this year were to ligthen up my need for control but stay accountable on the scale.

I too have a journal I never use. I have a blog on google but no one visits and it is really just for me and mostly about my running and occasionally about weight related issues.

A workout partner would be cool...I sure could use one on the weekends! lol I'm trying to do some sort of activity 6 days a week (mon - sat) but I never make it on sat.. lol

Oh..ok! You're pretty much set

I thought about purchasing a treadmill for my condo, but I live above someone and don't want to be running over top of their heads (lol). However, I'm searching for a stairmaster - but can't find one at a reasonable price

Anyho, if you ever wanna go running at F.C.H's track, let me know. I run there on Sundays after church.
