Todays bargains spotted in Tesco. Packs of chicken thighs or drumsticks, buy one get one free.
Perfect for me, the Finest sausages, with sweet chillis, which I was buying anyway to make a soss casserole, 3 packs of 6 big sossies for £5. And bargain of the week! Blueberries £1 for a 200 gram pack! They were £2.99 a couple of weeks ago! Must be doing them as a loss leader. Last edited by junkfoodmonkey : 05-17-2008 at 03:10 AM. |

That dress is actually the jacket that went with the dress I wore to my daughter's wedding in 2006! It looks great over white jeans and a little T. (The outfit came from a 2nd hand shop!) Thanks Shy.
JFM this would be the day I chose to go to Sainsbury's! I am enjoying the IE/Paul McKenna thing. I will watch things very carefully though as I have slipped up this way before. Currently I feel very happy with it. |

Nope Ben is still Ben with issues. I just let him do his thing. Scott is my Goat Farmer. The fall before I moved home (2 years this fall) we got back into touch and then I couldn't reach him again. So I thought he was blowing me off. So I was home at Christmas and I thought I will try him one more time. I got through and first thing out of his mouth was I know you think I was blowing you off. I was gonna lie and say ohh no but then I thought why lie and I said yes I did. He then said he just didn't have his phone on him when I called. He also said he didn't know what all the numbers were so he couldn't call me back. We talked a lot the rest of the time I was home. Then managed to talk at least once a week for an hour or so until I moved back home. I was dating someone at the time. So...I kept it all friend stuff. Then I came home and I was with Ben. Ben is great but has some things he needs to sort out. So I let him go. Then in October Scott and I hooked up again as more than friends. Does that help clear things up? We were on the phone for 2 hours last night. HeeHee he makes me laugh. How ever gas prices all killing me as he is two hours away.

Nope he is due to visit in August. It got pushed back because of his work. He has one more course to pass then he will get bumped up in the police. He is doing firearm training and I am really proud of him.
I know I can't complain I know that your prices are a lot worse. It costs me $75 to fill up my truck unleaded. Diesel is about a $1.00 more so it would run be about $100 or 50 quid if I had a diesel truck. So...I know not to moan to much at all. I have had a really great day. I got my Birthday present from my brother and I love it!!!! It is awesome. I also got taken out to eat at the Outback and I am so stuffed, that I can't move. My birthday is Wednesday so you can send me presents if you want. ![]() |

We had a glorious hot day yesterday and we went to the beach! Well, we walked along the beach and into the dunes, even paddled. Not in shorts or swimmies you understand, but still... We drove up to North Devon, Croyde Bay, stunning.
Today we went to an NT property, A La Ronde which is only 10 minutes from us but that we had never been too I am ashamed to say. We are members too which makes it even sillier. It was lovely and we walked around the meadow garden too. We are off back to London on the train tomorrow, just for one night. DH has an appointment with his consultant and we are having dinner with old friends. Feels as if we are on our holidays.

It sounds like a holiday, Kissa
. We've just booked a couple of days in Porlock Weir next month (Somerset coast, at the far western end of the county). We're going to wander around and take photographs - it's a hobby for both of us, and another friend who's going too. |

![]() Well...our first trip is over. Didn't stick to LC when I was away Northern Ireland was beautiful in the sunshine, and my family are all doing ok ![]() Also, great news on building front - darling hubby's hinted that we get a builder in to do some of the work, which is of great relief to me as I have had visions (or should that be nightmares) of my house minus the entire back wall whilst I'm trying to cook the turkey at Christmas As they say, I'm striking whilst the sledge hammer is hot and the builder's coming to quote on Saturday How's Devon Kissa? What's everyone else up to? I seem to be having trouble winding down to my break from Uni and think I should be doing something rather than chilling out - I'm sure I'll have cracked it by the time Uni starts again in September ![]() Happy losing, Cx |

While we're planning holidays, we were talking over dinner tonight about going to Paris. I haven't been since about 1980. We thought we'd probably go by train. Has anybody done that?

Well..today is beautiful and looks like I will have a great Birthday. Trying to talk Goat Farmer into coming and seeing me Saturday after the Hen Party. I have some good reasons. He said but my hand and back hurt making me all cripple. I told him sometimes I just like being around him even if he does stupid man stuff and hurts himself. We will see what happens.
I took allergy stuff last night and slept until 11am today. WOW.....I feel better. I am thinking of all the things I need to do today. I am also looking forward to dinner with my family. It is a beautiful day here today. |

Hi, all. I've been too busy as usual to chime in much. I've had a good week shaking it up a bit diet wise, going up to around 40g of carbs a day, and next week I'm dropping it back down a bit. Keep my body guessing.
Also going to start having more salads and cold stuff now the warm weather seems to be sticking around. And this weekend I've got a bunch of writing projects to work on. Fun! |

Thanks Shy. OK I am having to slightly 'wing-it' because the nutritional info on packaging is somewhat lacking/unreadable. This morning I had fried egg and tomato with fried chicken salami. It looks to me mostly whole chicken, but I have no idea of the carbs (bacon is available but 3 times the price of bacon in the UK). SO, I will have to either stick with this or investigate what else is available.
Last night we had seabass with runner beans, grilled tomato and courgette chips. And for lunch tuna mayo mixed with peppers and tomatoes on a bed of lettuce, it was lovely. Lamb chops today. DH is on it too but I am sure he will deviate. Well, he already has, -he had a lager yesterday. But I am not so worried because he has lost a lot anyway with our new lifestyle. Inevitably he will have less carbs even if he isn't following it to the letter. How's everyone doing? Anyone seen Utamaro's Geisha?? Last I knew she was in the midst of a nightmare getting her flat done up.
