Eileen,

Wow, I bet you are excited to see your daughter again and very happy they are moving back to Texas.

I have hopes our only will eventually find his way back here at least in a driveable distance to us.

I, too have to have something on my stomach for breakfast or I get into trouble.

Today, I ate clean. Am feeling better.

Son is coming for last dinner with the ole' parents before he leaves on Sunday.

I am on vacation next week, so I don't know how much I will be around
but I plan to be on track for sure.

Have a great weekend, all.

Hey, all you low carbers, where are you and how are you doing?

Has been a hectic week, we worked on our rent house to get it ready to sell.

On plan, have a great weekend planned. Going to the Scottish Festival in Arlington with DH in his kilt, etc.

Where is everybody?

Still here and working like no one should also! Great visit with my daughter. Major garbage going on at work. Decided I will give my 2 weeks notice tomorrow. Feels so liberating. I have a "bully" boss. Again today after I came in at midnight and told him I was going home at almost 2 pm so got an attitude like how dare you...I'm sure they will try to relocate me in the store. A few openings exist. Management is aware of what is happening. I hate all this - I'm usually not a complainer. Everyone the the dept feels the same but is afraid of retaliation if they speak up. I however will not be intimidated. Going to eat some Progresso cheesy chicken enchilada soup and hit the hay. Hope everyone has a great weekend - bet your husband looks priceless in that kilt! Eileen

Never heard of a scottish festival ever sounds like soo much fun but arlington is beyond dh's comfort zone. My red hat sewing group is going to Sun Moon's in september anyone ever been there?
A lady and her husband in my Tops group have been telling me of Renaisance fairs all over Texas. Bet none of these have a low carb food booth haha.

HI, just got in from all day at the Scottish Festival. Great fun.

I had tons of sf limaeade, (refillable glass), a bratwurst & saurkraut sans the bun while out there, few pecans, (I suspect they had some sugar in them, so I didn't eat many).

Eileen, good luck finding a new job. I hate bully bosses. Wow, I am so impressed all the stress has not caused you to stress eat, which has been my problem in the past. Good for you.

Soon, you are so right, no lc booths at the Scottish Festival, one has to make the food fit the lc lifestyle.

I was excited as I have long wanted a period bustier with a peasant blouse, full skirt, etc., but I haven't had the shape or felt I would look very good in it for several years. Today, I tried on one (over my shirt) and it looked great. I had a tiny waist, but who wouldn't with all that boning in it. Maybe for my birthday present in October when I will hopefully be down in weight even more. Also, very expensive, so I will have to save for it.

What a motivator!

Hope you have a great weekend.

Still here. Feeling guilty here - I check this almost everyday and well - always intend to post. Daughter went back home to PA Monday - sad to see her go but they are planning on moving back in November. Very busy at work but back to 2 days off a week. Was off last night and got up and did my usual Dollar Tree, Wal Mart, HEB run this morning. Very hot here. Going to have some leftover Dreamfields, read the newspaper and get to sleep cause I have to work tonight. Hope everyone is doing well and I will make a point of posting more frequently! You are not alone! Eileen

Hello Bobby. Glad to see you here. Not much action lately - I think everyone has been working alot. I am not familiar with Wylie. I am in Austin. People pretty much spread all over Texas here! Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. Eileen

Bobby,

Welcome to our group! What plan are you on and how much do you need to lose?

I have been busy at work this week, but try to check in when I can. Computer down for a few days, boy did I miss it.

Still hanging in there. Down a size in clothes, even though the scale isn't moving. It will, sooner or later, I am sure.

Well, got to go hit the shower and then the bed.

Will post later.

A big high five on your loss Slendercate! Board very slow this week. Not much going on here in Austin. Just workin away...Blah blah blah. I did find something that I'm getting a little bit excited about - planted some container tomato plants. Checking them everyday like a crazy woman. Everybody at work tells me I need to go out and do "stuff". I tell them I honestly just like to be at home! Could never have imagined myself saying that 20 years ago. Went to Target to get my yogurt Monday and did find a good deal on Ball Park Beef hot dogs - $1.75 - every now and then I can find them at 2/$5 but that seemed like a good price. Not much else going on here - darned hot - but I know I'm singing to the choir on this board! Everyone have a safe and enjoyable weekend - Eileen

Eileen,
So glad you took time to post. I am truly dissappointed at the drop off from the folks that started out. Guess they have dropped out or joined another support group.

Yeah I feel bad about it also. Last time there was a TX board on here (over a year ago) it seemed like the same 3 people who would completely ignore anyone else. So I was really glad to see everyone welcomed here! I am off tonight so I went thrift store shopping today - found some treasures - I collect old Pyrex and it's really hard to come by but I found some nesting mixing bowls today and some really old amber colored sherbet glasses. Oh yeah - and a Ralph Lauren pantsuit for $4 - checked it over completely and it still has the dry cleaning tags. Not much else going on here. Hopefully everyone will start posting again! Have a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!

Hi little bear. Is Frisco anywhere near Andrews? I have an ex sister in law from there. And - where in NY? I was born and raised in Peekskill (Westchester County). Glad to see you here. Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th!

Hi, y'all,

Last Sat a week ago, I had actually gained back 6 lbs.

Last Monday, July 14, I started South Beach, phase 1.

Yesterday, July 19, I had lost the 6 lbs I gained and am on my way down.

I think this is a plan that will work.

How is everybody else doing?

Hello everyone (or should I just say Slendercate)..LOL - I know I'm just as guilty as everyone else! I know I should post more often cause I do come here looking for new posts everyday when I get off work. Not much going on here. I am off tonight so I just put a pepper popper in the oven (I use poblanos instead of jalapenos cause they aren't so hot and it's much less tedious than cutting and seeding all those small peppers) and I have a NY strip that I'm going to pan fry. Finally got on the scale after a couple of months and I am up 1 1/2 lbs but now that I'm aware of it I will be stricter - every now and then I start thinking since I've been maintaining for 3 1/2 years that - well you know! Waiting for the news at 5:00 so I can watch the weather. A preview earlier said something about TX coast anticipating Hurricane "Dolly"...We sure could use some rain here in Austin. Well - that's all I've got for now. I hope everyone is safe and doing well...Eileen

Welcome, Low carb princess.

I started this thread some time ago, but most have dissappeared except Recluse and myself.

I have switched to South Beach as of last Monday, lost 6lbs and am excited.

What plan are you on?

Will talk to you later.

Hi Slendercrate!
I am doing atkins right now again however i will eventually slide towards SB (the 2x i tried SB it didnt work or i just ate too !!) But basically at the end of Atkins, they turn to be the same w/leaner foods and veggies/fruit so its all a good plan to me in the long run! You are doing awesome w/6lbs on it already!!! Thanks for saying hi! I joined the lose 50lbs by Dec 31 and we are going to weigh in on Friday so hopefully I will be out of the 200's if only 199, I'll take that, lol!

I'm in North Houston.

Right now, I'm doing a slightly modified Atkins '72 induction, and will eventually go into normal Atkins '72 until I reach my goal - then, I'll either stick with it, or move to SB, all things in time.

I'm just South of Austin, but I'm not really from here. I guess I'm kinda doing a modified SB...maybe. I don't really know what I'm doing, but it's working. Down 11lbs so far, but I will probably have to modify my diet, and drop even more carbs as I lose more.

Good to see his board is becoming a bit active.
