April 1st eh? So I could say "wow, I lost 20lbs in March..... April fool!"

Heh, nah, just 4.18. But inches are down enough that this weekend I intend to attempt to shrink some of my clothes. Cheaper than buying new ones if it works.

I'll weigh once a week again now, but trying to keep from being scale focused and being sixe focused instead. Also, MUST EXERCISE!!!

I haven't been measuring (I know I should have!) But back in Jan I'd got up to wearing size 18 trousers and 16 on the top. I could just about get into size 16 trousers if I wore shaperwear undies. And size 14 tops (which I've got plenty of) IF they were generously cut. My size 12 tops were out of reach.

Now the size 18 trousers I can wear only if I use a safety pin to take them in! And I can wear the size 16 trousers and without the scary undies. And size 16 tops are loose now and the 14s are fine, though 12s are still too tight.

By the way, what the hell is the deal with clothing sizes in this country? I have got one skirt that I can wear (with the scary undies) that's labelled a 12! Size 12 my arse! Vanity sizing strikes again.

That's the digital scales for you. Done of that "is it just to the left or the right of the line" nonsense.

How important is it to wear the super unsexy undies that suck and hold everything in?

April is looking good here too. Rained this morning but the sun is out and wow does it look pretty.

So things are good. Getting everything posted for my license to day and I just have to sit my exam on April the 26th. SO...cross everything, pray, and do whatever else you need to do that I pass. Then I will have a very good job.

Food is on track and since it is the first I see a good reason to get the exercise on track too. So that will be starting today.

Shy, thanks for the advice (March thread), I need to drink more water, I fear

April already! Blimey this year is flying past. Still feeling focussed, and hubby collected his new motorbike today, so I NEED to get back in my gear ASAP

Happy losing everyone.

I am thinking about dating someone with a bike. I sure would like to be able to ride behind some hot guy at some point.

I made it to the gym today.

This is always a good way to motivate yourself, LOL! Anyway, well done on making it to the gym!

I have to confess, my visits have been sporadic to say the least. In the last 10 days I've been once.... I've got better things to do at the moment than sweat in a gym on some machine...

I've been looking at my summer wardrobe, and most of the stuff I own is either too big now or just not to my taste, so I feel a little summer wardrobe shopping trip coming up soon.... Haven't got a clue what to get, it's got to be work sensible, yet nice and cool enough to wear out and about here too! Problem is, at work they crank up the airconditioning to arctic temperatures, so I need to get cardies or jackets as well, just for work. Oh, the dilemmas!

Hummmmm Shopping sounds like so much fun. I am going to try and make it to the gym again today. I have been good and eating correctly. So things are good. I have a date on Saturday. He is driving almost 3 hours to come see me and we are going to hang out and watch the college basketball finals. So...not sure how this will be. As a friend is trying to hook us up. But he is really nice, we get on well, and he makes me laugh. Still talking to the Goat Farmer just not seeing him on a regular basis. But talk a lot. So I was a little ify but I figure I don't have a ring and no one has said not see anyone else. So we will see how this goes. I am really nervous.

everyone! Got the blood tests done this morning. Now all we need is his salary certificate and we can get married. Insha'allah next week he will get that. My new housemaid will be here by the end of next week. So I am hoping we can go away for a few days - ALONE when we finally get married!

Maryam: how exciting, not long now!!!!!

Well, I'm totally messed up: even when I want to eat bad stuff, I can't seem to either find any or find any that agrees with me.... Guess I'm stuck with generally low carbing here, LOL! I have the occasional Nutella indulgence moment, but other than that it's fish, meat, veggies with the sporadic bean thrown in! Had a mad moment of eating mashed potato the other day, and ended up with bad cramps, so no more of that!

Have got some lovely weekend plans with my BF (notice how I stopped calling him OM???), and apparently the weather is going to be lovely and spring time like (springtime here is around 20-24 degrees celsius) so finally the T-shirts can come out!

Hope you are all very well,

xxxxx!

I've switched! From Philidelphia cream cheese to Tesco's own brand. The Philly I had last week just seemed to go all runny after a couple of days, and I ended up chucking it out. Plus it's just so sickly. The Tesco one had slightly lower carbs, I like the taste better and it stays all thick - you can take it out of the tub with a knife, rather than having it running off a spoon the way my Philidelphia did last week.

JFM, I used to love Philly, and then I discovered the Tesco brand and stopped using the Philly, I agree with you totally! Missing the Tesco one now, as we can't get it over here....

So it's not just me. Cheaper too of course, which is good for the old Credit Crunch.

My DB thinks he's either saying, "Hello" in his sleep or saluting.

Thank you for welcoming me. You're all a friendly lot!

I am involved with the Stillman's Challenge at the moment but with my dieting and exercise, I've slimmed down to a shapely 10 Stone (Click my profile to compare.) Well, a little less, actually. Yet, I hit a plateau and doing this challenge to shake things up!
