Do you not have GNC there? I get stevia at GNC here and it is white, dissolves nicely but can be SUPER sweet so I have to really watch how much I use. The brand i got has managed to get rid of the disgusting aftertaste so I can actually tolerate it in my tea!

Hi Shykins
I really liked the small gym, much more friendly than the huge one I used to feel intimidated at. The trainer took me throughthe aerobic/cardio equipment & on friday he will show me the weights/resistance stuff. he is going to write out two circuits for me to follow, alternating each week. I feel much more positive about this gym memebership...feels like Im actually going to go regularly this time
I just had an awesome moment on my scales (sad but true, it felt awesome) Ive lost 3lbs And Ive had clotted cream & strawberries for the last two days as my dessert
Im loving this way of eating sofar. I know its early days & Im feeling abit headachy today (day 3) & woke up a few times last night to pee so guessing Im in carb withdrawel

Well done Crystal.

I made it to the gym two 45 minute sessions, back to back. Conditioning and step, no breakfast, I should know better!

Yesterday DH went in for an ablation on his heart, while he was 'under' he had an episode of fibrillation, so they did an internal cardioversion as well. He came home a bit groggy but he is fine today. The miracles of modern science!

Wow kissa I really hope all is well with your DH

Thanks for the welcome Junkfoodmonkey, it is great knowing you are all here. It is really helping me to not feel isolated...all my family & friends think Atkins is mega dangerous so I havent told anyone what Im doing.

Alcmene I just noticed your post about seeing James in concert...Im jealous they are so good, I just love their music.

Im starting to notice my appetite has gone this has never happened to me before, Ive always been a grazer but today I havent actually felt hungry AT ALL (Miracles do happen!!!!!). I still ate breakfast & lunch at the right times but havent had dinner yet & its nearly 8pm. I am going to make myself eat some king prawns & salad soon because I dont want to skip meals & mess up induction. I am starting to feel freedom from my past

Crystal, I am so happy for you.

This is truly a wonderful way of eating for so many of us. Of course there may be stalls and hitches along the road but you have already found out how this style of eating improves so many areas of our lives.

Enjoy the journey, we are all here to support you.

Hi all and welcome Crystal!

I'm sorry for being so absent, have a lot going on right now, with work, BF, guests and my social life, I just don't seem to be able to find the time to post much. I've been lurking though!

Things are still well, I'm getting some of my appetite back, but I'm trying to make healthy choices so I'm staying away from too much bread, pasta and rice and avoiding sugar too... Seems to work, haven't put on any weight, but no more weightloss either, so I guess it's finally stabilised a bit!

My menu for today:
B: nothing (I know, BAD, but not hungry) washed down with 3 black coffees...
L: Today I'm having grilled asparagus, and some kind of meat and cabbage rolls, with maybe a yogurt for dessert
D: Going out for dinner with BF. Probably something fishy for a starter, and something fishy for a main course. No dessert, but a decaf short milky coffee probably...

Usually my breakfast is now an apple and a handful of mixed nuts at around 11 in the morning...

It looks like it's going to be gorgeous weather over here this weekend, so I guess I'll dust of my swim stuff and get ready for the beach... (Am frantically searching for self tanner, scrub and tons of firming body lotion, LOL!) I'm sure all the Spanish will get an enormous fright if I appear on the beach in my bikini, I'm blueish white.... LOL!

ahhh it is COLD here!

I went to see Derren Brown at the Blackpool Opera House tonight, was brilliant, though I went to the first leg of his tour last year so it was the same show.

Alcmene I just watched your you tube videos geat stuff

Hi everyone I was a silly billy yesterday & while I was getting my hair done I had a cup of tea & they brought with it a small square of rich dark chocolate which I stupidly ate I also hadnt planned ahead & didnt take a suitable lunch with me (I was having my hair coloured so was trapped in the salon for 4 hours from 11 til 3pm) so skipped a meal I didnt have any hunger so just forgot to eat when I left the salon & at teatime my son had a bike accident & I was at casualty all evening til midnight so another meal missed so no weightloss for me yesterday
Havent had breakfast yet as body clock all messed up from being awake til 4am but my son is doing well now & is allowed back home today so Im going to get back on track with my next meal

This has been a valuable lesson for me - PLAN AHEAD & REFUSE carbs that are offered to me from others!

Hope your son is recovering well Crystal, I don't think you need feel too bad about a piece of dark chocolate on a day like that!

Hope the hair looks good, bet you knocked them dead in casualty! Lol

Made it to the gym again today for an aerobics/toning class. I think I must have pushed myself a bit hard this week as I felt really heavy and achy. I won't get there next week as my sister and her DH are coming to stay tomorrow until next Thursday.

I love it having visitors but the exercise goes out of the window.

Shy, my partner and I went out and got Wii fit today too! Unfortunately it didn't tell me I was lighter, in fact our bathroom scales are pretty accurate. But it is great fun, and a new interesting way to exercise!

My exam is tomorrow and Goat Farmer is coming to see me. So I should finish before noon and then be home to rest a then he will get here for dinner. So say a prayer I do really well on my exam. We will grill out and just hang out. I will need the stress release in a big way.

Hi everyone!!

I really want Wii Fit though it is expensive. Is it worth the cash then? If not I may get Guitar Hero instead.

Hurray! I did it! I edged juuuust under 11 stone! And still 5 days to go before the wedding. I had originally hoped to get to 10 and a half (147 lb) before the wedding, but these last few lbs or so REALLY didn't want to leave me! I guess I can now aim for that before I leave Switzerland. (6 lbs in 3 months - that's achievable?) I finally fitted into some old size 12 jeans yesterday, which means I am pretty much back to the size I was when I arrived in this lovely but fattening country! It can only get better from here!

I can't imagine most of the Wii Fit games to work for parties, although there are a few fun games. Not so many that a few people can play together, so Mario Olympics is a lot better for that sort of thing. But I have found it really good fun so far, a welcome change from my regular exercise DVDs.
