Hi All

Shy - we arrive in Cyprus on the 16th of June. However, plans may change as DH might be up for a job back in Oman - so, although we love the idea of Cyprus still (and we're continuing to plan for it) we might end up in Oman (where me met 20 years ago!!!)

Planning on starting to exercise tomorrow. Have been going through old pics - sorting through a big box and placing them properly in Photo Albums - and let's be honest - I look soooooo much better when I'm slim!!!

Alcmene - I'm on the look out for Wombat Ears - I love wombats!!!! Though they'll probably just look like bear ears - oh well!

Let you all know how the exercising goes tomorrow!

More importantly, we all feel better slim.

Shy, if you mean when I was taken out for dinner by DH, I have tricolore salad, Avocado was under ripe, followed by Buffalo steak and courgette 'chips'. It is a Italian which specialises in Buffalo meat and cheese. Loved the chips, they were obviously dusted with a bit of flour before deep frying, but I shall do them with parmesan.

Oh

I had a piece of Tilapia baked in the oven with some lime juice, accompanies by some mashed cauliflour! yum yum

Errmmm, I started a thread last night about a YouTube comment someone made on my video and it seems to have disappeared, is it just my computer or has it been moved?

Hey there everyone, I've been based in the UK for the last 18 years (but not English) and have been LC on and off since 2003.

have a message to: Alcmene, thanks so much for the video you made on youtube, I've seen the recipe many times but was scared of the folding thing, your video was so clear about how to fold...

Also doe they all fall/collapse after taking them from the oven or is there a way to keep them round?

Thanks again.... now if only I can see a video of ho to make meringue... am hopeless with that, don't know why ... I tried to do a LC Pavlova so many times, but always end up with a huge flat Rev roll ...

Hey Sandy, how strange! I don't know where it is gone. I have some experience running forums, I used to be an Admin at SitePoint Forums: Resources, Design, HTML, CSS, PHP, ASP, MySQL and more for your web site. which are HUGE forums, and whenever we moved a thread we always emailed the thread starter.

Yes, they do fall a little bit, although the lighter your touch when folding the whites the higher you can pile them before putting them in the oven, so the less they fold.

I may try my hand at meringues, I can make ace non-LC ones, but I think not using sugar may be a curse for meringues.

Thanks, if you manage to make the meringues let me know, my attempt yesterday ended with that desert (you know the one with egg white used as a roll an filled with cream an stawberries/other fruit) forgot the name of the desert, but its really nice too.

How did you make yours? My non-LC meringues are just egg whites, caster sugar and cream of tartar. Sometimes food colouring to make different coloured ones heeheee.

Alcmene, more or less same as you mentioned above, only used xylitol in place of sugar, the egg white looked nice and fluffy, when I tried to bake it, it ends up like a rev roll though, so I piled lots of whipped cream and strawberries in the middle and folded the baked egg white with cream/strawberries in the middle ... looked like a Swiss roll with cream in the middle, very tasty - but not meringue lol

I go for natural stuff - i heard sweet almond oil is the best for area around the eyes, but Lush has good stuff for the eyes , all Lush stuff is natural and has expiry date, so if I am lazy and don't want to make my own beauty product(I make my own soap, face masks etc), then i go for Lush.

Yeah if you mention something that Netrition sells then it links to their products.

Lush is absolutely wonderful. I currently am using the Buffy Body Bar and the Salt Face Scrub, yum yum.

Shy, yes the courgette chips were like good old fashion big chips. And buffalo is just like steak but one of those naturally low fat meats.

I use a lot of no 7 products, especially the P & P one that Horizon did the peice about last year.

Where in the UK are you Sandydown?

I made another egg cream today, this time with some double cream and a little bit of coconut oil. It is really delicious and means I 'eat' before going to the gym which I never used to do.

Yesterday a reorganised my pantry and found all kinds of things I had forgotten I had, very theraputic.

Morning all. Well, afternoon actually. Confession time. I'd been craving the yummy froth of the top of a Starbucks latte or cappuccino, so I had a cappucinno on Saturday, just to get of off my mind! With whole milk, and an extra shot of espresso to leave less room for milk. Less that ten grams of carbs, and doesn't seem to have done me any harm, and I'm not after another one for a long time yet. At least I didn't go nuts and get a muffin too!

Try the egg cream, especially cold, you get great froth.

I love cappuccinos and the carbs quickly mount up

I spotted this new eye stuff in boots by ROC. It's called an eye lift pen - supposed to be good for under eye bags as it reduces toxins. Think it was about 20 quid.

In terms of eye creams, my understanding is that most of the brands do the same thing and the aim is to use a very small amount at night. (I work in PR and we represent the trade body for the beauty industry so have looked into this kind of thing.) I use an eye cream by clinique but only because it came free with one of their offers! In fact, my bathroom cabinet is full of eye creams as brands always seem to give these away...

Hey

I use Clinique too, but I have seen that ROC may give it a try!

I have some Stevia, not too keen on it though, I mean - IT'S GREEN for Gawd's sake. I bought it on EBay! ha ha ha
