Well Mum & DS and her DH have now left and are on their way back to England - missing them already!!!

Things are very quiet here - but I have just re-booked all my flights to Larnaca and even with the cancellation payment I had to make to Emirates - I saved us $1000/- (AUD) - so I am quite pleased with myself!!!

Back to work tomorrow - so off early to bed, I suppose - no more swanning around like a lady of leisure (I get used to it way too easily!)

Have fun all!

Hi Emslight!

Well, here all is fine, I really seem to be having less and less time to check in... I wonder why...
Anyway, we're doing really well together, every day seems to be better, and I've never felt this way this fast before. Maybe this is it!

Work and food are fine too and I've managed to find a better balance with my food intake, so I seem to have stabilised my weight a little...

Haven't got anything else to say at the mo, I'm happy, body is happy, so I'm going to be boring you all!

thanks everyone for the warm welcome. wonderful to have found you all and am finding the support incredible. i have always tried to lose weight on my own, never made a big deal about it to folk and always spectacularly failed because i'd been cutting calories, feeling starving and then never got passed the first few days. hence, a pattern of yo-yo dieting for most of my 20s. now, to share this journey with you guys is amazing. i don't feel on my own anymore!

i just had a baby 3 months ago, ruby (rubyrose.ploggle.com) who, along with her 2 year old sister, lola (lightjunior.ploggle.com), is keeping me busy. i managed to lose most of the pregnancy weight in a few weeks, but then have hovered around 11 and a half stone until starting this woe. i'm now 11 stone (at last weigh in, 3 days ago). i've lost 6 pounds since starting 9 days ago so feeling chuffed. want so much to be in the 10s after the full 2 weeks are up!

really enjoying the plan so far though. i love the food i can eat and am so pleased to be rid of the carb cravings that were testing my willpower and making me feel pretty crap. i feel energised and alive.. and that's even with a broken night's sleep every evening!

anyway, i could rant all day. suffices to say, great to be here. thanks for having me.

Mimosa I am so glad you are happy.

Now...if just one of mine would work out I keep trying. HeeHee

Welcome Ems

Shy wow I just saw your pictures. Ummm ladies I am sun burnt. I sat in the sun reading this weekend and now I am striped. I need to even myself out this weekend. HeeHee

I am also homesick for England. I know I say this alot but I just looked and it hit me I have been home almost a year. As soon as I get hired on with the school system, I am booking a trip to come over. I just need some good income.

SO how is everyone today?

Hey everyone

Not been around much, bogged down with work. As some of you may know I work for a University and this time of year is VERY busy for us, exams start in 2 weeks!!!!

I am still in my office at work, thought I would just peep in here for a minute! Wanted to go to spinning class tonight but I've missed it now!

Very quick check in t say hi to you all.

Missing Mint and her Dh, they gave us such a great holiday and put themselves out for us all the time. Vicky is doing so well and sticking to the plan. We discovered the joy of the egg cream, lovely.

Maryam I am so happy for you, congratulations.

Alcemene things will sort themselves out, you will know what to do I am sure.

Mimosa, so glad things are going well with BF.

Shy, you look wonderful, glad you have lost our holiday weight I need to do the same...

Welcome Emslight good to have you on board.

Enjoy the China trip Lucky, you will have the best time I know...low carbing may not be easy though!

Cosmic, I wasn't much good at 'dating' either. I am a one man woman.

Well done on the loss Nuss.

Lou, JFM anyone else, Hello!

No suntan really, although we lounged in Vicky's spa pool I didn't really sunbathe. We had mixed weather, cloudy and sunny but it was a good thing as I don't really like to be too hot these days.

Photos will follow when I have more time...

just turned it on. saw the last one where she tried to get down to a size zero. felt sure she developed an eating disorder along the way as her face looked really puffy at the end.

Hi All

Glad to see that you got home safely Mum - hope the flight was good! (or at least not too bad!).

Welcome emslight - I'm in Australia - but I'm a 'pom' - Kissa's my mum - and I'm moving closer to home in a couple of months - to Cyprus!!!!

Alcmene bad luck about the hard work leading upto and during exams (remember what that was like in college in Kuwait - but we only had 1000 students! - and it wasn't Uni level stuff either!) Hopefully this means that work life isn't so stressful over the summer - but that's probably not true!

No pics of me - mum - need to shift that weight still!!!!

Have a great day everyone!

HeeHee he isn't really a Goat Farmer. He is a farmer but has cows and got goats a year or two ago. The goats make me laugh so I call him that. I rang him at 9.30 this morning. He is going to the Keenland (horse track) with a Dillion (mate in from New York), Dillion's friend, and Brad. SO... while I told him I smell better than the boys, look better, and cook better he needed to have a good time.

He is coming to see me next week. I do like him best. The other night this made me feel really good. I have been trying to get all my transcripts and things so I can get my license to practice Audiology in Kentucky. He asked me how that was going and if I had heard anything. I was telling about the run around the lady in Frankfort was giving me. He got all fired up and said " Can't your brother or Dad write a letter? They are jerking you around now and that is horseshit." It made me feel really good that he was in my corner. But then again we have known each other for a long time. He was giving me grief because I couldn't remember that at one time he had 4 earrings.

Sun is out and it is so pretty here today. I am hoping to even out my tan lines. I am now peeling but I knew that since I got burnt pretty good. I seriously have spring fever.

Hey

Everyone sounds good!

As usual I am still at work, which is OK actually as it means I will have a nice Friday night in as opposed to crazy usual Friday night out!

Will go food shopping when I leave, maybe buy something nice for tonight like steak of big piece of wild salmon!
