I totally agree! I HATE. HATE, HATE dating!!!!!! I had known DH (that's wierd!) for 13 years when we started dating so there was really no point in playing games. I knew his brothers, worked with one of them, and most of his friends. Guess that was really an advantage - I already knew the REAL man!!!!!

Shy - I just have to say, you are still looking fantastic my friend!

Shy - I know exactly what you mean. Still, sometimes, when I get compliments I think "they are just saying that to be nice"!!!! But you do look fantastic!! No pictures, sorry. We just went to the court and signed the marriage contract. No party or anything. well, small party with the kids after. But I really do need to post a picture because not only did I get married, but I got my braces off last week, too!

Mimosa - Feels great. I have been in love with this man for so long! And I think the decision to not have sex until we got married was reallly good for us. We proved to ourselves that our realtionship could last without the physical side. And it made for a wonderful wedding night!!!

Hey

Well you know, I am happy, I am a happy person. I keep thinking about life changes though! I have been in the UK 16 years now and I am getting itchy feet. I love my job and I have some very good friends, but I keep thinking I should maybe go elsewhere now it is time for a change. I know that I would cry though!

I am debating maybe going for 6 months, but have to work out the logistics of such a move. Still have a mortgage to pay, and I would love to be able to have my job if I came back.

Well...I talked to him yesterday. I think I have been being to hard on myself. All my friends have said if he didn't like me he would have left very quickly. He would have gotten up that morning and taken off. So....we will see what happens. I will keep you updated. I know this week is his long week and he will sleep as much as he can. I would like to see him again.

I hate the sort of games people play when dating. It's usually best to be open and honest with eachother...
My BF and I have been very honest about our feelings from the start, and it has made our relationship really wonderful! No wondering what someone is thinking, and no wondering whether you should or shouldn't say something...

Cosmic, if he likes you, he'll make an effort to see you ASAP! xxxx!

Well....we will just have to see. He did drive 3 hours to see me. So that is pretty cool. I think he got home Sunday and it was really pretty. He went for a ride on his bike and just let it get too late. SO I will know when he calls today.

blondie... aww sounds so wonderful.. CONGRATS again.. ok i know i already said it but hey u can stand it more than once cant u

alcmene... if u really want to do this then do it, u dont want to spend the rest of your life saying oh if only i had done that...can u talk to work about a sabbatical or is it a job u could walk back into if it all goes wrong??... as for the house well cant u rent that out and make enough to pay your mortage?.. of course u would cry but u wont lose your real friends....umm not sure but i hope some of that helps

thanks junk, glad u all got what i meant about compliments,, someone even said to me the other day i have known u 7yrs and thats the first time u took a compliment without some self deprecating funny remark

Cosmic you are like the fountain of all knowledge!

So my current Morissons has had a face lift with a swanky new "health" section, where I found some Spiced Tomato Sauce. I bought it, looks like it is good to go. Whatch ya all think?

Hey girls sorry I havn't chimed in for a while.

Shykin- you do look lovely girl!! I can't wait till I can hit goal like yoU!

CosmicMuffiin - I love your sn. I also wanted to chime in, although I have no relationship advice for you, I just have to say, isn't dating fun? No seriously, the whole waiting around for him to call or wondering if he likes you might seem like a torment right now, but overrall I think it's what's so great about dating, the mystery and the suspense. At least for me. I MISS BEING SINGLE!! I love my dh, but I swear, being single was so much fun for me!

I am loving london!! I've managed to get my hands on sugar free chocolates, thanks to your help. The last few days I've been busy getting my daughter to a doctor so she can get her immunization, then I had to go to the Chinese embassy and finally get our visas signed. Did I tell you that my baby and I are going to china to visit my family for a month? SO SO SO excitted!!!

As far as atkins goes, I am back on strict induction today. None of that SF chocolates for a while. I've been allowing myself too many Indian foods since there are so many of them around my house.. I've kept it low carb but the salt and the sugar really is killing my number on the scale. Plus, once you sorta fall off the wagon, you kinda give yourself a million new excuses to stay off, you know what I mean?

Oh oh I have a very very important question to ask all of you. I am back to my fitness routine, or at least, I want to be back in my fitness routine. I can't seem to find any place that I can get a set of dumbbells for a decent price!! The gyms here cost an arm and a leg. I tried Sweaty Betty but just a set of 2 kilo dumbbells cost 18 pounds!!! That's insane!!!!!! Is there any place I can get a yoga ball and a dumbbell without forking over all that money?

Thanks

Lucky: Try Argos. You can order online or go to one of their shops. That's where I got my weightbench, my dumbells and my swiss ball. Good service, not too expensive and fast delivery!

Luck...you can live through me and smack this one on the head. Then tell him he would be stupid to not keep me around. HeeHee

He did call yesterday...for a very short call on his way to work. He said he would try to call today. Yesterday while I was EXERCISING (HeeHee) I thought about in Flashdance when the girls are at the gym and one keeps saying I don't think he will call.

AHHHHHH.......I have to get my food back in gear. SO tomorrow is day one again. But I will get through it tomorrow. I need to keep busy that helps me out a lot. It has rained a bit here today.

I am not looking at walking and exercising as my new job. I must do this to make me feel good about myself. SO I am going to work on liking myself a bit better.

How is everyone else today?

All is well here, just a teeny bit of Ex drama... BF's ex is a bit weird in wanting to know about me, etc, which I find annoying. What's it to do with her? She has found a picture of me on my facebook page and has shown it to people she works with. Thing is, is that the industry we both work in is a very small world, so of course it gets back to me... Whatever. Just plain weird....

Mimosa - totally feel you on the weird ex thing! DH's EX-wife takes the cake. 4 years ago she DEMANDED that he divorce her so he did. About a year ago she decided he should buy her a car!!!!!! She doesn't even work and his kid rides the bus to school and besides YOU ARE DIVORCED!!!!! Now she is going ballistic because he married me! Can you believe she still spends holidays at HIS FAMILY's house!!!!!! I just tell him, that's your problem. I don't want to get involved!

Congratulations Maryam - from me and Mum!

Sounds like everyone is doing well - I'm still heading down slowly on the scales - as you say Shy - Mum does help me to stay on the straight and narrow. We're having a party tomorrow - so all my friends can meet my DS & her DH - so Mum and I have been having fun preparing lc food for everyone. Only had one downfall - needed Soy Powder - not Soy Protein Isolate - for my desserts - so I'll have to go shopping again tomorrow (oh dear - lucky we love shopping!)

We have been having a great time - unfortunately the weather has been a bit blah - but yesterday we managed to go to Mooloolaba (great name!) on the Sunshine Coast (north of Brisbane) and DS & her DH went for a swim in the sea (none of the rest of us were brave enough - too cold!).

Alright - off to bed now - big day tomorrow!!! (I'm such a non-domestic Goddess!)

Some very inspirational photos on this thread! I need the motivation as I seem to have hit a wall - very frustrating as only three weeks to go til the big day and I can't seem to shift any more pounds! If I could just lose about 5 more I would feel very pleased with myself. The only thing I can think to do is to up the exercise regime.... fingers crossed! Blondie - congratulations! I will soon be following you into the married ladies' club!

Morning ladies!

Vicky - Thanks and say hi to your Mum for me! We miss her on the exercise challenge!

Shy - I work really hard on my abs. My NY resolution this year is to FINALLY get a six pack! And yes, I think the "extra" exercise is going to help!

Nuss - Thanks. You can definitely lose 5 pounds in three weeks. Just go very low on the carbs and drink loads of water and increase your exercise. That should do it! You are going to be a lovely bride either way!

Mrs. Mad - Thanks! That's so kind! Honestly, I FEEL ten years younger!

i agree nuss u will be lovely bride with or without those 5lbs, if u are really desperate why dont u try cuttin gback on some of the fats for a couple weeks that can have good results

blondie unfortinately cos of my back i cant do situps etc so dont think i will ever have abs like that... aaah well we have to think of where we come from and where we are now and be happy dont we (oooh very philisophocal for a sunday morning lol)
