Hi Christi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I tell ya the truth I was really beginning to think I was the only one here. I am starting Induction AGAIN I have over 100lbs to get off my back. I do really good staying away from the sweets, potatoes etc...my downfall is MEXICAN FOOD and how do you stay away from temptation here in El Paso? I have found a few places to go that sell meals low carb choice and they are good but you have to avoid the chips/salsa courtesy stuff they place on the table. When I'm alone I can just say no thanks but when with family, friends who are not low carbers, they munch and crunch away. I have discovered innovative ways to prepare things at home that take away the cravings, and do a passable job of true flavor of enchilada, taco etc... but you can't hide at home forever.
So anyway Miss Christi what if anything is your downfall or inspiration in staying on the straight (and hopefully) NARROW?????

Ahhhh, I miss El paso Tx. Me and DH are from their. I miss authentic mexican food. you can buy huge meat burritos and not eat the tortilla. also theirs this cool place right infront of Super walmart in Juarez that is know to serve the best stake, that's all they serves their Stake, guacamole and bake potatoes and salsas nothing else. I forgot the name but I remember eating their with DH and it was so good. They had all this newspaper clippings of reporters from ELP and other places naming it the best. Also Villa del mar restaurant is awesome with their fresh fish, lobsters and salads for an affordable and authentic taste. God I miss Mexico. Oh and another none related lc food is I miss Chicos Tacos. You guys are so lucky you have the best of both worlds.

Well I'm gonna start missing Mexico soon too. They are about to close the border here unless you have a passport to return into the US of A and the price for one is outrageous for the little I go across. Actually the LC wraps are not bad substitution I found also that if you finely spitz with water and quick fry they get a nice CRUNCH for tacos ect. Linda Sue (I think that is where I got the recipe from) has enchiladas where you use deli turkey for the wrap. I tweaked alittle and use the GF grill and grill the slices alittle to give it alittle bite, but then stuff like a tortilla and pour on the sauce using authentic Mexican cheeses. As far as Chicos Tacos, this I can not and will not recommend. But they say around here you either love em' or hate em' no middle ground. My favorite is KiKi's
But the one thing they can not take away from me is jelapenos and green chili these I eat anyway you want to serve em' They have also just opened down on Zaragosa by the Indian reservation a HUGH HUGH mexican meat market. I have not visited yet but the office mates and I have plans to go sometime this next week to check it out.
I also found that if you do a cheese shell in the oven and fill with meat, sour cream, guagamole, and lettuce etc... fold it and eat a passable Burrito.
Another nice EL Paso activity is the hiking this time of year. Won't do in the middle of summer but until end of April it is very nice to go back into the Transmountain area and just explore.
Anyway nice chit chatting.

Good thing I got a passport before getting married, planning to go to Italy.
You know what you are so right about Chicos Tacos, you either love them or hate them and to tell you the truth I hated it up untill I went with some co workers for lunch when I was 23 and fell in love with it, to bad I moved out a year later.
What about El taco tote. God I love it their and have no plans going back enytime soon.

EL Taco Tote. Now you're talking and you can do LC. We order the family steak taco platter, feed the pigeons the tortillas.
