MICHIGAN - 2/8 - Dutchie is visiting LCKim

Dutchie is coming to my house February 7th and we want to know if anyone wants to get together. I know a good location for many of us in the past was the Sterling Heights area.

I live in Port Huron and that is where we are coming from. Maybe we can settle on a central location for the majority and have dinner.

If you are interested please post below and let me know. In the past we have meet by LakeSide Mall in Sterling Heights and the Mongolian Grill, which is great for low carb food. There are lots of locations in that area we can go to after dinner if we want as well.

When posting if you are interested, let me know where you are coming from. If the majority is coming from Flint we can meet closer there.

I'd love to come. I asked Pami to come and stay some wk-end, maybe I can get her to come that wk-end. Also asked Ben and Linda about coming ( Ben has lost 16lbs now) Keep me posted. I love that grill, but it would be better for us if it were earlier in the day, long way home. Doubt if we could stay if B&L come, they have small kids. But if Pami comes maybe we could get a room for the night. Plan on us

What about Lorrie, Pepsi and Les?

I mentioned it to Sarah and she thought her and Todd would be able to join us.

Doesn't matter to me where we go for dinner, I'm easy. Oh wait, no, not easy......I'm reasonable.

Hello! I am on day two, going on day three of induction. I would love to meet other people around here who are doing the Atkins program.

I lost 60 pounds in three months back in 1993 and kept it off for almost two years...but moved to Florida and ate, and ate, and ate(I did not like it there). I'm at 205 lbs right now, and am 5'*". I am determined to stick with this...and again...it would be nice to meet other people.

Please let me know when you all are going to get together! Thanks!

Wherever the meeting is, I wlil definitely be there!

I weighed 197 this morning...and perhaps I should post this to the newbies area...but since you are all in *this* area...

Two problems I am having.... I have been lightheaded to the point of feeling a bit woozy if I get up too quickly. Also...I guess some people have problems with constipation when on Atkins. Definitely not me! I am just rereading the book right now(I started off with the acceptable foods and induction section...and am just getting around to reading the bits of the book I'd read *years* earlier). If I'm not mistaken...this is normal. For the wooziness...I need to add nuts to my diet or eat a bit more. The other problem though...does it eventually go away? What are some other side effects...until your body gets used to the new way of eating...?

Note...I am wearing slacks to work that are *so* loose, after just eight pounds...I'm afraid I'm going to have to give them to the Salvation Army. What a shame. ;-)

How about we plan on going to the Mongolian Grill again. We can always change it if we need to, but that is a great place for us to eat.

Let's do dinner at 6:00 on 2/8/03. The grill is right by LakeSide Mall in Sterling Heights. Maybe Sarah could post the address.

Please post here if you plan on coming and if you are bringing a guest. We will tell post the attendees and call for a reservation.

I know I will be coming, maybe DH, Yvonne and I will check on Rachel and Sharon.

Let's start with something. Maybe we can go out for a little night life afterwards.

I now live in Boyne City (1 hour south of Mackinaw bridge) but was born and raised in Sterling Heights. I know exactly where the Mongolian BBQ is. (Right by the best and biggest shoe store ever!)

I will be in Mexico till February 6th, comming into Detroit Metro airport that day/night. If all is going well at work, and I don't have to go back up north right away, I may stay at my mom's in Sterling Heights that weekend to visit with the rest of my family. Would it be OK if I just popped in if I am still in the area?

I totally forgot about my apprenticeship...If I start it before the 8th, then I probably won't be able to make it for dinner, or if i can make it, I will be late....

This apprecticeship is gonna majorly interfere with the gatherings...I will be apprenticing for 6 months, then I will get my license, then things will change...

But I will still be in chat everyday...and bug everyone with email...

I am kinda house bound until the weaher breaks cause I can only wear mumus due to my size but if it is in the 30's I'll be there and if not... I'll make the next one. It is kinda hard to go so far for me as I live in Yale..St.Clair County. But if I can I will. I'd love to meet you all

Okay, I have not heard back from Les. Sarah please let me know if you are going to be able to make it. The Mongolian Grill is 45 minutes from my house and I can't get a group together we may just stay more local and Idie can come stay at my house. Hey Idie, we are going out Friday night by my house around 9:00 PM and staying in a really nice hotel if you are interested.

I guess I just need to know if anyone wants to eat in Sterling Heights on Saturday night. I just want to be sure we have a group going.

Please post your plans here and we can decide what is going on. It is less than a week away now. I am so excited to get together.

I don't think I am gonna make it my grandaughter come over with the flu and gave it to me so now I am so sick & i have asthma so it is harder for me to shake so I doubt I will make it this time but let me know about the next one o.k.

Please let me know who is coming for Saturday. If I don't get anyone for dinner I want to stay more local on Saturday and not drive the 45 minutes to dinner. I sort of picked that location because it was a central location for most folks to meet.
