Welcome to the best place on the net. I have been on the Atkins for six days now and am going strong. I was on it before and had lost 68 pounds but for some unforseen reasons i gained it all back. mainly because I broke my leg and was layed up for two years. but I am back and going strong I have lost six pounds already and am totally thrilled.

The people you find here you will be amazed with them. They are absolutely wonderful people. The best thing is you do not have to hide in anyway that you are overweight because they already know it : ) ...... Good luck on the Atkins and if you have any questions feel free to ask . I am sure you will get ten answers to it pretty quickly .......

I am originally from Milwaukee but moved to Houston 2 years ago. I am planning on visiting my family up there in June sometime when it gets warmer *L* I've lost all tolerance for the cold since moving to the humidity capital of the world, Houston *L* Best of luck to you all!

Janet, you and I mad opposite moves ... I moved back to WI 2 years ago after 15 years in Garland, suburb of Dallas. I totally relate to your trouble with cold. My first winter back, I thought winter would never end.
Glad to see that there are more of us here ... good support for the cold winter months ahead.
BTW, just finishing day 2 ... so far so good.

How funny! So how are things going in the great white North? I'm actually planning on going up to Green Bay for a day or two, going to Oneida. I'm going to see my family in Milwaukee over 4th of July and we want to take a day trip up there!

I'm going on day 9 and I'm doing great, lost another pound this morning even with TOM!! Hope things are going good on your end. Nice to meet you!

Hey, if we can get a few people together, I can meet in Racine as well. I work there. That would be fun to meet others who are doing this same program and see how it has worked. I was on it in 97 and lost 20 lbs. But have since gained back mostly due to stress eating. Looking forward to losing more this time.

This current cold snap has really put a damper on thinking about exercise. I hate getting up early to go to the gym when it's sooooo cold.

Hope all is well with everyone else living in the "frozen tundra". Hope we can get together.

Hello Cat shelly and janet....... it is too darn cold to think of doing anything lately..... it would be great do get together for lunch or something on you way up to oneida... hehe may even talk me into going there .. was there on new years and lost my butt just got off a machine and some lady sat down put i think five dollars in and won 400 then 160 then 60 dollars. talk about making a person sick lol

I am on day eight of my Atkins. so far have lost 11 pounds.. woo hoo.. it is so great to meet people from wis that are doing this too.....

Groovy!! Let me know when and where and I'll do my best to be there. I'll probably be in Milwaukee for about 10 days and then one of those days we'll head up GB way. As the dates get closer I'll drop a post as to when I'll be in the area for sure. I think we're trying to 4th of July week if all goes well. The BF and I want to hit Summerfest and Ren Faire while we're up that way.

Welcome to our little part of the net here . I am hoping to get a bunch of the people from Wisconsin together this summer I think it would be great to meet some of the people on here and to get the inspiration from each other. Although I like to think of it as a get together of friends not just people that are on Atkins.

WELCOME to all the new posters! I'm glad you found us. I'm on day 10 and have lost 9 pounds, so I'm pretty new too. I never thought I'd be so happy to call myself a "loser"

Summer sounds great. I cook at a summer camp till July 11th, so if possible, I'd prefer a later date. But we generally go to TX for a while in the summer, so don't plan around my schedule.

Hi, I spend most of the summer in the St.Germain-Eagle River area. Let me know if you plan an event this summer maybe we can make it. Lo Carb is still not a recognizable concept in the northwoods had a fun summer getting by on pork rinds and meat and those wonderful Friday nite fish fries (broils).

Hi all. I just found this site last week. It has been a few days since anyone has added to this thread, but I just found it. My husband and I are in Milwaukee. Dh is orginially from Appleton. I used to live in Houston and Fort Worth ages ago. I still can't get used to the cold again.

I am in Madison, WI. I have been here about 4 years; grew up in Texas. It's cold, but I don't miss East Texas' 100+ degree, 100% humidity summers! I love July in Wisconsin!!!
