Ok, another quick fly-by...

Can you believe it's November already??? Only 29 more days till my last work day here!!!! Things are moving fast now, and I've started to pack up my life in the UK. Living in between and out of boxes has always been a secret ambition of mine.... LOL!

Anyway, what's everybody doing this weekend?

I'm going to a black tie thingy tonight, so I get to dress up in a pretty dress!!! Always fun!
Saturday I'm going to meet up with a cousin for lunch and do a little shopping in London... (if any of you are around and fancy a cup of tea in the afternoon, just give me a shout, would love to meet up!)
Sunday I'll be doing more packing of stuff in boxes....

Have a lovely weekend!!!!
xxx.

ETA: Maid, well done on the shopping!

JeNell: I'm cheering for you to reach your goal on the 8th of December!!!

I've not done much preparation for the holidays, got some shopping done for Xmas: I ordered some books with Amazon for pressies! LOL! Haven't done any other shopping, but since my family and I don't do much in big pressies for Xmas, I won't have to brave the shops during the festive season! Whew!

Thank you for the cheers.

Maid I already have some done too. Because I know how horrible going to the mall during the christmas season can be.

I am worn out today and I am off to Curves. So I need to get a move on. I don't know why I am so tired. But I dreamed about HobNobs last night. I know I can't have them right now...but maybe after I reach that first goal. Funny but I am watching everything British that I can. I did this when I was in the UK but I wanted all American stuff. I really feel torn in two. I need a really good job so I can come and go as I please. Or...to hit the lottery. I will share no worries.

Yup, Christmas is coming!

Well done all you early shoppers, I have done a little bit, but it is the Cards that always depress me! 150 + is too many.

Yes Lou is very quiet, I looked on some of her other threads and she is MIA there too. Hope everything is all right.

Just had my best ever yet 1 minute muffin, yummy.

I am fixing eggs and sausage. I was lazy and didn't want to really cook. That is easy.

I'm going to be missing in action for a while - no phone line to our new house (at all!!!) We are buying a new house and the builder has subdivided a plot and built 2 houses - they other house has the original phone line!!! We will have some internet access - but now sure what we'll do about phone calls mum!!! I will ring before we move out of here.

Our internet access will be through a totally wireless system - so it will be very expensive - so shan't be able to do a lot of 'viewing/reading/writing' etc!!!

Alright all - will talk more before we head out of this house!

Well I need to just crack on and get my house clean. But I want to be lazy.

I am going to do a lot of baking for Christmas. I think it will make nice gifts. I might not be able to eat any of it but for some people they don't need things.

kissa-what kind of 1 minute muffin was the best ever??! Do tell!

Mint-good luck with all the house moving!

Cosmic, what is a mall, I forget.

Mimosa, I'm so jealous, always wanted to go to Spain. Someday maybe.

Shy, well done on the shopping. that is very impressive. I try to get it done before the end of November usually. If I leave it till later, I really can't enjoy all the holiday festivities. There are always school concerts, plays, programmes, parties, etc. that I want to go without any guilt.

Hi Blondie, where are you?

Lisa, you out there?

I am worried about Lou-bi too.....it's been a long time since she's popped in.

Hi all!

Had a busy weekend, and a busy start to the week!

Am terrible at the moment: I keep ordering mineral makeup online! I am a total convert to this stuff! Love it, and it looks so natural, just like you're airbrushed.... I put another order in just now... Feel bad, but hey, a girl's gotta treat herself, right???? LOL!

xxx.

Hi Maid, Mimosa, everyone.

Oh it wasn't a special muffin really I used almond flour and some SF Maple syrup I had forgotten I had. Maybe the egg was big, I don't know but it was just huge, soft and tasted divine.

It is so worrying about Lou, this is just what I was talking about last month, I REALLY worry about our missing LC friends. If they are just posting on other threads that is fine but, when they just stop, I think all kinds of terrible things.

Mimosa I had a 'makeover' a while ago with Trish MacEvoy products but I have never tried Mineral makeup, though I have heard of it before.

Bye everyone.

I'm really looking forward to meeting you on Saturday, Kissa!!!

Shy: This facebook thing is totally addictive! Terrible! Most of my friends are quite active on facebook, so I get things thrown at me or sent to me, and so I of course have to return the favour, LOL! Very bad when you're supposed to work.... BTW, how was lunch with your friend?

Maid: hope all is well! How's the weather over there? I'm cold here, can't seem to get warm... Looking forward to moving, as at least it won't be as cold in Barcelona as it is over here in the winter!

Mint: hope your moving goes well, and that you don't stay incommunicado for too long!

JeNell: what are you baking for Christmas? I'm always on the lookout for nice recipes (I love cooking!)! How did the cleaning go? I've been putting off mine, and REALLY have to do something about my kitchen and garden at the moment.... YUK!

I'm also worried about Lou, Lisa and Blondie and our other missing friends... Also, has anyone heard from Juno recently?

Anyway, I'm going to do some work, so probably won't check in till tomorrow! Have a good day everyone!

I will, it looks like fun I am in Northumberland, right up against the Scotland/England border We have a huge ammount of RAF bases here, so our villages can be quite international!

Is everyone here expats? Or are we an even mix of Brits and US? I was born here, though have moved around the country a little, I always end back up in Northumberland, it is where my heart is

I'm not British, I'm Dutch... I have lived in the UK for the last 10 years for Uni and work. I've been in the south east for the last 6 years, before that I was in Plymouth.

I'm leaving the UK at the end of this month, and moving to Barcelona in January! Found a job there, so I'm excited yet a little scared too... I guess I'll miss the UK, but I'm excited about this new adventure. First, I've got a month off in December... Spending that with my family in Holland... Hopefully we won't kill each other before I leave! I'm not used to spending so much time with my parents! (usually after a week we end up annoying eachother) I left home after school, so I've not had the long term living with them for 13 1/2 years. Very daunting to be living with them for a month! I guess I'll have to socialise with friends lots and not get in their way too much, as I'm a guest now!

Ohh, good luck with the new job in Barcelona!! What do you work as? I hear ya about family. My parents are wonderful, don't get me wrong, but a little distance makes the love much stronger and us appreciate each other more, if you know what I mean I hope that your stay goes well before the big move

I really had every intention of doing some work here.... LOL!

Yes, I really love my parents and the rest of my family to bits, but sometimes we like eachother better when we're not near one another, LOL!

I work as a Perfumer, so I create new smells... I love my job!!!!
