I have lots of good intentions for August . . . we'll see!!

I plan to eat cleanly, no alcohol or sugar, a bit of exercise when I can and to enjoy life at my smaller size, even if I'm not where I want to be yet!! Here's to a great month everyone.

Lou-bi xxxx

Thanks. Lou. Happy August everyone and isn't the summer just a wonderful thing?

I am so loving wearing light clothes and even white jeans!!!!

Lou I have been following the 'Pearls' thread from its beginning too and I have been taking acidophilus too. I don't really have any constipation but I do believe that we need lots of good bacteria in our guts.

Maid I am the worst xmas shopper, every year I think I will do better, never do!

I try to get most of the xmas done by Dec 1st, but August, no way. Thank goodness for online shopping. Makes life easier when living far away.

Building is going good, still not in the new place yet. Must.be.patient.....Must.be.patient....

FRIDAY!!!

If the builder doesn't kick it up a notch, we're all going to squished in the old house, but we'll make do.

Heat, electricity and water should be running by Tuesday.

17th birthday...lovely I remember. Glad you had a good break and the weather was, like you say, OK.

Talk about bad eating, tonight I ate Baclava and profiteroles and I don't have a sweet tooth. Before that I ate bits and pieces on bread and stuff and now I feel like an elephant. I drank champagne, so that HAS to be good.

Wow Maid, hope you can all sleep in the new house, even if you have no work
surfaces!

Morning one and all, after a little rain this morning it's now sunny.

Shy I'm going to tribfest in 2 weeks then Leeds festival the week after. It's the first ever Tribfest it's near Driffield. The bands are all tribute bands I've heard that the Bootleg Beatles are going to be there and there's a lot of stuff put on for the young ones, my son is going to love it!!

Leeds the week after, is our family hols so it doesn't really matter to us who's there but this year the Red Hot chilis, Smashing Pumpkins and Razorlight are headlining, some of the smaller stages though have some of the best music, Ash are headlining one of them.

I went driving yesterday!!!! . . . and Saturday . . . and I drove in this morrning, using the motorway My instructor said I didn't need any refresher lessons and just to do the advanced pass+ thingy, so I'm doing that!! I can't believe that I'm actually driving

Kissa - The pearls thread is amazing, I have been taking acidophilus for a week now and it really has helped. I have also cut down on my dairy, I love cheese but I think that may have been causing some problems. I bought some soya milk at the weekend and thought I'd try that too.

Shy - I love being ready for christmas early, I do leave some fun shopping, like the little knick-knacks for Craig and Richie until last but I like to shop in the january sales so I do a lot then and there are some great bargains to be had in the spring and summer sales too.

Maid - Fingers crossed for tomorrow and the services being switched on xxxx

Morrisons has german breads!! OMG I love them, they're low cal and high fibre, yummy! The carb count is 17 for 2 slices but you can only eat 2.

the tribfest sounds great could imagine my little un really enjoying that unforutnately we are off to wales that weekend

yup i leave a few knick knacks to get jus for the fun but its so liberating not having to rush round the week or so before xmas.. i think we bought all little uns stuff in the sales and what with bday and xmas within a week of each other it could get expensive

well done u on the driving u should be very proud of yourself u will have to fill us in on what u learn at the advanced course.. i did one ages ago and even got to go oin the police skidpan which was very scary but good at same time

very nice maid .. ok is it every woman who has a thing about fireman???

have changed my stats again today as i seem to be settling around 10stone ish at the moment which means i gained back half a stone or so .. its been very scary watching the scales go up but i am trying to convince myself thats ok and i look a lot bettr for the extra pounds .. am going to see if i can pretty much keep to that weight within 5lbs and if i go above i will kimkins or induction to go back down again.. this maintenance thing is not as easy as u think

sorry hope that dont sound moany to those who arent at maintenance yet its just more difficult then u think when u are so used to seeing the scales go down and getting praise .. suddenly u dont and its weird and hard to handle, even when i knew i was getting unhealthily low when i was ill part of me liked the fact the scales were goin down

ok thats my admission which i couldnt tell u all when it was happening cos iwas getting scared .. am stil working on the mind thing but am getting there i hope

Shy – It’s nice to hear even if it’s not nice to hear it . . . it’s helpful to be warned in advance. I’m not really that far from goal, I’m not exactly sure what that is but I’m sure that I’ll know when I get there!!

There is definitely something about a fireman, must be a throw back to our ancestors, huddling around a fire (fireman) for warmth!!

It can't be the uniform otherwise we'd like traffic wardens more!!

I'm not sure I could get to 140 . . . I was there a looooooong time ago but that was back when I palyed team sports!!

Issues and control in the same sentence!!!!!

Okay, I have a fireman theory. Since we don't have invaders or pirates to carry us off, the hunky muscled fireman is the present day equivalent. Never mind that it would take two of those to drag me out of a burning building....in my fantasies, I am thin and gorgeous.

I was gonna put this in the whinge thread, but it's not really a whinge...yet. More like alarming...the electricians hooked up my power, switched the main box on....and nothing happened. Eeek. This was about ten minutes ago, let's hope it's just something small and easily fixed.
