Hi Lisa, mine (17 - just) wears jeans once for half an hour then they go next to his wash bin not in we had words now he does his own washing on a Saturday morning, could you compromise? They sound old enough to cope!!

As for planet names and the one that teenagers come from. . . not sure but definitely not this one!!

Oh Shy, my heart goes out to you.

It is so awful to lose part of the family and that is what he was, make no mistake.

I am so glad that you have a wonderful vet who came to your home to help you say good bye. What a difference that will have made.

I had to do the same for my oh so special boy cat Cobweb, last year. They will always be a part of our lives.

Glad you have a holiday coming up.

NONE of mine seem able to open lid of the wash bin. EVERYTHING goes either beisde, behind or on top of it. That is what isn't left on the bathroom and soaked after baths are finished!!!!!!!

Lisa - Gotta agree here - you look awesome!

Shy - on losing part of your family. Pets are such a big part of our lives!

Lou - What's with you forgetting your tea? Are ya gettin senile?????

My whinge for today - Both the little boys refused to eat breakfast this morning. DBF, me and the girls are fasting but they are too young. When I came out of my room this morning Cartoons were blasting on the tele. Huge NO-NO in my house before school. I asked my housemaid what was up and she said they told her "MOM SAID" they weren't suppose to eat! Little buggers! By that time, it was time to catch the bus so they both went to school hungry! I need to have a talk with my housemaid this afternoon when I get home because this is unacceptable.

Isn't it a rule that if you live overseas you get to have a housemaid????????

Seriously Maid - I didn't originally want a housemaid but, as there are no day care centers here, if you work and have small children, you HAVE to have a housemaid to watch. Over the years, I have gotten lazy and become very dependent on her. But it's nice because the time I do have at home I get to spend with the kids instead of cooking and cleaning. Except during Ramadan when I do all the cooking. Housemaid just helps with the prep and clean up.

Blondie . . . a curious anthropological thought . . . who looks after the housemaids kids, does she have a housemaid too?

Thought I was going senile there for a while but I have at last remembered my tea and water, work is well stocked!

'Maid!' you already have a maid in the house

I have a whinge . . . it's freezing, so much for an indian summer

It's still very hot and very humid here!!!!!

Huge Whinge today!!! Last night when we went for our run after prayers, we left the kids at this park they love. It is beautiful and has loads of room to rollerblade. When we got back, youngest dd had fallen and bashed up her mouth, chin and knee. Even chipped a tooth! So I had to play Dr. Mom when we got home. Got her bathed and bandaged. By the time I got myself myself bathed and in bed it was after mignight!!!!! I did make it out of bed for Suhoor at 4:15. But I let the girls sleep. Didn't think they would feel like getting up after last night. So once again, I'm completely exhausted. Al Hamdu Lillah (Thank God!) DBf is taking his ds to an Iftar Buffet tonight so I told the housemaid to fix supper for the kids and I plan to sleep and sleep and sleep some more after work today!
