Blondie - I like your new avi pic, you look pretty! Red tape is the worst, you ask Maid . . .

Okay my whinge for the day . . . I now live in a belfry . . . my cat can fly and has brought a bat into the house, it’s roosting in the tallest part of the house (13ft ceiling in the hall) . . . it’s very cute but . . . how the h**l am I supposed to get it down? I suppose a pair of tights and a wire coathanger would do it but guess what . . . I’m all out of those!!!!! (see previous lou-bi whinges)

I’m having a little ‘batfink’ . . . okay now I’ve thought about it . . . I would say that you can move a bat but not lots of bats, as it’s not a roost. I know that some bats carry rabies so we have to be careful . . . darned cat!!

My cats used to bring birds in the house - mostly dead ones. But now I live on the 15th floor with no balconies so no more of that nonsense!!!

My Dyson vac would probably suck up a bat. Just sayin.

Is there any animal control or rescue services by you. You know the little old people who go around collecting stray cats and such? Maybe they could come catch the little bugger. If not, I vote for an open door and a tennis racket.

I've said to Richard, 'I'm off to the gym tonight and I'll be back when it's gone!!', seriously though, we've looked on the RSPCA website and there's a list of do's and don'ts as long as your arm, so if he can't get rid tonight then we'll call someone in tomorrow.
I've been asking around and no-one has a fishing net, you know, those ones we had when we were little, for catching minnows? People don't know how to live anymore. Okay that was whinge no. 2 for the day!!!!

I work in an office and work 07.50 ‘til 5 with every other Friday off, I usually only whinge during the week as weekends are sacred!! LOL (unless I’m really hacked off, of course)

Our bat went on Saturday night we let it go out of an upstairs window, at dusk, never to be seen again . . . which reminds me I do have another whinge . . . the bat was replaced by a blue tit in the bedroom on Sunday, in the very, very early am!!

Like the new pic!!

Thanks lou. That's my eldest dd. We were at the Arabian Cup Final so that's our flag painted on her face! We won, btw!

My whinge for today - BF and I are suppose to be taking the kids up to Ras Al Khaimah for a long weekend. The kids want to do Dreamland Aqua Park, The Sharjah Wildlife Center, The Science Museum. We already have reservations at the hotel and everything. Yesterday I put in for 1 day annual leave on Thursday. Today it came back dissapproved due to negative leave balance!!!! I carried over leave from last year so I started this year with 44 days. Can you believe these idiots are saying I've taken 53 days leave already this year!!!!! I took 5 days in mid - January when BF graduated from his course, 2 or 3 days for court appearances and that's it!!!! They have me down as taking the whole first week of Jan off which is impossible because my co-worker had the first two weeks of Jan off and we can't take leave at the same time because there are only 3 people in our section!!! GGGGRRRRRRR. I'm so hacked off right now! This company is the most inefficient place I have ever worked for!

I'm going to add this to my list of things that sound dirty on LCF, but aren't.

Hooray, sun at long last. Oops, forgot that this is the whinge thread. Okay, we got a trampoline for the kids. That is the good part. Bad part is that about 30 minutes after we set it up, annoying neighbour boy comes over. He is 15, the size of an adult, and gets on it. He then starts jumping and flopping around, screaming his head off yelling. My kids are all 8yrs and under. They were practically bounced off the thing. So then I end up spending the next hour watching everyone and making them take turns so nobody gets hurt.

I let him stay about and hour and then asked him to go home. Then I had to tell him and then finally sort of bark at him to go home. And to top it all off, he goes home crying his eyes out and I end up feeling guilty (he is special needs). His parents basically ignore him. And I really do hate making the kid cry, but seriously, it is not my job to mind him all day for free.

I seriously considering a locked gate around the yard.

Are those for me? Aw, thanks Kissa!

Today was a bit better. Seriously, there are certain times of the month that I am less patient than others.

My dh had the day off and after a few hours he gave the boy the boot home. At least I didn't have to do it today.

It is so hard. I mean, how can I tell the neighbour lady nicely to keep her kid out of my house and yard?

Maybe it is something you and DH could do together? That way it isn't coming from the 'Yank' up the road and you can support each other.

Okay, deliveries. Arranged a delivery for this afternoon, between noon and 5 pm. Paid an extra £5 for the privilege.

Got home from the gym at 11.30 to find a note saying that he had already been.

MAY get back this afternoon. Grrrr

What's the opposite of a whinge? An anti-whinge? Well, I don't have a whinge today. Just wanted to say that all is (finally) well with me and BF. Don't know why it takes that man so long to actually admit that he is wrong and he's being an ass! Anyway, I guess the upside of battling with him is the FANTASTIC make-up ***!!!!!! Did I really say that. Hope none of my kids read this!

Nothing to whinge about today. I have been in such a lovely upbeat mood lately. DBf has been adorable. We went out friday night and he was carrying on about "You really do look awesome since you've lost weight, you're so beautiful......" So nice to hear from a man who is usually so reserved! Don't know what was wrong with people Friday night, but it seemed EVERYONE wanted fight! Everyone EXCEPT DBF!!! Usually when he drinks he wants to fight - generally with men who he thinks are spending too much time looking my direction. But Friday he was the one trying to break up fights! He reckons it's cause that was the last friday before Ramadan.

I guess if I HAVE to come up with a whinge it has to be the damn A/C work! this crazy woman who sits in the cubicle behind me INSISTS on setting the damn thing on 18!!!!! It is a wall mounted Split unit that blows directly on my back! Even when it is set on 25 I still have to wear a jacket and leave occasionally to get my hands warm. So this woman - she is 12 years younger and looks older than me and she is quite overweight, whereas I am 10lbs form goal, actually tells me - I'm losing my health that's whay I'm cold all the time, I need to see a doctor! I don't even dignify her comments with an answer. She isn't worth it!

Big whinge today!!!!! As of this evening (providing Saudi announces the start of Ramadan tomorrow) we will not be going out, so DBF wanted to have one more night out before going dry for a month. I have already gone dry for more than a month now. So we went out. He proceeded to get drunk and was simply horrible. Argumentative, mean, nasty. I ended up walking out of the Pub and leaving him. He was very apologetic and contrite this morning but I'm feeling pissy and don't want to forgive him just yet. As a result of last night, my whole mood is ruined today. I just want to go home, crawl back into bed (ALONE!) and sleep the day away!
