I don't have anything but plastic hangers Lou. That drives me batty too.

I don't know if this is a whinge or just a story of a really stupid that happened to me...

DH calls me on the mobile while I am driving and asks me to pick up some Chinese takeaway. No problem, but I dont have a menu in the car. Called national directory, gave town, etc. Called in an order of soups, a couple of starters for the kids (chicken satays, egg rolls). I even ordered my favourite Prawns with spicy chilies. It is wicked awesome and LC.

Go to pick it up.....the place is closed for renovations. WTH? I call the place and directory gave me the WRONG TOWN! It's a chain place and I just made a €30 order with the wrong bloody takeaway!! It is 40 minutes away.

Call the place back, try to explain to non-English speaking person who then passes me onto the manager. She speaks fine English and starts getting a little nasty because she thinks it's some stupid prank. I apologized profusely and offerred to pay the bill if she'd send it on. Surprisingly, she told me to just forget it, but gave me another tongue-lashing for not being 'more responsible with ordering takeaways'. I really did feel bad, but DH told me that they would probably just resell them. Soup and eggrolls are pretty popular.

So DH had no takeaway. , the kids were disappointed and I got scolded like a naughty schoolgirl.

I ended up making the family some sausage and chips and that cheered them up.

Yes, I can laugh at it today, but I did feel badly when it happened. We have our own biz and I would never prank someone with a fake order.

My whinge today is the same one all LAST summer....Annoying Neighbour Boy Who Runs Wild. Grrrrrr.

His school let out last Friday. He has been over to my house on Friday nite, Saturday, not Sunday because we were out, Monday, yesterday and now just knocked on the door to come in. I told him no. I hate having to tell him to go away. Sometimes he cries and/or gets angry. I have tried talking to the mother about limiting his visits, she is useless, says she can't control him. Truth is she can't be bothered and takes advantage of all the neighbours to mind him while she is shopping, cleaning, whatever.

I put up with a lot last summer, but I've learned my lesson. Nobody can take advantage of me unless I let them, dh reminds me. I feel badly because the poor child doesn't have many friends nearby, but then again, I have my own kids to mind and don't need another every day. Sometimes if you have a big family, people just assume you love kids SO MUCH that you wouldn't mind watching a few extra. WTH?

it really isnt acceptable what his mother does maybe u need to have more of a pointed word.. i know its hard cos u live in a small place but all u can do is yr best, if she ignores it then well at least u tried

my only whinge today is whre is summer??!!! then i read its not going to happen anytime soon well if its not gonna happen soon is it gonna happen at all?? apparently our sun is stuck over the azores well surely they dont need it that much

I learnt today that I hate sitting in a Jury lounge all day and then not being chosen. I even got a numb b*m! Normally I would describe myself as patient, today was pushing it!

I am SICK of eating frozen or tinned veggies!!! I will go bonkers if I eat another helping of Yellow Squash or Zuchini Squash. Dang!!! Didnt' anybody plant any other veggies this spring????

When I pay you €340 to move the meter on my house, I expect that you will do it when you say you will and not hold up my builders. Three working days, my arse.

You certainly sent me the bill quickly enough. The one that I paid two weeks ago because it's your policy that you get paid prior to doing the work.

p.s. Thanks for letting me wait on hold for 15 minutes to talk to a live person only to tell me that the computer system is down and you can't access my records. Also, an additional thanks for being the only electrical supplier available so I have to put up with this nonsense. Grrrrrrrrr.
