Yep and the tomatoes are rubbish tasting too, unless you buy v. expensive on the vine or grow your own! By the way supermarkets, tomatoes are in season please reduce your prices to reflect that!!!!!!!

Spinach is only lasting a few days and the iceberg lettuce I bought I had to remove half of it before I got to a bit I could use!!

<hands on hips> humpfh!!

My iceberg is the only lettuce I don't wash normally, just take off the outer few leaves and chop it up...not any more, 2 nights ago a happy little caterpillar was waving from my plate! Yuk.

Tip on tomatos...put them in a brown paper bag to ripen them or leave them on a widow sill. Because they aren't fully ripe when picked or they wouldn't make it to the stores.

Nice! And who doesn't like Cardini's? Mmmm... must get some of that. I've got some Tesco Finest Caeser dressing right now, but it's not nearly as good. I think I fancy a stroll up to the big Tesco extra next week while I'm off work, to pick up those things I can't get in the little Tesco Metro up the road (like some more lard!)

My bloody exercise bike hasn't been delivered. Or rather it wasn't delivered in the morning, in the delivery slot they gave me. Then I had to go out to the dentist in the afternoon and of course when I got home there's a card from the delivery company. Grrr... And guess who the delivery service is: Home Delivery Network. GAH! HDN, those initials rile me up as much as the initials BNP. So this is going to be a great big nightmare.

Also, I chipped my favourite big purple coffee cup when I was washing up.

Now it will have to concentrate on its other job as big purple one-minute-muffin mug. Mmmm... haven't had one of those for a couple of weeks.

Well, the bike ain't coming. I should have known. Home Delivery Network = EPIC FAIL.

During one of my four phone calls in the last three days to this bunch of muppets I was told they gave me the wrong delivery time for Tuesday. Whoops, sorry.

But they can't give me a new delivery date until the van comes back with the parcel. (Presumably they live in a parallel universe with no mobile phones and their drivers spend all their time on the road incommunicado, like medieval knights on a crusade.)

Well the parcel finally arrived back at their depot today (only 48 hours later. Geez, who knew they had a depot on the moon?) And now the earliest delivery date they will give me is 24th. Well that's no damn good, I'm back at work next week. I'm not taking another of my precious holiday days to wait in for these clowns that I have no reason to believe will turn up.

So I've told them to cancel the order and send it back from whence it came. (They'll probably lose it in a wormhole in the space-time continuum now.) And I've emailed Littlewoods catalogue to say you've not only lost a sale thanks to these buffoons, but probably a customer. It closely resembled the email I sent to Amazon last year, on the exact same subject, before I deleted all my details from their site and never ordered from them again.

Why are perfectly good firms, with perfectly good service using this horribly bad company for their deliveries? EVERY experience I have had with them has been bad. And I used to think White Arrow were crap, but HDN make White Arrow look like the Milk Tray man in the delivery stakes.

I'm off to Argos or Tesco Direct.

Why Cosmic, thank you! It is original, I thought of it myself. You may blow your nose on my tissue any day.

I am so glad that you are happy back 'home' but I wish you were still here, telling us the best places to get a great Margarita in Chelmsford....

Ohh Kissa there is a Tapps place near the shopping center in town. I loved that place and I can't think of the name of it now...give me a bit. Ohh and my favorited Chinese. Funny how street names and resturant names are going.

I am happy for the most part but I do miss England a lot some days. I hope that as soon as I get hired on with a good job I can plan a trip over to visit. I can't believe it has been a year.

I know what you mean, I have lived in so many great places and I hate it when I start to forget place names.

It is so strange to think we never met up, especially you, Shy and Glamourpuss who all lived so near each other.

So here is the deal. Yesterday was going great, I mowed the lawn and my MOM was really happy with me and my Dad. I went to exercise and then I came home to find a letter from the State of Kentucky Attorney Generals office. I was like ohh cool this might be about my application for a job. WRONG...it was about my Audiology license. They are telling me a 4 month program is not good enough. UMMMM....Can you say upset and ready to cry. They did not review all my transcripts and I know they have them all because the secretary confirmed this with me. SO... in the end I am looking at the laws to get my license my dad is reading and interperting them. While my mom keeps butting in and I keep trying to explain some things. Finally no one is listening so I call Paul(my brother). Whom for some reason they always listen too. He comes down reads through the letter we are then going over the laws and regs again. So...I spent all night once again sorting all NEW transcripts to be ordered and giving him a time line of my actions. I just now have to make some calls. Which I have to work today so I will do my best to do them from there. This is very frustrating. I still need to pass the exam. However, I do have the knowledge, work experience, and the education. I don't really know what else to do. So thank you very much for letting vent. When I just want to cry. However, I am not a quitter and I keep right on pluggin through until I get to the end.

All I can say is I sure hope having a brother who is an Attorney and father is a Judge will come in helpful because I am ready to pull my hair out!!!

I told them I was just going to move back to England, at least I know I will get a job. Might have trouble affording some place to live but I would have a good job in what I love and what I am good at.

I can't either...shame we didn't meet. Who was sick at St John's or were they at St Andrew's?

Because St Andrew's had the chocolate muffins from Heaven that kept calling my name. I had to stay away from them. Man I so stressed today and thinking about those muffins is almost enough of a reason to move back over there.
