Are there any low carbers in the cincinnati ohio area that may be interested in getting together?

Hello... I will be when I get home. I know there are a few girls from Kentucky in the Century club. One is in Lexington and on in Louisville. So come post in the lounge there and find them. I am in England at the moment but moving home this summer. I always fly into Cincy. So when I get home maybe we can.

Also hit the pigroast thread. It is held in Gatlinburg Tennesse well in that area. I know that isn't to far for a weekend. It is normally a good time.

Actually, I'm starting a list of Ohio LC'ers and locations. There are several people from Cincy itself, and a few more of us towards Dayton, and a couple more in Columbus.

Tried to get a few to stop at Poppadeux's last summer for dinner, maybe this year?

We actually did this a couple of years ago and several people showed up, then I organized one a few months later and I had one girl show up (who it turned out I knew from elsewhere anyway - that was pretty funny). But though I occasionally see a thread like this here, I haven't seen anyone pull it off in a while. I'm game, though.

A restaraunt...I think it was in Covington down on riverboat row, but I can't remember which one now. We had about 6 or 7 people that time. I set up one a few months later at an Outback Steakhouse, and only one other person showed up (and turned out to be someone I knew from other circles...weird).

I'm interested, but I gotta tell you, I'm in the midst of some major transition (my boyfriend is moving down here from the Kent/Akron/Cuyahoga Falls in 5 days) so I don't know what life is going to look like for a while. Keep me posted, but I can't promise anything right now.

A steak house would be a good choice, or cracker barrel, who has a nice low carb menu. TGI Friday's would be another good place. Or red robin for thier gourmet bunless burgers.

If any of you would definitely try to come, which of the above places sound good to you?

I'd be willing to plan something, but I'm not sure if a monthly thing would work out. It would be nice to have it at a place where we could bring things to share and for others to sample. Maybe if we get this going, next year we could have an actual picnic or something.
