Not a big breakfast eater....any help?!

I'm not a big breakfast eater and I just started induction. It seems that eggs and met are the essential approved breakfast items. I don't eat pork and very light on beef. Any one have any ideas on breakfast other than eggs and meat. Any one have any ideas how to maintain high protein without a lot of red meat?

chicken, fish, turkey, tuna salad, egg salad, flax seed cereal...I hate eggs too and I usually eat 2 cheeseburgers for breakfast. Sometimes I even eat my big salad for the day for breakfast to make sure I eat it.

some help

Try going to the grocery store and get some of the new atkins bread or granola bars, they have all kinds of stuff even chocolate. It's a little more expensive but it tastes the same. Also if you like sandwiches try using big pieces of lettuce instead of bread just put mayo on the lettuce and put meat and its really good. You can e-mail me if you need more help. Don't give up this really works. michelle.horist@lighting.ge.com.

Meat Options

I don't do meat either. I use veggie cheeses (soy based). This morning I made my omlet with egg beaters and mozerlla flavored veggie shreds. Very tasty. In pace of ketsup, I found a 1 carb salsa to put on my eggs. I also had two Boca Sausage patties (again soy based - no meat). Total carbs were 6 for breakfast!!!!

There are many meatless options that will give you adequate protein. Look at the soy products. In the grocery store to the fresh veggie section and somewhere you will find all the soy based stuff. There's balona, salami, burgers, bacon, ground beef. All this is soy based. In the frozen section you'll find the boca products. Be careful though, as some are high in carbs. I found the garden burger (brownish boxes) in the freezer section to be very good and low in carb (1 -2 per pattie). you can get chicken, beef, veggie medley flavors.

I pretty much cut out all dairy and the veggie cheese (shredded and slices) were the perfect solution to cheese. There are 0 to 1 carb per serving and a lot of protein.

You can use the soy based ground beef for chillie. I use the diced tomato/garlic/pepper can and some black beans and seasoning. Tastes great.

Eat Lots of fish, especailly salmon which is rich in fatty acids that are good for you (omega3 and omega6) you could make yourself a small piece of salmon in the morning, or if you like eggs make an egg omelet with feta cheese and tomatoes and crumble the whole thing into a salad. you don't really need to eat alot of beef and pork to do this diet. I have done it for 3 weeks and lost 15 pounds b/c i make up new recipes to try. get creative and drink LOTS OF WATER!!! if you want to chat more about this, e-mail me Gina: Cornchip4u@AOL.COM ALSO CHECK OUT: ATKINSONLINE.COM They have everything there like low glycemic breads, muffins for the morning, etc. worth looking at!!
