I'm in Daytona. I'm lcing/ maitenence. Although i did manage to gain a couple pounds in maitanence, but shhh dont tell....lol, i need to get back down to goal weight. But im the same height as you, and pretty much had the same stats. Started off the same weight as you at @ 200#'s. If you need any motivation, a question, or anything, feel free to pm me. I would love to have a gathering in Orlando I wonder who else is in the Orlando Area??

Were also close in age. I'm 26, turning 27 in Sept.

I live in Ocoee, which is just west of Orlando. I am older than you two are, but I have a 20 year old daughter that is also lowcarbing.

If you decide to organize a get together, we'd love to come! I think it would be fun!!! Not to mention support for each other.

I just joined the board and I'm not lowcarbing, but I just started Weight Watchers and am doing my own version of the flex plan. I would love to meet some of you sometime!

Hi all!

As I said last week, I'm leaving tomorrow on vacation. I will return on Aug. 21st. While I'm away, please try to figure out a date and a place you all would like to meet. Let's get this show on the road!! lol

It looks as if a weekend would be best for some. I will go with the majority of the votes. If it is a weekend, it might be a bit harder to find a place that would give us a big table and not try to rush us, so we'll have plenty of time to chit chat. lol

What kind of a place would you all like to meet at? A Golden Corral, TGI Fridays, or maybe even a Cracker Barrel. Any other suggestions? It doesn't matter to me, just someplace we can all find something yummy to eat.

I think this would be a lot of fun!! We could sit and talk, compare recipes, tips, and just give each other support.

I'm really looking forward to this. My daughter and myself have been LCing for over 3 years now. I've wanted to do this since day 1.

I'll be checking mail while gone, so let's work on this!!!

OK..........let's try to get this planned! I think we need to pick a date a little ahead of time, because it doesn't seem like anyone checks this board too often. How about............ Sept. 23rd? That's on a Saturday and 2 weeks from today. Maybe for lunch??? Or how about one evening for dinner? Even during the week for dinner is OK with me. It's hard because I don't know anyone else's schedule!

As for where, I'm in Ocoee, but I don't mind driving a little ways. Whatever is central for everyone that wants to join us.

My wife and I are Lcing for 2 months now, would love to get together with y'all from other parts of Fla. Were in Spring Hill just North of Tampa. maybe a picnic might work out better at a park. Just trying to help. We have 2 kids (boys 5 & 6 ) We just signed up tonight on here Deb is 39 and I am 45 & were searching for new friends.

As for getting together, it doesn't look like there is a lot of interest in doing this. It's probably because everyone is so busy with just life in general. I can relate! lol

I like your idea of meeting in a park, but right now, it's still pretty hot out, and it's hard for people to have to cook/bake/make something to bring when they are so busy. If we do get to have a group get together, maybe at least the first one would be better to have at a restaurant. Then all you have to do is show up! lol

I'm located just northwest of Orlando, in Ocoee. There is another lady here in Ocoee too but I haven't heard from her in a while. There seemed to be quite a bit of interest in doing this, but it seems like no one checks this post anymore.

It's looking like next Saturday is out of the question now. Are there any other dates that anyone would like to work on?

Hi everyone!

I'm so glad there seems to be more interest in getting together. I had originally mentioned getting together this coming Sat. but that's too soon now to get planned.

As for where, there are sooooooooo many places where we can all eat that I'm sure we can all agree on some place. The problem is a date and what time of day would be best for everyone.

Why don't we all say when we're available and go from there. I'm available any evening about 7PM and most weekends for either lunch or dinner. What about the rest of you all??

So what do you say??? I'm not good at this and really wish someone else would plan this! All I can say is I'll do my best to get this organized, but we have to keep up with this and just try to get it done. Where do you all like to eat? Favorite restaurants??? Suggestions???
