Pigroast Cabin Information...

I have reserved a cabin for the pigroast, which is being held on May 19th and 20th.... this is where we are having the meet and greet on Friday night. Several of you wanted to know our cabin location so that you can get a cabin near by. This will make it is easier to get to all the Pigroast activities. I told the rental company that if people called from the lowcarbfriends group they will want to get a cabin in the same area as ours, so when you call... give them the name of the cabin I rented which is called Grin and Bear It... Of course you do not HAVE to stay in the same area if you have a cabin you are wanting to stay at but the cabin company that I rented from has 1/2 price on all the cabins through the end of May... This is a darn good deal! ... especially if you are sharing a cabin with several others and split the cost...

. I'm still trying to figure out just where these cabins are. We go several times a year to that area and I am pretty sure we probably drove by there. Just cant place where they are

I'm going to check the site again now. Some of them have pools inside the cabins

The turn off to the cabin is on Wears Valley Road... does that help?

The rental place will send you directions if you are renting from them... if you are renting somewhere else, don't worry... I will be posting directions to the cabin for the meet and greet Friday night.

I know where that is. Brothers Cove where we usually stay is on Wears Valley Road too. I am thinking you turn left by the store there and its those cabins there

Our turnoff is not too far from the krogers and not far from the main street where the city park is.. I am going wait for them to send my directions and cabin number and then post the information so people can get to our cabin... I am sure you will be able to find it. Are you going to try renting in our area or in a cabin you have been at before (I know you go there often)

Hey Cheri yoru cabins , I believe, are off Lost Branch Rd. which is off Wears Valley Rd.
Lost Branch is about 3-3.5 miles from the parkway in Pigeon Forge. I used to live out Walden's Creek Rd. Which is the road to the right before Lost Branch. It is a very beautiful area.

Let me know if you need anything done or sent to you. I am in Sevierville several times a week and venture in to see my parents in Gatlinburg usaually.

We got a very nice 3 bedroom cabin. My mom is coming with us and a couple of the other girls here may share our cabin with us. I cant wait, this is going to be so great meeting everyone

I talked to Glenda at the resort, she had no clue about the LCF group coming lol. I told her your cabin name and told her to put us close as possible. She said the cabins are grouped together according to how many bedrooms they have. all 5 bedrroms together, all 3 bedrooms together and so on. Anyway, we got ours booked

Cheri, is there a paypal acct where we can go ahead and pay our fees yet?

what cabin did you get? I get off work at 6am on the 18th and I'll take my bath get ready and hit the road. I can sleep on the way down and Tom can drive

Check in time is 4pm so we will cruise town or grab a bite to eat till its open.

trisha, i got a 4 bedroom with a pool. we hope to leave around 4 am. it will take 12 hours without stops and even longer when we stop to eat , etc....i hope to arrive by 8pm thursday.

Hi, my cousin wants to come in on Wednesday, she wants to go to dollywood and sightseeing, so I called today to confirm and the manager told me if I stay 5 nights instead of 4 (wed - Sun) the 5th night is free so i have an email to my cousin to see if she is interested...i know dh will flip but thats what wives are for. anyway. ill keep ya posted!

That would be great for you. If you have to drive that far a longer stay will give you time to relax and have fun. I wish we could do that too but we cant take off work that many days without getting into our vacation time. We will get there on Thursday. Cant wait to meet everyone there

Swimming Bear is the name of the cabin....its a big one but after driving 700 miles with my cousin we may need our space

The deposit is the first nights rent. Pay the balance when you get there. There is also a cleaning fee and tax that is added to the balance. They will tell you on the phone how much

Check in time is 4pm and check out time is 10am. She told me that its possible to check in at 3pm if the cabin wasnt rented the night before. Also, if your cabin isnt rented the day you check out, you can extend your checkout time till 11am

I had forgotten to post about the fee.. I know someone had asked me. If you would like to take care of your fees you may pay them to cherilynn8@hotmail.com . If you paypal it be sure to put in the comments who you are and that its for the pigroast. Last year a lot of people came at the last minute also so if you want, you can wait till you get there because we will have someone collecting it.

Cost of the Pig Roast will be $15.00 per person... this will pay for the cost of the pork... all paper products and door prizes. People will bring side dishes to share and their own drinks....
