Hi there!
We like Gilbert a lot, but are actually building a new house in Maricopa. My parents just moved to Apaceh Junction. They're in one of the "retirement resorts" on Meridian. Very nice park and they're loving the winter here. Glad to know there are a few other LCers out here in sunny AZ! Good to meet you! |

HEATSWEET........ OMG! I think we're neighbors... that's exactly where I live!! I looked at your profile... we definitely gotta talk! I'm a working mom to a 5yo daughter and you & I are even the same age.... it's cosmic girl! Let me tell you about a local working moms playgroup you might be interested in... also, I'm a long time low carber so I can probaby help you out with that! I can't PM you (I think you can only get PM's after you've been on the boards for a certain amount of time), so contact me, okay?

Hi
Hi Julie,
I'm Deb and I live in Gilbert too. (Higley and Williams Field) I have been on lc on and off for many years but now I think I'm back for good. I need to lose about 25 pounds, which doesn't sound like a lot but I'm just obsessed with food. Wheneve I get stressed, I eat and it's been really hard since January when my husband got sick. I'm also in menopause which makes losing harder, plus I have all this fat around my middle which I never had before. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and the rest of the folks on this list. Take care, Deb |

Hi Deb, we do live close. I live at Ray and Val Vista, in Western Skies. I've been LCing for almost 3 years now. Initially I lost 100 lbs but regained about 20-25 this past year and half. I got back on track finally in Feb and have re-lost most of that again. I am thinking about 15-20 more,, but will wait and see what my body thinks about that. If I can do it relatively easily I will. If it's a real hard fight I will be happy as a 12. I never thought I would be this small, so anything more is pure icing on the cake.
Hang in there and keep fighting the good fight. I go to Lifetime Fitness and am working on toning everything up now. Maybe we could get together for a local LC gathering. Take care,

You're right down the street! I joined Curves a couple of weeks ago and I go to one close to where I work. I work for a vet on McClintock and Elliott. I'm sitting here now trying to figure out what to eat for breakfast. I have some lc shakes which are quick and easy but not right for induction. Guess I need to break down and eat an egg.
It would be fun to plan a lc get together. When I lived in Colorado I had a lc friend at work and we would bring stuff for lunch all the time. She made up a really good chicken recipe that is quick and easy. Take care and I'll talk to you soon. |

Hi low carb Arizona friends
I just love this Fourm group it is so much fun! It is so neat to see all the low carb friends that are close to me! I have not found my dream house yet but have my eye on a few. I went yesterday to AH mall I just love it there I go upstairs and walk around twice then I go down and walk around twice unless I see something good to buy then it is three times lol my niece is really into 'Build a Bear' so I end up spending about 45 min looking at stuffed animals and clothes for them lol
