Austin, Tx gathering anyone?

OK, some of us Austinites are just so jealous to have missed out on the big TX gathering near Waco recently.

Anyone interested in an Austin gathering again? We did it last year at Saltgrass - We can do it there again or anywhere else you'd like!

OK, so let's think for a sec....anyone want to suggest a restaurant that is fairly inexpensive (cause Saltgrass IS a little pricey and these days whjo ISN'T on a budget? *LOL*)

Seeing as how I'll be coming up from San Marcos, name a place!!!

I do think a buffet style restaurant is a great idea.

There is a Golden Corral in North Austin, I'll have to see if there's one in South (th North one gets pretty crowded but the food is really good).

Yup. I LOVE Sirloin Stockade. There's one in ROund Rock that's really good. I'm sure there are some in Austin too.

Hmmmm I guess its time to strap on the feed bag again..... I did gain a couple pounds this weekend at the Waco gathering...but its already gone thanks to 5 miles on an elleptical machine!

YAY!!! Count me in also. I am in Northwest Austin. Snow White - was thinking the Stockade might be easier for everyone to find since its right off I-35. The Golden Corral (if you are speaking of the one on North Lamar) might take some navigating for some. I wanted to get to Waco really bad but hours have been cut at work to the bone and the gas alone would have been downright ugly! I missed Salt Grass last year - had just joined board. And - you are right - I think its a little pricey. Do you think at least a month out would be good so everyone has time to plan? Yippy.....

I am going to my folks this weekend........... My next free weekend isn't until end of May.....

I think Memorial day weekend..is a bad time to do this. I won't be available that weekend either. I will be at the Brazos. We might want to move this into the first weekend of June..maybe the 4th or the 11th of June. Just a thought. I will try to make it if I can.

Hi ya'll. I was away for a few days. I don't know what our plans are for June yet cause we have to check with our inlaws schedule. I know either the first or 3rd weekend we are going to Tennessee - then at some point they are coming to Austin for a few weeks. July will be tough too because my sister in law is having a baby and we'll be back in Tennessee for that - and I'll be staying there for a while to help out.

But continue on with the plans and we'll see if we can come up with a date that will work for most of us
