I'm new to Jacksonville!!!

Hi everyone! I just moved to Jacksonville, Florida. Does anyone have gatherings here? Unfortunately, my spouse isn't very supportive of my low carb lifestyle (he's a skeptic). I'm always wanting to get to know fellow low carbers. I am also new to this site and I have to say that this is a great site! If more people knew about sites like these I feel there would be less people giving up.

Hi. I am from Texas, but was in Jacksonville on business in January. Didn't find a lot of low-carb support there. There was one lc store, but it was across town from where I was staying. Maybe you could start a support group? I know there are folks on this board for Jax, do a search for them, and see what you can do. Good Luck!

Texas huh? I just moved here from Ft Worth. I really enjoyed the 4 years that I lived there. Texans are one of a kind people. Doyou remember any info about the low carb store you saw in Jax? I'm finding that the grocery stores here don't carry as many low carb products and it's very dissapointing.

The only low-carb store I found was on the South side, Orange Park area. But there is always wal-mart. Also I see there are some others in this BB that want to start a Jax group. Get with them.....enjoy!

btw...I grew up in Ft. Worth, live in San Antonio now, but Jacksonville is a nice place, just needs to stop growing.
