Someimes, it's nice to know there's folks around you struggling with the same things you are.

Hi Sarah! I have tried to get some people interested before in meeting in the Dallas/Fort Worth area...but nobody has really ever been interested. I live in Mansfield too! That is so weird. I have never met anyone on this forum before that lived so close to me. I'm at work at the moment so I'm kinda rushed. But, I'll write back later and let you know a little bit about myself.

Well, I've lived in Arlington for about 20 years, and I moved to Mansfield 3 years ago. Married, three kids, only one left at home - 15 y/o boy - goes to Mansfield High.

I work for a non-profit, that's why it took me a couple of days to reply - we had HUGE fundraising lunch Friday - I've been swamped.

usu. attend First United Methodist church... when I can find a parking spot!

Am a member of Utopia gym - love to go there, but have my membership on hold right now - trying to figure out my schedule - used to go at 5:00 in the AM, but thinking about moving that to 6:00 -

tons more, but don't want to bore you!

Sorry I haven't had time to email you yet. I was at the Gaylord in Grapevine all weekend so I didn't have time to get on the laptop.

I live north of the metroplex at Lake Texoma, but not too far from Dallas. How did you enjoy the Gaylord? We have thought about taking a weekend there sometime.

Hi GalTexas!

The Gaylord is incredible! You would love it. My husband and I went there last year for our 1 year wedding anniversary...we had the best time! We stayed for 2 nights in a suite. They have the best food there. It was all really expensive.......but very relaxing. That place is beautiful. I definately recomend it.

This past weekend I went because they were having a convention there...and I had to be there for work. My husband and I stayed there for the weekend. He just played around while I worked.

Lake Texoma!?! I haven't been there since I was a kid. Pretty place.

Thanks for the info! I agree their prices are high, but with four kids we rarely get a weekend away, so it would be worth it! Hopefully we can sneak a weekend in sometime soon.

We have a thread called "it's a TEXAS SIZE GATHERING"...you should join us there. I live in Mansfield.

We are going to have a gathering in April on the 23rd in Waco. Some people are coming from the Austin area..so Waco is half way between fort worth/dallas and Austin.

I hope you can make it!!
