Meetin' up in Bethesda, Maryland

Hi folks!

A few of us Low Carb Friends are getting together in Maryland - are you coming?

The details --

When - Tuesday, December 28, at 7:00 p.m.
Where - BD's Mongolian Barbeque restaurant in Bethesda, Maryland
Why - Because we can!

For those of you who don't know what a "Mongolian barbeque" is, here's the deal --
- ya grab a bowl
- ya grab strips of uncooked meat and toss it in the bowl
- ya grab some veggies and toss 'em in the bowl
- ya grab some small cups and fill 'em up with whatever sauces ya want
- ya grab some spices and toss 'em in the bowl
- ya hand everything to the chef and they cook 'em up!

For those wondering --
- yes, there is a normal salad bar there
- yes, they will cook it on a separate surface if you have allergies
- we're having it on a Tuesday because that fits our schedule best
- Bethesda is a suburb of Washington, DC, a bit northwest of the city
- there is a metrorail stop a few blocks from the restaurant (on the "red line")

BD's is at 7201 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD, 20814. If you take the metrorail to the Bethesda station on the red line, when you exit the station you will be on the western side of Wisconsin Ave (aka Rt 355), near Montgomery Lane. Head south (first street that direction is Hampden Lane on the right). Cross the street at a crosswalk - there should be one at Elm Street. [pleeeeeeease be careful ... drivers in the area are somewhat insane ... wait 'till you have a signal to go] Cross over Wisconsin Ave and keep heading south. BD's is on the left, just before you get to Willow Lane. If you're driving in, best thing to do is head south from I-495 (the DC beltway) on Wisconsin Ave, and make a left onto Whillow Lane (just a few blocks past the intersection with Route 410 or Montgomery Lane). There's a parking lot back there on the right - you can walk back to the street easily. Make sure you park in the lot with meters, not the market's lot (they may tow you if you park in the wrong one).

I'll sure as heck try. I'll let you know as soon as I figure out a way to get to a metro. We in Charles County arn't as special as those North of us.. we don't have metro available. harmph! I sure can't drive, its at night and i'm not supposed to drive then.. for some reason.. i can't see after dark. go figure.

Normally this would be great for me: close, good place, timing, etc., but I will be away between Christmas and New Years.

I'll bring DH, plus the girls are home from college. One's a vegetarian, but she can do Mongolian BBQ. The other one - that's her favorite thing!

he has a rasslin tournament, and they said he wont get home till about 8 or 9 at night.

so I will go to the baltimore one instead if its still on.
