Chicago Gathering - October 23rd weekend... details here!

We are going to have the gathering in Schaumburg illinois (a suburb of Chicago) on October 23rd. Several people are coming in from out of town so we have reserved a block of rooms at the Staybridge Suites at a discounted rate. For anyone that would like to book a room, they will be held until September 24th until noon. After that deadline, any rooms that are not reserved will be dropped.

Several of us will be arriving on Friday night so we will be reserving the rooms on the 22nd and 23rd. Anyone that would like to come on Friday is welcome too. When making your reservations... make sure you let them know if you will be staying Friday and Saturday night or just Saturday, so they will not charge you for 2 nights.

Here are the room layouts that Pami was so kind to give to me so everyone can see how the rooms are set up... I think they are great!

Prices for the hotel is...

One room = $95.00 + 14% tax
Two room = $125.00 + 14% tax
Tri-Room = $145.00 + 14% tax

The one bedroom has 1 bathroom while the 2 bedroom has 2 full baths. All rooms have a kitchenette and livingroom areas with pullout sleeper sofas. There is also a fitness center. Each morning you will enjoy a complimentary hot breakfast, including meats and eggs.

When you reserve your room, make sure you tell them you are with the lowcarbfriends group so they know to reserve rooms from our block... if the rooms fill up we can add more but again.. any rooms not reserved by noon on Sept. 24th will be dropped so we are not charged for them.... but if you are reserving late, you will still be able to get a room but not at the discounted rate, so make those reservations before the deadline... the sooner the better!!!

In the event you have to cancel make sure you contact them 48 hours in advance so you will not be billed for it.

Check in will be 3:00 and checkout is at noon....

Bubba I finally saw your pics......I can't wait to see you in Chicago....I must confess however that the Chicago gathering was all Carlini's idea and I merely "helped".....This should be a barrell of monkey's ..oops....I mean fun.....it's always good to meet new people who know where I have been and what I'm going thru....it always amazes me how there seems to be an instant unspoken bond between lowcarbers.....maybe it's because we all know how it feels to feel unloved and unwanted at times when in fact it usually is just our disgust with ourselves....but thanks to Dr. A we are all discovering what lies inside ourselves that we could never see before....I, for one, am proud of every single person I have met on this site and in person and those I have not yet met.....but mostly I'm proud of myself for finally "getting it"....It only took me 42 years!!! I guess I'm a lil slow...SHADDUP FATCAT
