Happy September, everyone!

Now that the fall is almost here, I am buckling down & getting back to business as far as my eating habits go. I've let too many "legal treats" slip into my WOL and I've paid the price. I have joined the 12 week transformation challenge and I am determined to keep calories as well as carb down each day.

Mary- I read you last post. Congrats on your continued success.

Should we plan a get toether soon? Any thoughts?

HI

I need to get down to busines. I didn't lose a thing all summer. I've joined the Thanksgiving challenge on the Century club. I had to many big weddings that lasted 2 days each plus numerous other excuses. I am the type that says I will havejustone and end up eating the whole box/bag. I'm compulsive. So far today
I've been good.

I joined the 12 week transformation challenge. I feel like it will get me back on track. Trying to keep calories down to 1200 or so and total carbs at 20. So far, so good.

back home

Hello Friends:

I am back from the cottage now. It feels good to be home again. I love having my computer back. I make the sacrifice to live without it because I love the beach and the woods and the peace and quiet of the country.

So I am getting on board to see when anyone is getting together. I have had the Cajun Blue Cheese Bacon Onion Steakburger on a Ceasar salad at the 99 and it is yummy! Very flavorful.

As far as getting serious. I need to be with ppl who are on that track and hope it rubs off onto me. Any diet works if I stick to it. I know that. It is the sticking to it that is the problem.

I have been walking daily and using a stepometer. I hope to increase the amount as I go along but at least I have started. The fancy pedometer I had never did work right. This inexpensive stepometer is the best thing. It just counts your steps. No setting and no measuring your stride or any of that. I love it.

Hope to see y'all soon.

Hey Slim, welcome back!

Slim - I am back on track (at least for the past week) - I lost 4.5 pounds. I joined the 12 week Transformation Challenge that started 9/1. I am an JIG company - check it out on the Century Club board. I have committed to this and will see it out.

I am keeping calories around 1200, carbs no more than 20 (total not net) and have re-started an exercise program which includes weight lifting. I have also eliminated all LC foods such as breads, muffins, ice cream & candy. I am also making sure I have all my water daily. So far so good.

Did that motivate you, yet?

kitnmom - hope to meet you someday soon.

Hi everyone,

I forgot to check for a new thread for the month. Sorry.

I in the JIG Company with PiDevil, so we can motivate each other.

I am up for a luncheon some weekend.

On the 18th of September I am tied up in a free clothing exchange at the Main Street Methodist Church in Nashua. It is sponsored by Overeaters Anonymous. It runs from 8:30 am to 12 noon. Bring your old ones and pick up some new ones - FALL and WINTER only. A friend who can't attend had me pick up clothes she is donating so my trunk is full. I will drop them off that morning. I am going through my closet and getting rid of the 22's, 24's, 26's and 28s. I bought a 20W shorts on vacation a few weeks ago at Dress Barn. They are a good quality and so comfortable and are now hanging. So they will be in the exchange next spring. Remeber, it is all free. Last spring they had sizes from 2 up to 34.

Have a good day.

Hi all!!

i am up for a Sunday lunch any weekend in Sept/ Oct. Maybe we could set a date for Smokey Bones or ?? . I will be making a Trek to Nashua to go to Trader Joes and LC heaven in the next month or so.

Anyone interested in Sunday the 26th?? Tentative date and flexible?? I will have to recheck my schedule.

Suggestions?

Hi, Idream, long time no see!

I think I'm free on the 27th. I am pretty busy during the month of October however. I like Smokey Bones also but I'm open to other suggestions. Anyone?

Just to clarify.... are we talking about September 27, a monday?
I vote for The Ninety Nine somewhere. SB is okay but I have a favorite thing I like at the 99.

okay, I will wait to see if we really are talking about a Monday. That is fine with me if we are. Just we usually don't do that.

I am walking more since I have been home and I have lost 6 of the pounds I brought home with me so far. Yay!

See y'all soon, Carol = Slimdays

I can do it on the Sunday, the 26th. Smokey Bones sounds good. I have to go to Trader Joes too. There is a 99 around Exit 7 off Route 3 in Nashua and a Ruby Tuesday as well. What time? 1 pm or 1: 30 pm?

Let me know what you all decide.

I like the 99 too. Either is fine with me-

1:00 is a better time-gives me more time to shop afterwards.

I'm up for breakfast or lunch - on either a sat or sun - the 26th is fine too. I like smokey bones better than the 99.

If I had to vote between the 99 & Smokey Bones, I would take Smokey Bones. I have several 99's in my area but no SB's! I just love their ribs and they have large portions of fresh veggies.

I was reading a post someone wrote about Ruby Tuesday's. We were going to go there once but never made it. Is there one in the vacinity of SB's?

Ruby Tuesday's in on the same highway in Nashua just on the north side. You would take Exit 7W and it is just a few hundred yards on the right. A group of us from Nashua and Keene got together there last Feb 26th. They have a nice salad bar, and you can get a 'call ahead' type of reservation. I called ahead a couple hours and told them we had 10 people coming and they had the seating for us.

Hi All,
Would it be possible to postpone the gathering until another day?? If not, It looks like I will have to join you all next month. DD just received a Birthday Party invitation and I have to go with her. I was really looking forward to an afternoon to myself.

I won a $1000 gift certificate for the NH liquor store. I would be willing to sell it for $800. Great deal to stock your bar or to buy Christmas gifts. PM me or mag42@comcast.net

I can make it! Once October comes things get very difficult until arounf Thanksgiving. I will go to any of the above mentioned places but my order of preference is Ruby Tuesdays (because I haven't tried their LC menu), Smokey Bones and 99. But I'm open to anything. Anytime is OK. Perhaps on a Sunday, the earlier the better.

I could be available for any early-ish (noon time) lunch on Sat 10/2. I would just need to be home by midafternoon.

Is anyone out there?

Do we have a thread for October? I couldn't find it. So the Red Sox beat the Yankees!!!! I have waited a long time for that. Now they are in the World Series with the Cardinals. I have waited even longer for that. In 1967 I lost $50 betting on the Red Sox. I was young and foolish. I never bet on them again.

So when are we meeting up again? Did I miss one? Too many questions huh.

I don't think there is an OCt thread.

WE are due for a get-together.

I have a difficult time commiting unti the last minute. 3 kids with 3 schedules make it hard to plan too far ahead.

Sundays are better than Sat for me though.

Where is everybody????
