Vegas gathering???

My favorite buffets are the Rio & Orleans. Which side of town do you all live on? I live in the SW.

We live in the Northwest - right next to Summerlin. We tend to go to the Suncoast buffet a lot, but only because it is close to where we live, so it's convenient.

I haven't tried the Rio or the Orleans yet, but I am always game to try a new place out!

I used to go to the Suncoast alot, but haven't been going much lately. It always feels so crowded there. The buffet at Suncoast is ok. The same company owns Orleans, but Orleans buffet is a thousand times better. Rio is the absolute best in town! But kinda pricey too. You have got to try the Rio buffet!!!

Well maybe we should just plan on the World Buffet at the Rio as the place to meet??? Would neeed a huge table though???

Any of you living there willing to plan a meeting a place since we will all be flying in??? maybe a buffet would not be the easiest to get to know each other???

I have ya on the list SunshineLTB but don't think definite date will be posted until like Nov or even Jan??? Of course so many want different dates than I first intended but never can please all. Pooticus brought up very good idea that it should prolly be over a weekend so I need input there also and think that would be the only courteous thing to do since peeps may need to work during the week

I live in Henderson actually. The Spice market Buffet at the Aladdin is good too, as is The Bellagios ($$$) .

Henderson is the next town over. If ya all come in April, the weather should be nice. Maybe we could meet at Sunset Park and have a picnic??? I am not good at planning events but would be willing to help.

WOW!!! Lots of responses; I didn't realize there were so many people who live in Vegas! That's what I get for just hanging on "my" board!

I love the Orleans buffet, it's my fav place to eat! We need to avoid the Stations, their buffets aren't very LC friendly. I've never been to the Rio ($$$) but would love to try it; I've heard wonderful things about it!

I live in SW Vegas, Spring Valley area, so almost anywhere is convienent!

I'd be willing to help with some arrangements...

I realize that almost all the Las Vegans have already said this, but I can't believe there are so many of you that live in Las Vegas!

I live in the North and I usually go to the Cannery or Texas Station because they are close to my house. This past weekend, I just won about $150 at the Palace Station playing Blackjack!
My friend John won about $460 but he bets ballsy!

Ariel I am assuming that you will meet up with us where we decide to meet...if we can fly in from all over the country you can drive a few minutes in that crazy traffic....dodging the crazy cab drivers

I've been talking to a few who are planning to fly in and think it may be best to meet on the strip (where we will be staying) rather than taking a cab somewhere. Harrah's has free shuttle to the Rio so that would be no problem but still wonder about how we will all be able to mingle and chat while spread out in a buffet.


Well anyway I am way excited to get together with folks from the board. Every gathering planned around here I can never make for one reason or another!!!

Hi... I finally made it!!! Moved from Pennsylvania to Las Vegas (actually Henderson) last week and LOVE IT!!! I am never leaving!!!

Sounds like there are so many willing to come out and 'gather'.

I think we shoud firm up a date so that firm plans can be made.
